SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Lightweight: For the amount of protection that Prison Trooper Armor provides, it is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time
  • Life support: In order to survive the toxic atmosphere of Bumos, Prison Trooper Armor comes equipped with a number of advanced life support systems, such as a Rebreather Pack, Extended Filters, an Atmosphere Processor and an Environmental Stabilizer System
  • Low production costs: The use of already available construction material and off the shelf components helps to keep the production costs of Prison Trooper Armor love
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited production run: Prison Trooper Armor was originally only intended to equip the prison guards working at the Dome City Prison Complex, limiting the overall amount of available armor sets
  • Vulnerable: Though it is highly protective in most areas, Prison Trooper Armor is especially vulnerable to acid and sonic based attacks
  • Precious components: Should the life support systems found in Prison Trooper Armor malfunction or become damaged, its user has no easy way to access and repair said components while in the field
DESCRIPTION

During the construction of the Dome City prison complex on Bumos, the Imperial Confederation provided Mahporeem with large amounts of construction material, including copious amounts of both Ersteel SLCA and Tetra-Polycarbonite Lamellar Compound. Upon the completion of this construction project, Mahporeem found itself in possession of a large amount of leftover material. Rather than discard this material or return it back to the Imperial Confederation, it was instead decided that the leftover material would be used in the construction of a new type of armor.

This would lead to the construction of Prison Trooper Armor, also known as Bumos-pattern Junktrooper Armor, a type of armor that would equip the prison guards of Dome City. Compared to Mahporeem-pattern Junktrooper Armor, Prison Trooper Armor is both lighter and more protective. Besides being made out of already existing construction material, Prison Trooper Armor also utilizes a number of off the shelf components in the construction of its helmet mounted breath masks, in order to keep total costs down.

When it was originally manufactured, Prison Trooper Armor was made in just enough numbers to outfit all of the prison guards working in Dome City, and the original production used up all the leftover construction material from the project. That being said, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant is reconsidering starting production of Prison Trooper Armor to equip the next generation of Spacetroopers, especially since the N&Z Umbrella Corporation has now established a number of long term contracts with Mahporeem.
