TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Probots can be remote controlled but are most commonly operated by an integrated droid brain; they are not typically programmed for much independent development in the personality department, but are reasonably adaptive elsewhere, e.g., tactically.
  • Probots can hold and charge two to six Eyebots for reconnaissance purposes.
STRENGTHS
  • Eye in the Sky: Probots are equipped with sophisticated sensors, typically tailored for their intended purpose, and can even hold Eyebots.
  • Flexible Approach: Probots can be equipped and programmed for everything from urban law enforcement to frontier world expeditions.
WEAKNESSES
  • Space Wizardry: Probots have no real protection from finger-waggling magicians, weightless plasma swords, and similar obscurities.
  • Weak Points: Probots have more exploitable weak points than stockier ground-based droids, e.g., engines and couplings.
DESCRIPTION
Complementing the smaller Eyebot and largely replacing the C1 Security Drone in protecting Globex-affiliated assets and infrastructure, PEX1-S is a versatile template readily customisable by way of General Manufacturing Constructs and similar technology. As an integral part of Globex's survey and security operations, these drones are frequently deployed to chart planets and eliminate hostiles, tasks they approach with equal fervour.

Considered an uncontroversial addition to military or expeditionary forces, their use in law enforcement has proven to be more contentious; there are certainly many who are uncomfortable around unfeeling hunks of metal, though like Synthmarines their approach is nothing if not scrupulous.
