Proposal: Free Systems Coalition

Old Izrul, Kiribi

In the aftermath of the One Sith's successful invasion of Togoria, the Core and Mid Rim worlds of the west had been effectively cut off from the main forces of the Galactic Republic. There was now only a narrow sliver of open space left that prevented complete isolation between the, which would likely translate into very long, perilous logistical lines.

Even without being able to depend on reliable military support from the central government, the affected systems were far from helpless. In fact, it could be argued that the Republic had been split from its better half. The Kiribian Systems Union remained an economic and technological powerhouse, fielding a formidable army of advanced droids
and biots. Carida had become one of the largest military hubs of the Galactic Republic, bolstered by a huge infusion of seasoned imperial soldiers. The stalwart Eshan could always be depended on to provide a mighty force of dedicated warriors. While Chazwa had been abandoned for Yutan as the new capital, the planet still boasted some considerable assets once being the center of Republic. Alderaan may not have possessed a large standing army, but the planet was host to several valuable mineral stores and had good relations with the Mandalorians. There were many other systems in the region that offered resources that the Republic hadn't leveraged very well up to this point. Like the telepathically resistant and warlike Yinchorri, or the Colicoids, makers of deadly combat droids like the Droideka.

There were outside forces Suravi could call upon as well.
Kiribi had become a patron of the Directorate, gaining them access to the vast resources of the paramilitary organization. While she may not have been able to count on the whole of the Silver Jedi, she had contacts with some powerful players within their ranks.

Beyond them, there were other potential allies to be made as well. All of whom she had invited to
Kiribi for a gathering. It was meant to be a low key affair with little publicity, as she was currently only in the early stages of probing for support. The setting for the gathering would be in a large conference room in the skyscraper that served as her local senatorial outpost. As people arrived planetside, they would be escorted by members of the elite presidential guard to the site. More guardsmen monitored the area in plain clothes, supported by police SWAT teams hidden away in unmarked vehicles and shrouded perches. High above the skyscraper, drones orbited like vultures. Security within the building was even tighter, the area crawling with more guardsmen and the building's private security teams.

Following her action on Togoria, Arisa had returned to
Kiribi with the recalled Spacey expeditionary group, resuming her role as the Senator's personal bodyguard. Assault armor and sniper rifle had been replaced by a tasteful dress and compact PDW. In her invitation to her guests, Suravi had allowed them to bring their own bodyguards, on the condition that they exercise a similar level of discretion.

She arrived very early to her office the morning of the meeting while the twin moons were still easily visible in the indigo sky. Her first hours were spent reviewing the security detail for the, then rest of her time devoted to reviewing dossiers. She relocated to the conference room about an hour before the scheduled start of the meeting with her notes, ready to receive her guests.

Aedan Miles sat on the command throne of his ship the Dragoon's Folly a Scintel-class cruiser that he had purchased. Somewhere within this ship were the other three men who helped lead the Brotherhood of the Crimson Lotus as well as a few tag alongs. He grinned hoping that [member="Nick Imura"] and [member="Romeo Sin"] weren't tearing his ship apart somewhere or so help him he would pump them both full of stun bolts. Shaking his head as the ship came out of hyperspace he stood and made his way towards the hangar activating the ship wide PA system. "Romeo, Nick, Alkor, Lady Kay and Nikias I need you all to meet me at the hangar we have arrived at the planet and are preparing to land." With that announcement made Aedan strode into the hangar silently making his way to the single shuttle that had been placed in the position of a fair number of assault ships. Nodding to the crew of it he took a seat leaning back as his much flashier outfit settled uncomfortably on his form he hated wearing it but a meeting like this called for some degree of flair. The crimson outfit was a sleeveless tunic that fell down to his knees split on the sides from his waist down to allow free movement. His pants were silver with a pseudo blood stripe down either side only black to accent the point that he was indeed Corellian but also more likely to sit with his own idea of pride. They brought to this table mostly the fact that a decent number of the leaders were Masters in their own sense as well as Aedan's personal force of Cragmoloids that he had outfitted at great expanse to himself.

Oh this would be interesting.

All of these people gathered together just so we can talk to the faling idea of what the Republic once was. Part of me wanted to just let them fall. Let them become consumed by the greed they had of their great democracy. However, I could see how they would be useful as an ally. Still having major amounts of technology, and even Jedi who were intent on fighting the Sith and prevent the downfall of their great society, I am sure they could take whoever they could get.

As it so happened, that would be us. Our agenda was to take out the Sith factions. There was no need for them to be there. We already had Witches, Mandalorians, Alchemists, only for the Sith Empire, First Order, Sith Triumvirate, and the old faction of the One Sith still standing. Four factions that were out for the Republic, and because of that, the Republic would be hit on all sides. Literally. Their best shot at winning any any kind of war, was to get as many allies as possible.

Hence why we were here.

As much as I hated some people here. *cough* Romeo *cough* I was willing to work past our faults, even if they were narcissistic in nature, and work together as a team to accomplish a common goal. Survival of the Republic.

The Republic held nothing for Romeo anymore, it could fall and no tear would be shed for it by him. Still, this was something Aedan wanted to do, and Romeo was more than obliged to follow Aedan to this place though he had muttered to himself in his native tongue about the Imura guy coming. Why did such a being of abominations have to come with them? Romeo had shrugged, he had to work with the man and get along, but he didnt have to like the man. How could he? They were, in a sense, too alike.

Still, in the ship, Romeo had been mediating, fueling the darkness he had absorbed on Malachor and Korriban, making himself nearly a walking nexus of dark energy by now. This was his plan, to store it all up, and release it on the next Sith Lord that came in his path. "Hey Imura!!" He grimaced to himself, he was reaching out to him telepathically. "Truce till we take our first planet from Sith clutches?"

Romeo stood up and walked out of the room, searching for [member="Lady Kay"], and old friend of his. Somewhere on here [member="Alkor Centaris"] was probably drinking himself under the table. While [member="Nikias"] did whatever the 'King of Dark Jedi' did.

He dressed the part of a peasant in the company of Kings.

Alkor elected for black robes, not dissimilar to what a Jedi Knight might have worn. The long, flowing fabric fell from his shoulders and wreathed his body like a shroud. It flowed behind him like mist as he walked in perfect sync with the others, albeit several steps behind.

While the majority of the group either deferred or agreed on the concept of aiding the Republic, the Alliance, and the Jedi in their contlict against the Sith, Alkor merely conceded the point that the enemy of his enemy is useful. There were no delusions of friendship in his logic, and he felt comfortable with the assumption that the feeling was mutual. While the world appeared calm and ready to receive them, something crept beneath the surface.

His eyes remained forward as he walked, and his expression never changed. Alkor was consummate calm, even in the face of everything that he felt all at once. He felt no need to inform the others, because it was highly likely they felt it as well. Tensions were high in this place, abuzz with the word that Dark Jedi were being welcomed openly onto their world.

Of course, the Republic would be foolish to openly create another enemy, so swarmed with the problems they already had. Alkor took some measure of solace in that as he stopped for several seconds to stare skyward. His eyes narrowed and he took a slow, long breath.

The possibility lingered just ahead of them. So many at once, pulsating and sifting through the seconds. He could almost feel some uncertainties slipping away as other prevalent notions cemented themselves before them. Every thought, every life, every decision was part of the Force. Where they coalesced, vergences formed.

Such so-called "Shatterpoints" could be manipulated to great effect, if one knew exactly where to press. In an instant, one action could forge the bonds of alliance, or stoke the flames ot war. Such a phenomenon lay before them now.

The Jen'jidai stood upon the precipice of destiny.

[SIZE=10pt]Sitting in a set of personal chambers inside the ship Nikias' eyes were closed his senses in the force expanding. Not in the common way but in a new one that he had begun developing to make up for his lacking abilities in the sensing aspects of the force. It was almost like a barrier in a way as Nikias extended his telekinetic will out to encompass the room becoming aware of every nook and cranny of it without having to truly open his eyes. When something shifted he could feel it move, almost like it was a small tug in his conscious warning him of what it was. Having practically confined himself to his quarters so he didn't have to deal with whatever drama would arise on the ship between all the other dark jedi. What was I thinking bringing them all together? Nikias asked himself. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]The Hellyni soon found his concentration broken by the PA system as they were all summoned to the hanger. Guess I have to deal with them now. Nikias said steeling himself, in all honesty the group that had come together for such a goal was more than adequate and lethal in their own rights. It was just the notion of having to get a group of beings that usually opposed being together to get along. At least tolerate each other, there were some more tolerable ones out of the group such as Alkor and Aedan who simply sat on the outskirts of conflict not involving themselves with the pettiness. While there were others who had caused a tension so thick that a lightsaber could cut it. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]With no other choice but to answer the call Nikias dressed himself in the Jet robes he had acquired during his time with the Sanctum. They had saved his life in many battles and its appearance should be more than enough for such a meeting. At one point Nikias had showed up to them shirtless with only a shoulder pauldron. Best dress to impress when dealing with the Republic if they wanted to make more allies. Arriving in the hanger Nikias would be prepared for the meeting though only wished things had been more on their terms. [/SIZE]

Ayumi Pallopides

Heir to the Emperor, Former Senator of Denon
She was surprised to be added to things, The invite from Suravi was strange but why not... she was up for meeting people and moving to get in there as she stood in the duster with her form fitted bodyarmor underneath. She looked like some of the older inquisitors that her family had employed long ago. For protection and getting to the truth of things before. Meeting with them here though while coming in the senator only really knew a few people from various things she could work with. Aedan Miles was well known both for his help, his hindrances and how he and many were mistreated for protecting the Republic in a war. Might not be pretty but they knew the score and the chancellor read a report to decimate them. "Greetings."

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay was brought on for, well more than likely her ties to the Republic. There were so few that she had been in contact with since she was fired, most of them military. There had been no contact between her and members of the Senate. Though that was expected as she wasn't exactly friends with them. Her self supported missions to liberate slaves kept her from forming any sort of bonds with them.

She heard the call over the PA system and made her way out to the hanger from her small quarters, dressed in her usual upper class merchant attire, her satchel ever present over her shoulder. This was an odd group that she was with for the time being and she felt very much the outsider as she was the only one that hadn't killed, hadn't used the Darkside. She wasn't a Jedi either. Kay was just a class unto herself. It made finding her place in the Galaxy a constant struggle.

[member="Romeo Sin"] was the only one that she knew of the bunch and even then, she didn't know him very well. Kay kept her Force signature down to the size of a small tree nut when she approached the others in the hanger. She put on a brave face as she wasn't sure just how she would be received by either side of these alliance talks.

Caius Flavian

Faction Admin - The Galactic Republic
I had arrived to Kiribi in person to this emergency meeting.

My fears had come true. We had been cut off from the rest of the Republic. Militarily speaking the evacaution of most of the government to the fortress of Yutan was a despicable move leaving the rest of us exposed.

Republic force in the region though were few however the militia of all the systems who held sway toward the Republic would have to rise up to defend the borders of our now broken nation.

I made my to the meeting spot.

As I entered the room "Hello Suravi, I appreciate the initiative in calling for us to form this mutual defense treaty"

I took a seat and set my travel mug of tea down.

Alexander was late, so very very late and now running to get to the meeting itself before he missed too much. He was going to kill Fenn for making him meet with the long disappeared Echani for calling a meeting with him at such a time. What brought him running though was that this meeting would mean the protection of Eshan if it was handled correctly and he had to ensure that Eshan could be protected. He may not be a senator anymore but he was still the elected representative for the planet and that meant he would be charged with doing whatever it was that needed to be done.

What followed though was interesting. His hand pushing open the door to find the familiar faces of [member="Caius Flavian"] and [member="Lady Kay"], but also those faces he was very unfamiliar with like [member="Nikias"], [member="Alkor Centaris"] and [member="Romeo Sin"]. One thing sent off a number of red flags in his mind though as his hand immediately retreated into the sleeve while still looking on at the meeting with confusion.

'What are people this dark doing in this room... something isn't right.' He thought this to himself as he stared before shaking his head and looking at [member="Suravi Teigra"].

"Hope I'm not too late. My old man had urgent news for me and I had to take it. I see that we are greeted with people I regretfully have never met before, might I know the names of yourselves?" He looked at those whom he immediately distrusted. First a Pirate as a Supreme Chancellor and now dealings with a line of men that made him feel sick through the force. It was a good thing he was as untrained as he was, otherwise, his own connection might be more noticeable.

Alena stood amongst those already gathered in the conference room, having been dropped off by a CSAF gunship earlier in the day, with Ali Hadrix at her side. The woman stood behind her, her face still hidden by the Mandalorian helm she had refused to take off. Ali's position within CSAF was one of the organization's most tightly kept secrets. Alena herself, a blue-skinned Chiss, had declined to arrive armored or armed. As CSAF's Lord Commander and representative she found herself in a diplomatic situation that required a diplomatic appearance.
"How long until this starts?" Ali asked, sounding somewhat impatient, though her voice was distorted by the vocoder in her buy'ce. Alena frowned, "Have patience, it'll begin soon enough." Hadrix was a proud woman, and a cunning warrior, though she lacked a tactful edge. After the disaster at Roche thrust upon the Republic by the Mandalorian clans, Alena had been hesitant to even bring Ali with her, despite being the other half of CSAF's command. At her side was one of CSAF's other command staff, General Hat Ma'an, a Kel Dor male who had been with the organization since it's inception over two years ago.
"I sense a great amount of anticipation from some of the individuals here," Ma'an commented quietly as he gazed at the chamber's other occupants. "Any maleficence?" Alena asked, relying on the Kel Dor's Force Sensitivity. The man shook his head. "No, just...a great amount of curiosity...and need." Alena nodded. "I'm not surprised, considering the circumstances. Togoria was a great loss, and these worlds will be looking to retain their positions within the Republic."

Interesting. Romeo Sin was reaching out to me to call a truce. I couldn't be more happier. Part of me felt like he was submitting first, and thus was lesser than me. However, a different part of me felt as though he only did this to try and avoid a fight like we had before. And likely, both were possible. However, I didn't press the subject matter to him. I simply replied with one word. and left it at that.

"Agreed."

Meeting up with the others who we would be convening with, it seemed that people were everywhere. [member="Alkor Centaris"] was dressed more like a servant than an actual member of this congregation. Likely because we didn't need three assholes in the "talks" that would be taking place. Alkor was a rather blunt man. And so communication was not his strong suit. [member="Romeo Sin"] was along the same line. He thought very highly of himself. So much so it was borderline narcissism. I could agree that with myself. I did think highly of myself, and I felt I was rightly so. I had literally been through hell and back not just once, but twice. The first time in a fight against Akala, and the second time I was being led out by the spirit of my brother before he gifted me with his memories.

I felt as though I was Morna. The entirety of our memories had clashed so I could not really tell the difference between my own, and Morna's memories. It was difficult. And I felt as though Morna was myself. I even recall fighting one Sith lord in particular that I had never seen before. Either way, I found that as I continued to make my way towards the group, Everyone was meeting up to have these talks between a group of vagabonds, and Dark Jedi, and the Republic and their need for allies.

Seeing some of the people there, I had noticed the rather exquisite lass known as [member="Lady Kay"]. She was probably the only one in the group who was not considered a Dark Jedi. I still had no real idea why she was here, and I wanted to find out. Reserving that for a later date, I simply bowed my head to her in silence, as well as the others here. However, I spoke to the lady in question.

"I believe you may be the saving grace of our little band of misfits. You seem to carry extensive knowledge of diplomacy. Lets just hope that this all works out."

Kay bowed her head in return to [member="Nick Imura"] as he approached. She may not see eye to eye with the lot of them, but at least there was an air of respect towards her. It wasn't as though she was a threat to them anyways. Her talents lay in gaining allies and making Sapir tea. Those two skills alone helped her to make friends out of enemies.

Her brow raised at what Nick had said. There wasn't much that she knew of the man, outside of him and [member="Romeo Sin"] being at slight odds with eachother. Romeo was soon to be her new boss, as he had offered her the position of CEO of his companies. But with no other job opening for her, it would be silly for her not to take it. She just needed to do some research as to what the companies were.

Kay gave him a small smile and did her best to sound reassuring. "Saving grace? Oh I hope not. I'm about as nervous going into this as anyone. Even though I have helped out the Republic at times since I lost my seat, that doesn't mean that I should assume that I haven't lost everyone's favour."

Ayumi Pallopides

Heir to the Emperor, Former Senator of Denon
Ayumi was looking at the others when she finally really arrived in there taking stock of who was in all of this and who she knew.... which wasn't enough. Even as a senator she had elected to ensure Denon had what it needed and what the force enclave. She turned to look at [member="Lady Kay"] who was well one of the more noticeable ones she knew and [member="Suravi Teigra"] as she finally spoke. "An interesting group of people you have assembled here." SHe kept her eyes on a few of them clasping her hands together before standing at the ready for anything that might come up. The factory ships they had been working on were being used as needed to produce in excess for anyone who wanted in the neutral space to resist the enemies of the Republic.

She had still been studying her notes when she felt the familiar presence of Caius rising to her floor. She set down her datapad and rose to meet him at his seat. Her sensitive nose picked up on the earthy aroma of his tea as she came near. The smell elicited latent cravings for a good cup of Sapir tea (spiked with a liberal helping of sparkbee honey). Perhaps they could share a cup after the proceedings.

"Well, moving isn't quite in the cards for me." she quipped. "Thank you for coming."

She gave her friend a light squeeze on the shoulder as she looked over at the entrance to see more people trickling in. There was Sannes, Senator of Eshan. She was glad she could count on his support, as inclusion of Eshan was crucial to her plans. Senator Pallopides was also in attendance. Something of a welcome surprise, as Denon was now a long ways away from Kiribi. It was good to know that they hadn't been abandoned by the Republic.

"Hello Sannes, Pallopides, thank you both for coming as well. The meeting hasn't started yet. I'm still giving time for people to make it here. Help yourselves to refreshments." There were some carts laid out out right inside next to the entrance, topped with an assortment of beverages and appetizers.

In addition to her Republic peers, there was representatives from the CSAF, their leader accompanied by a Mandalorian bodyguard in a full kit. Having met once before, she recognized the aura of the woman who followed Reckar as she gave her attention. She flashed a knowing smile at the bodyguard, though she would keep the discovery to herself. Not everyone was as pragmatic as she.

"Commander Reckar," she acknowledged with a small bow of respect.

"Suravi, the Brotherhood is on their way," Arisa announced.

"Good, thank you." Arisa nodded and returned to the door to resume inspections.

With the flight of the of the Jedi to the Sanctum and Galactic Alliance, she welcomed the organization of powerful users to finally give the Republic some paranormal parity against the One Sith, top heavy with Sith Lords. Once they had all arrived, she would probably go ahead and begin.

Gaisa was late to the party. The newly appointed Senator for Garqi had only just been learning the ropes of the Republic when a strategic loss at Togoria effectively put a blockade between the Republic power base and the member worlds who still remained loyal to the Republic. Things changed so quickly on the political scene it was enough to give a person whiplash. A rather gentle looking woman at the senate offices had given Gaisa instructions to head to this meeting and far be it from Gaisa to miss out on something to impact herself.

Gaisa was still new enough to the Republic and the Senate that she was unfamiliar with many of the people in attendance as she entered the room. There were faces she recognized, but no one she had been introduced to yet. Nothing looked to have officially started so Gaisa wandered over to a table of refreshments, choosing a cup of caf.

She sniffed at the cup, trying to see if she could identify the roaster or where the beans were from. Some could place the caf by the planet it came from simply by aroma, and her daughter could do it by taste. To Gaisa, it was just a cup of caf, but her family and Garqi's fortunes were tied up in it.

She stepped to where [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Nick Imura"] were speaking and politely waited for a lull in conversation before she interrupted them.

"Quite an interesting group of people gathered today. I hope we can come to accords for the sake of our peoples." There was an easy smile on her features.

"Please excuse my interruption. I saw you and couldn't resist an introduction. I'm Gaisa Theron, Representative of Garqi."

After the woman, [member="Lady Kay"] had spoke about not being the saving grace of this group, I smiled a little and felt like I should say some more about how she was, and would thank her for coming when another woman came up and apologize for interrupting. I bowed my head to her lightly letting her know that I was fine with it. In politics you had to try and be somewhat reasonable. People will be arguing with you. People will be fighting with words against you. And most of all, people will interrupt you. I guess I was just preparing myself for what was to come.

Adjusting my robes that I wore, I allowed the woman to speak. Hearing her out that she was a representative from Garqi. Honestly, never heard of the place. This [member="Gaisa Theron"] seemed rather intelligent and was likely a diplomat who was new to the politics at a galactic level. Though, I couldn't really judge her all that much. I was older than most of these people here and the closest to politics I had gotten into was talking to my master, and talking to people in general. Sure, I have lead battles, and lead troops into battle, but that changes every moment.

"Our little group is quite interesting to say in the least. I just wished we could have gotten more people that were suited for this kind of diplomacy. Like I was just talking to Lady Kay, I am not suited for diplomacy or politics. But with her, and with the additon of you, I hope that we will be able to make something out of this."

I hated biting my tongue. All I wanted to say was that I didn't like most of the people here and wanted to kill one of them in particular. However, should this become more fruitful than first imagined, I would have to buy the ladies a drink of some kind. While the Lady Kay was clearly not a drinker, I had no clue about this other woman. Well, lets see how well this goes first.

"I believe we are passed due to meet with these people of the Republic. Shall we be going?"

Aedan nods his head as he getures for the others to follow him making his way towards where the meeting would take place his violet eyes gleaming as he walked. While most people attempted to dress fancier Aedan had decided not to instead he simply wore his normal outfit of Black pants and vest with elbow length leather bracers going up both arms. Hanging from his waist were his ever familiar blaster pistols and lightsabers his violet hair hanging haphazardly as he walked calmly forward.

Alkor was unsuited for politics. People who lived their life in senates and on thrones had a public face and a private one, and they were good at changing masks when the mood shifted. Honeyed words and grandiose promises held no allure for the Jen'jidai. He preferred to speak his mind and failing that, resolve things with his lightsaber. The others told him that he needed to come forward as a gesture of good faith, to put his face out in the open as an ally to them. While he would have preferred to remain behind, he would not be shown up by other men just as reticent to deal with the Republic.

It was improbable that anyone here would recall his face, since he kept his hands out of coreward affairs. Not since the incident in Coronet city, over ten years prior. If there were anyone who remembered him, they would most likely be uncomfortable with the recognition. CorSec maintained active files on dangerous criminals, and someone who managed to have exile levied on them by the planetary government. Alkor Centaris had been no more than fifteen years old when he earned the title "Demon of Corellia," and the imagery of wholesale slaughter that accompanied that case was not only graphic, but sickening.

He had grown much since his younger days. Alkor learned control over his emotions, particularly the hate he had felt for the people of Corellia over the entire situation. He had grown apathetic toward the plight of the galaxy, and more interested in living his life beyond the paltry constraints of "civilized society." The threat of the Sith gave that line of thought pause. That brought him into this group of Dark Jedi. That brought them so close to the core, and into Republic space. If not for a purpose, this meeting would probably never take place.

Alkor knew that the others would probably be just as on edge.

He willed a cool aura around himself and the other Jen'jidai, wreathing them in an eerie stillness that would bring them calm. If the Jedi present could sense it, they would feel a tenuous calm as well, but its nature would disturb them. It would be unclear why, of course, unless they asked Alkor about it.

Kay looked to [member="Gaisa Theron"] as she had arrived and bowed her head. "Pleasure to meet you. I am Kay, former Senator to Commenor. This may be a strange gathering, but I have high hopes for it. As I'm sure that everyone here does."

She didn't grab anything to eat or drink. Instead she just clutched the strap of her satchel, a habit that she formed long ago. Her satchel used to belong to her late husband and having it there gave her comfort. She thought less and less of him these days, now that it had been over ten years since his sacrifice. Perhaps she was moving on, so busy with many other things and lives to save.

Kay approached the members of the Republic and bowed her head. Some she knew, while others she had never seen before. "Thank you for agreeing to meet with the Brotherhood. Although many here have different ways of reaching their goals, their objective is still the same. The Sith are a common enemy and one with which the Republic could use some help in defeating. The Brotherhood wishes to extend a hand and help in the struggle where it is needed."
