DEEP ROADS
An ancient series of tunnels and roads carved beneath the surface, lit through the molten rivers that flowed around them. Many of these ancient tunnels remain intact, and still are traveled by many of the native Phyrovidians. They were created in an ancient time, during the first age of Monarchs that united the squabbling tribes after an ancient catastrophe.
Their structure and desire were to ensure that they would last for thousands of years after they were first built. While few tunnels have ever been lost, reclaimed by the world, or forgotten, those that remain are well kept. Thus the countless cities, fotresses and outposts that are connected by the Deep Roads remain united.

MITHERIA'S FORGE
Among all things the Phyrovidians pride themselves upon that which they craft from the molten rivers, oceans and seas around them. The most famous Phyrovidian was known as Mitheria, named after an ancient goddess that has since reemerged. The massive industrial complex takes in the molten rivers, and from them it extracts the precious metals and minerals that they hold. Multiple tunnels bore into ancient mountain sides and long since dead volcanoes, pulling out the hidden gems that have been locked in darkness.
From these the Forge churns out weapons of war, precious metal ingots and ornate jewelry covered in precious stones.

ASURHAL
The largest city upon the world of Phyros, it was the site of the first ancient Phyrovidian Kingdom that rose. Named after its first king, Asurhal is the center of all trade and the focal point of the entire world. Now with the Raulynate it has also become the center of all religion, and holds a strong following among the native Phyrovidians whom are turning back to the old ways that had once been forgotten.
Culture:
An ancient world with countless stories, tales and legends that have long since been lost with few ever reclaimed. Much of their earlier culture (Circa 60,000 BBY) was focused upon the ideal of a time when the world would end, and the ancient Phyrovidians focused upon creating great works that would last long after their eventual demise. Early governments were thus a unification of Tribal Democracies working together to create larger and greater works of art, structures and monuments to their people's glory to leave a mark on their world for others to find. In this time the world was covered in lush forests, plains, rivers and wetlands, which were the focus of much of their art work.
Roughly 30,000 BBY, about 5,000 years before the founding of the Old Republic, the ancient Phyrovidians saw their ancient religious beliefs venerated as their world was torn apart in a sudden cataclysm (most likely a Meteor storm or otherwise mass extinction event, as many records from that period have been lost in the ensuring years), leaving the world scared. Those few Phyrovidians that survived the cataclysm turned upon each other, and in the following years their numbers began to dwindle from infighting.
Around 25,000 BBY, an ancient Phyrovidian by the name of Asurhal managed to gather the remaining Phyrovidians together, crushing any whom opposed him with a highly regulated force, and imposed an Monarchical regime in order to ensure the survival of the species. The following years of his reign, and the reigns of his progeny saw a rapid rise in the population as well as a rapid growth in technology.
Religious believes also dropped as many of the Phyrovidians focused upon survival, rather than the veneration of their deities, or their ancestors. Many of those surviving monuments were broken down for resources for shelter from the heat, or otherwise to be processed into the needed food stuffs. During these hard times, technology rapidly grew to ensure that the Phyrovidians could access the resources in their system, including making it to the moons that orbited the world (whose own atmosphere was changed due in part to the cataclysm, thus through sheer luck, terraforming them).
With the leap in technology though there was also a weapon in arms and armor production as the Phyrovidians spread out from their world. Many of their ships contained basic FTL drives and sleeper technology that allowed their vessels to invade neighboring systems. For nearly twenty thousand years the Phyrovidians over saw a large Kingdom that held sway over multiple systems.
During the Gulag Plague, the Kingdom began to shrink and become cripple. While its remote location prevented the plague from ever truly gaining a foothold in the Phyrovidian Kingdom, the lack of interstellar trade partners or information, new technologies and other such needed resources brought the Kingdom to its knees. The culture in this time plateaued, with arts, military, and many of its expansions slowing down to a crawl or otherwise slowly degrading. Though religious beliefs slowly began to make a resurgence.
With the Galaxy at large recovering from the Gulag Plague, the Phyrovidians began to also recover as their luck turned around. In more recent times the arrival of the Raulynate to the system has fanned the flames of religious fervor as the Phyrovidians adopt the Mythria Maiden and Ash Warrior to their own culture and beliefs. With many of the species believing that it was the Mythria Maiden whom originally warned the ancient Phyrovidians of a coming cataclysm that would burn their world so it could be remained anew.
The Phyrovidians have thus thrown themselves into their forges with a new life breathed into them as they begin to churn out arms, armor and a multitude of precious ores, mineral ingots and gems. Their new art being those in the form of their industrial capacity and their manufactured goods, rather than monuments.
Technological Development:
- Information - Sophisticated devices of communication and dataprocessing characterized civilizations of the information age. Such cultures had a global community, marked by quick dispersal of information to all inhabited planetary areas. Early droids and energy weapons often appeared, and repulsorlift was close to being discovered. Information-age worlds did not know the secrets of hyperspace, but in-system space travel was relatively common sight. (e.g. Kubindi, the Kubaz homeworld)
- Developmental Space - With the arrival of the Raulynate, the native Phyrovidians have since begun to develop newer technologies previously unknown to their species.
History:
Phyros was settled by a species that would later become known as the Ancient Phyrovidians. Little is known about this species as much of their history was either lost during the cataclysm, or those precursor artifacts they left behind were later destroyed by the surviving Phyrovidians whom were more focused on living than their past or the culture they came from. What is known from what little remains there are, is that the ancient Phyrovidians arrived on the world roughly 30,000 years before the founding of the Old Republic, in what was likely ancient sleeper vessels similar to those sent out from the Core Worlds.
The world had what many could consider a golden age in which the ancient Phryovidians hit their peak in terms of culture, though the world was shortly shaken by a terrible cataclysm. This massive near extinction event turned the world from a once lush world into a volcanic hell that only a small handful of Phyrovidians were able to survive. It was during the following years that the Phyrovidians hit a second growth in terms of technology and their own capabilities.
Roughly five-thousand years after the founding of the Old Republic, while under the rule of the descendants of Asurhal, the world came into its second golden age when it spread its own Kingdom across neighboring systems (one which could have likely rivaled Xim's own Empire). This Empire stood for countless years, missing out on many events that tore across the galaxy such as the Old Sith Wars, the Clone Wars and even the Yuuzhan Vong invasion due in part to its isolated location at the edge of the Outer Rim Territories.
Much of the world seemed otherwise unfazed during the Netherworld Event. While resources were already at a low, the sudden disappearance of tens of thousands of beings meant a sudden surplus of resources for those that remained. Many explained it off as those careless enough or forgetful, in that they simply fell into a lava flow, or were otherwise careless when it came to their work and brought about their own demise.
During much of its life, it was even used as a major trade port and jumping off point for those attempting to push into the Unknown Regions and those few vessels returning from those parts unknown. Now it serves as the home base of the Raulynate.

Intent:
Phyros is intended to serve as the de facto Capital of the Raulynate faction. While it is designed to act as a Semi-Nomadic Magocratic Autocracy, the world of Phyros would serve as its physical capital world. Likewise its design is based on the continuing theme of the Raulynate's desire to turn the Galaxy's worlds into ash in order to rebuild them, through a cleansing of Fire.
While there are multiple other volcanic worlds that could just as easily be said to fit the bill, the spirit would otherwise be lacking. Phyros is meant to be the "Promised Land" to the Raulynate and those followers of the Order of the Everflame.
The world is also intended to further the Raulynate, and further cement the faction with the site by providing them with a physical home base to work from (while retaining the mobile fleet of vessels due to the faction being based upon the Historical Mongolian Empire, a Semi-Nomadic Empire, in which the Horde continuously moved while leaving local administration to already established cities and governments they had conquered). In similar fashion, Phyros is to serve as the central focal point of their otherwise decentralized government.
