Cassandra Paige
Cruella DeVille
The Galaxy was full of arms manufacturers, corporations that created ships of doom, mercenary outfits that peddled in death, but it had missed one thing: a supplier of love and friendship. People hadn’t realized it, until GenPals appeared out of seemingly nowhere. It offered loveable pets, cute critters and helpful aides to those that needed it most.
Today it continued that trend of surprise.
Over the world of D’ian drifted its newest brainchild: the GenPals Conference Station.
A large, spacious and luxurious space station that promised to provide an experience like no other. For its grand opening it offered steep discounts and even special invites for every GenPal owner and affiliate to partake in everything it had to offer.
Tours of the Habitat ring had already started, with new ones starting every half hour. Restaurants, shops and clubs on every level were open for the durations of the event, with discounts to those visiting with their GenPals. Wandering trainers offered impromptu exhibitions along with tips and tricks, while people flocked to the Lab Showcase to learn more about the GenPals process and even custom create their own GenPals. From comfortable spas to hologram fun rooms where fans could experience almost any GenPal scenario they could dream of, from costumed GenPals characters to greet and interact with the younger crowd to the great Aquarium running through the entire station, there was something for everyone.
GenPals owners (or new purchasers) were invited to take part in the GenPals exhibition and contest taking place in the main rotunda. Hundreds of owners and their companions gathered, showing off the tricks they had worked on or just how stately and well groomed their GenPal was. Prizes would be awarded later, while door prizes would be randomly awarded throughout the event.
People were flowing in by the droves, flying in by private ships or GenPal-sponsored transportation, depending on their budget. Cassandra couldn’t be more pleased- they had sold out their tickets for the first day within the first hour after the announcement, and already reservations for extended stays were being made.
Cassandra stood on the balcony, overlooking the main entrance atrium from the docking bays. Her forearms rested on the railing, noting as the greeters did their job, directing guests to this location or that event that was about to start, entering their information as entrance for the various prizes that would be given out over the course of the day. The pair of Didact security guards that were her shadow these days stayed a respectful distance away, and, for the moment at least, Cass was alone with her thoughts as the bustle of the event (still so early) shifted beneath her.
