DESCRIPTION
The Parjai-class was one of the first vessels produced by the reconstituted MandalMotors after Mandalore was freed by the Empire. Without materials of their own and little funding, the vessels were purchased in bulk as surplus from defectors of Kuat on the black market originally as Katana-Class heavy cruisers. In the Mandalorian shipbreaking yards they deconstructed and cobbled together vessels that fit in the light-cruiser class according to contemporary naval doctrine but was alternatively called a Star Galleon by old Mandalorian conventions. Shorter than their Kuati cousins but taller and slimmer, they cut an odd silhouette in combat. The additional weapons systems to 100 less meters of ship increased the vessel's power consumption exponentially, making it a rather slow starship. Despite its ponderous gaite through the stars though it packed a heavy punch with its turbolasers, laser cannons, concussion missile tubes, and other weapon systems. It boasted less armor and maneuverability, and speed when compared to its cousin but could carry with it several squadrons of fighters, increasing both its offensive and defensive capabilities in one on one engagements.

The vessel quickly became standardized and became the mainstay vessel in the Imperial Mandalorian fleet when they weren't granted larger vessels such as Star Destroyers or the one of the new Mandalorian Dreadnoughts.
