ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Mobility: Port Avalon is not tethered to a single star system. It can relocate via tethered hyperspace tugs, making it incredibly hard to track or trap. This gives it strategic freedom to avoid blockades, bounty hunters, or sector wars.
  • Defensible Design: The docking bay acts as a kill funnel where any approaching ships are forced through a narrow access corridor lined with various defense systems. Its thick, natural asteroid armor makes direct bombardment inefficient.
WEAKNESSES
  • Hyperspace Dependency: Port Avalon cannot jump on its own it requires pre-positioned hyperspace tugs. If the tugs are destroyed, sabotaged, or blockaded, Avalon becomes a sitting target.
  • Internal Crime & Friction: With no central authority besides Avalon himself, turf wars, theft, and vendettas occur regularly inside the port.
  • Engine Vulnerability: The sublight drives are embedded deep in the equatorial crust, but if breached or overheated, the station’s ability to escape or reposition is crippled. Engine cooling relies on delicate, patched-together Separatist-era mining tech.
DESCRIPTION
To approach Port Avalon is to approach a myth.

The haven is nestled within the fractured remains of a once-industrial moon, its crust cracked and honeycombed by old mining shafts and atmospheric ruptures. From orbit, the site looks like a bleeding scar across a blackened stone glowing faintly from beneath with soft reds and golds, like embers under ash.

As your ship descends, you pass through a narrow breach in the moon’s upper shell, barely wide enough for a freighter’s wingspan. Turrets track you from rusted alcoves, and flickering spotlights sweep every hull that dares enter unannounced. The breach opens into a massive artificial cavern, a hollowed-out mining crater turned starport.

Inside, Port Avalon pulses with neon life. Catwalks and stacked platforms hang like scaffolding across the rock walls. Hundreds of ships are docked at mismatched angles, YT freighters, Mandalorian patrol craft, custom Zeltron cruisers with velvet-lined cockpits. Heat vents rise from slag pits below, casting plumes of steam and shimmering haze across everything.

At the center lies The Reachwalk, a long, central thoroughfare built on scrap durasteel and reinforced with ship plating. It’s lined with cantinas, repair bays, spice dens, and black market bazaars glowing with violet signage. The air smells of ionized exhaust, roasted meats, and perfume laced with something just a little illegal.

Above it all, suspended by cables and half-levitation tech, floats Avalon’s Court, a semi-transparent disc of glass and chrome, where the captain himself holds court. It's half pleasure lounge, half control center, and rumor says he can see everything from up there… and silence anyone with a single gesture.

Port Avalon is loud, alive, and lawless, but it runs on respect.

You keep your blaster low, your eyes sharp, and your credits ready.

Because here? You're not safe. You're free.
