The Jedi Order is preparing to move to focus elsewhere in the Galaxy.
They have reached out to the Commenor Systems Alliance in Order to secure and protect that which they leave behind.

Orbit of Deneba

He and his wife were on the move, the great Battlecruiser for which had come to visit Deneba drifting silently within the orbit of the desert world. As King of Commenor, Veiere was visiting the world under Political delegation, yet his past experience with Deneba and the Jedi Order as a whole stood to be a very personal and long drawn out endeavor of his.

Awaiting them down there, ready to receive them within the Jedi Enclave, the newly appointed Jedi Council had reached out to the Commenor Systems Alliance in order to discuss their plans for the future. It was an interesting experience to behold, Veiere had to admit to himself. The two contradicting pathways of his life coming to meet somewhere in the middle that he might finally be forced to make a decision between one or the other.

[member="Romi Jade"], his former Apprentice and now Jedi GrandMaster stood at the head of the Enclave, she of whom he had not seen in some time since his need to return to Commenor. He wondered if she understood his decisions in the end, though should she see the Queen, [member="Lady Kay"], she might soon realize the future of his family requiring his time now more than ever.

There were of course, two other worlds within the sector for which the Systems Alliance had informed and reached out to in order to spread their influence in the hope that they might accept the governments offer of sanctuary under their banners. Chokan and Beris were seemingly intimidating worlds that as of the moment stood bordering on the edge of Alliance Space with the Galactic Empire slowly treading closer. They had accepted the premise of a delegation from the CSA, as well as opened up their systems in temporary trade and commerce for the time until political relations could be ironed out officially.

Whistling through the battlecruiser was none other than the ever delightfully punny Minister of Justice himself, his lightsabers and absurd firepower pistol collection strapped to his hips, chest, legs, well anywhere it could fit really. Furthermore, he chose to wear Mandalore the Utlimate's armor yet again, having developed a sense of reliability on it despite it being antithetical to how he would, in ideal situations, actually ever fight anyone. Yet despite this, the image of him walking down the halls to meet [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Veiere Arenais"] and find transport down to the ground like this was surprisingly growing commonplace. For a peaceful government, it seemed they had at least one ready for war at a moment's notice.

Perhaps a voice of reason, then.

Regardless, he looked every part warrior and minister as he approached the hangar, stopping at the transport and turning around, curious if his two employers were arriving yet, or had already arrived ahead of him.

The King of Ergonomic Assessments
Objective: Perform ergonomic assessments
Location: En route to Chokan

"The one criticism these people made of me on Ziost was that I had no clue as to how that business operated, even though by now ergonomic assessments outstripped news for revenue"

"What did you do to address those criticisms from Ziost?" Tiffany asked Klesta.

"I even accepted to learn what I could about the ergonomic assessments' SOPs but, until I actually do some, Ziost won't be happy"

"Speaking of ergonomic assessments, the Chokan Spaceport Authority asked us to do a bulk order of ergonomic assessments"

So, in the mind of those people on Ziost, he could be replaced by someone who could actually conduct ergonomic assessments in a pinch, even though he knew that he could peddle and run an entire business based on those assessments without actually having done even one assessment. But for the purposes of proving it to Ziost, he was to get the assessment filmed, and Tiffany, too, would be assessing a nearby workstation, alongside the team he brought in to get the assessments done. As he is about to land his private Elite Neimoidian Yacht on the premises of the spaceport, he was inquiring as to the billing required for the landing rights, and also where are the authority's offices so that he could actually get the assessments started. He had to be reminded to check for off-axis chairs, misaligned equipment, lighting intensity, and also take measurements of the work stations' regular occupants before he could actually get to do any of this, since what's appropriate for someone may not be so appropriate for someone else that has vastly different measurements.

"Master Jade..."

"Oren" a simple nod would do, "Welcome to Deneba." The two parties would merge as Romi and the leaders of the Freeholders would walk down an opposing corridor; the two have been working together on fighting the food shortage in the neighboring sector. After a deadly encounter the Redu Freeholders have been focusing more on humanitarian efforts. Romi hoped more would come of it...perhaps it would be officially sanctioned...

"Fairly large group of people gathered here today..." He spoke, and she would respond with a smirk before shying away...

"That could be because the King and Queen are coming..." She'd speak in such a tone that brushed it off, though her associate would react differently.

"The King and Queen?" Puzzled. "Of Commenor?" He questioned.

"Mhm." A nod; short. A smile would follow as their bodies would soon be engulfed in light, with only their backs being shrouded in shadow; This was courtesy of the desert sun and shade the Enclave provided. "What I'm hoping..." she'd stop just at the top of the steps before turning and facing her acquaintance. "Is that we'll be able to take the work we've been doing and expand on it. That the order may undertake this initiative to lend humanitarian aid more actively in the future."

Though both characters would have their attention drawn elsewhere assuming that the ships to now break atmosphere were related to the Systems Alliance. She felt that bond begin to manifest again...seemingly never left. Her spirit would recognize the one she'd been under her entire life.

For a moment the shuttle rocked back and forth as it slipped through the atmosphere of the world. The woman stood, deciding to watch the descent rather than sit with her back to the window as she usually did. Her golden hues fell upon the world, smirking slightly as she let out a soft sigh. There didn't seem to be much out of the ordinary, though she was here for a different reason.
Her hand lightly touched the shoulder of the pilot, a simple nod being given before the shuttle slipped away from its original course. She didn't have a need to see the new space port, no, she was here for the old one. A soft smirk crossed her lips as her golden hues fell upon the overgrown ruin, her arm slipping up silently as she pointed out the structure.
"Take a quick pass then find us a place to land. Watch out for..."
Before she could finish her sentence the ship rocked, then quickly plunged down towards the ground. She barely saw the second flash from the turbolaser as it tore through the hull of the shuttle. Taking a firm grip on the bulkhead, she looked over her shoulder just in time to see the left portion of the passenger compartment sheer away. Her attention return forward just in the moment as the vessel came down hard, throwing her into the back of the compartment.
Her head slammed against the rear wall, her body going limp as she lay there, a heavy groan escaping her lips as she attempted to regain focus. Her vision blurry and hazy as she sat up slightly, her hand quickly shooting to her side. Looking down she hissed, her golden hues slowly shifting to a vibrant blue hue as her left hand slowly moved over the twisted metal support beam that rest in her side.

Kay approached her husband, reaching for his hand once she got to his side and interlocking their fingers. She was a bit apprehensive about this journey, not quite sure about how smooth it would go. As always, she had felt guilty about [member="Veiere Arenais"] stepping away from the Jedi Order to be with her. He was a Jedi and always would be. The Force guided his path and in some ways, it guided her too. It led her to him and kept intertwining their very different paths. It wasn't just a Force Bond that they shared. There was more to it than that. Yet the sacrifices that he had made to forego his distaste for politics and be by her side was too much, in her opinion. Yet they had their Estate to run away to, and soon they'd be living there full time for a while, after their children were born and in their early stages of life.

Her head rested against his shoulder. "Nearly there, my dear. It's been a while since I've set foot on Deneba. And I have to admit that I'm a little nervous." Veiere had let her know of his apprentice [member="Romi Jade"] , a woman that has now taken charge of the Order there. She had never met her before, more than likely as Kay was always busy. But hopefully the meeting would be a good one.

Objective: Observe peaceful acquisition, Trade goods, Make a profit, Celebrate with a party

The space above Deneba, Chokan and Beris rippled as several cargo ships exited from hyperspace in their vicinity, each vessel prudly bore the markings of Red Ravens on their side as they made preparations to land. All of them were pure merchantile craft that had been retasked after Daxton had received permission for them to proceed.

Their cargo holds were filled with various trade goods from the Outer Rim, specifically alcoholic beverages of all sorts, fireworks, commemorative memorabilia, and other assorted trade goods.

After all, a good annexation, not that most folks realized, was a big factor to help the flow of commerce. It was Daxton’s intention to corner the Outer Rim market with local goods when word that this system had changed hands. Nothing like prospective commerce speculation while the market was in flux.

It didn't take them long to come to a drift outside of Deneba's orbit. The Main Battlecruiser of their fleet slowing to take it's position while Veiere Arenais, [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Darlyn Excron"] would all transition to the KingsGuard and Veiere's private vessel, Captain Terrac ready to lead them down onto Deneba in a much more comfortable and far more suitable vessel for the casual nature of this meeting.

Though not to distract from the importance of this visit, Veiere was intimately aware of and comfortable with the layout of the Jedi Enclave and given his former position for which [member="Romi Jade"] now had taken up, it'd be hard to not want to take the lead during such conversations.

"How long has it been Kay?" He asked, using her name while in the presence of their peer. Darlyn of whom stood as their minister of Justice and hopefully not to be a deterrance during their envoy with so many steadfast followers of the lightside of the Force.

The small talk between the group would be nothing short of exactly that as they ventured down to break through the orbit and move into the atmosphere of the world itself, Deneba a desert planet with a rather temperate climate carried a good deal of heat to the exterior of the vessel yet nothing so much as to worry their pilot. He'd been on this run so many times now, he could recount the steps off the top of his head. Signalling the Enclave on their approach, the vessel cut main power to the thrusters and triggered the repulsorlift burners as it slowed rapidly in it's guided fall to the landing pad, carrying them swiftly yet safely to the floor.

"Here we are then..." Veiere said as he rose to his feet and moved to trigger the landing ramps descent, "Let's try to behave ourselves, shall we" he glanced at Darlyn with a smirk in jest before gesturing to Kay to take the lead out into the open and warm air that the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order would be awaiting them.

"Welcome to Chokan, I trust that you will be able to perform ergonomic assessments in bulk order, as we requested?" the official told Klesta as soon as the ship lands.

"How big is that bulk order? I swear on Ziost's holy sites that I will actually be doing some ergonomic assessments!"

"About 150 work stations"

Klesta was handed the manifest of work stations included in the bulk order placed by the Chokan Spaceport Authority, in whose office the administrative assistant was leading the whole team of ergonomic assessors he brought in tow. Including but not limited to, Tiffany, for whom it was also a work in progress to get her up to speed as far as doing those ergonomic assessments is concerned. In addition, work stations flagged for priority assessments are workstations whose regular occupants were recently victims of work accidents or took sick leave. He readily understood why they were flagged as such, but where they were, was a mystery to Klesta given that he never set foot in the location before. But with a closer look at the administrative offices that featured rather open spaces, he realized he will have his team inspect the entire manifest of administrative offices. Meanwhile he was going to ready his mental checklist of things to do in an ergonomic assessment.

"Oh don't worry so much Veiere. It's just me, a thoroughly darkside entrenched master of the force stepping foot in a jedi enclave. Whatever could you be worried about happening?" He laughed rather loudly, before making his way to the ramp, holding up a hand. Habitually, he insisted on being the first in the open, especially considering his company. His heavy steps down the ramp, looking around as he unclipped his lightsaber, holding it loosely as he looked around. The last thing he wanted was anyone to get the wrong idea, and without a proper 'bodyguard' around the job fell to him. Not that he wasn't used to it, he spent more time watching Kay's back than running the justice system. So why not settle into old habits?

After giving the area a quick once over, he nodded a bit and stepped off to the side, folding his hands behind his heavily armored back. He had his usual, overly cheerful smile on his lips as he waited for [member="Veiere Arenais"] and [member="Lady Kay"] to step off. He didn't know who [member="Romi Jade"] was after all, and he'd have to wait for the introduction. Hopefully they would be more, open to politeness than some groups he'd met. He was well and far out of his comfort zone, so he was going to be needing their.. well less dark appearances to keep everyone calm.

"But people and ships don't simply vanish," said Gir, crossing his arms, "something happens to them."

Gir stared at the holo while the rest of the Directorate bridge crew continued to analyze sensor readings and communications traffic. What was supposed to be a relatively simple matter of meeting and escorting a diplomatic vessel from Beris had turned into a last minute search and rescue mission. The last known contact with the Azure Moon had been two hours ago, during which the Berisian ambassador had told his own superiors that they were nearing the rendezvous point. Gir had waited for them there, but they had never shown up. Gir sighed as he retraced the ship's route to the rendezvous point. It seemed like a fairly short commute, with the rendezvous point occurring just outside of sovereign Beris space. A young, thin man cleared his throat.

"Admiral sir, I have attempted to get clearance to enter Berisian space. They are refusing us entrance."

"Is it because we are a warship?" asked Gir, "see if they will allow us to send in our shuttles to help with the search efforts."

Gir guessed that the original reason the rendezvous point had been situated outside of their space had been to prevent a foreign warship from entering their home territory. He didn't entirely blame them, especially given the massive amounts of destruction even the smallest warship could wreck on a people in a matter of minutes. Especially since they had never met in person before. Yet he didn't particularly like his mission being stonewalled by diplomatic protocols or personal paranoias either.

"You think they'll actually take it?" questioned a soft feminine voice.

Gir turned to face the ship's captain, a middle-aged brunette from Hast. Their eyes briefly met, exchanging all of the information with but a glance. Apparently we have known each other for long enough...Gir had helped groomed Captain Beckwith at the very start of the Directorate. She had once been a merchant ship captain, but she seemed to have little difficulty adjusting to the private military life. He shook his head to confirm their mutual thought.

"Have you ever been to Beris?"

"No...have you?"

Gir shook his head, "No, but I am wishing that I had right about now..."

"I haven't been to Deneba since I worked for the Republic." That had indeed been a long time.

Fortunately she knew enough about the world to dress for the climate; fabric draped around her loosely and comfortably, enough to hide her fair skin from the sun, yet be able to catch the breezes to help keep her cool.

Kay smirked at [member="Veiere Arenais"] as he had told [member="Darlyn Excron"] to behave himself. Darlyn had a point, being a Darksider about to set foot in an enclave that was built and looked after by the Lightside practicioners wasn't exactly going to be looked upon in a good way. But she trusted her Minister of Justice with her life and vice versa. Despite his sometimes questionable methods, he has never done her wrong. Nor would he betray her. He had proven his loyalty to herself and her family long ago.

It seemed that the two were waiting for her lead like the proper gentlemen that they were, so Kay stepped down the ramp first, being sure to keep her balance. The last thing that she needed was to slip and fall. That'd be embarrassing. Yet the added weight in her belly shifted her center of gravity to a point that she was still getting used to.

She didn't know what to expect when she had arrived. Normally she had a plan, but this time she had nothing. That was partially what made her nervous. Regardless, she had a feeling that it'd be a good day.

Approaching the Beris System
The nice thing about the split bridge design was that Sor-Jan could be blissfully ignorant of the day-to-day troubles that came with running a ship this size.

He was familiar with them. Intimately so, as he'd commanded a ship identical to General Skywalker's Intervention during the Clone Wars. Except his had been the Sentinel. What happened to it, he had no idea. He imagined it probably had an illustrious career in the service of the Galactic Empire. No doubt killing Jedi and subjugating worlds before being put out to pasture with the rise of the Imperial-class star destroyer later on.

But, while Captain Jaris managed the navigation and handling of the Intervention from the port tower, Sor-Jan oversaw the galactic corporation and its activities from the starboard side. Which was a very fitting designation, the starboard tower, as it housed the Sasori stellar cartographic suite that helped to frame and illustrate the data supplied by the advanced sensor suite.

The small Anzat stood in the center of a luminous starfield. Working with a datapad in hand, the boy reached up a free hand to casually manipulate the holographic objects and screens as he walked among the false color rendering of the Fei Hu Sector. Currently, he had five ships on different trajectories along the Gamor Run hyperlane, gathering updated sensor mapping of the pathways and electromagnetic anomalies present in the background radiation.

A chime prompted the tow-headed boy to look up. "Yes?"

"Now approaching the Beris System, General."

Turning left, the boy took a minute to get his bearings. Then realized he was facing the wrong way. Spinning around, the young vampire slowly walked toward the holographic representation of the Beris System as he replied, "Hold here, and prepare to deploy a subspace relay station."

Launching one of their CD-9J relays outside of the system heliopause ought to provide near total coverage that overlapped back the northern Fei Hu systems and the southern part of the Maerdocian Sector. A second and third along the Gamor Run and they'd have the sector covered.

There was a second chime that interrupted him.

"We've detected a vessel operating outside of the Beris System. They appear to be flying Directorate colors."

The Directorate? Why did that sound familiar. Pausing a moment, the boy shuffled the holographic windows around as he brought up the display of a Lucerne Labs manufactured Defender-class cruiser.

The Lucerne Labs part helped to make the connection in his memory. That was a [member="Gir Quee"] operation, from around the time that the Galactic Republic had started to break down. "What are they doing?" the boy asked curiously.

"They appear to be maintaining outside the system, sir."

Holding outside the system? What were they waiting on? Assuming they were waiting on something.

Permission to enter, most likely. If he recalled correctly, Gir was something of a stickler for rules. "Open a channel."

It was a moment before the window popped up, indicating that a comlink frequency was being broadcast toward the Directorate vessel. "This is Sor-Jan Xantha of the Corellia Digital Corporation. May we be of assistance?"

"Do you regularly have to lift, with both hands, items over 11 kg or items over 7 kg with one hand?"

"No to both" the employee answered, annoyed by the presence of the ergonomic assessor.

"Lifting above shoulder height or below knee level?"

"No, except perhaps for the IT guys"

With the Jawa preparing the checklist for carrying out an ergonomic assessment, and Tiffany preparing hers, he starts his very first ergonomic assessment by asking around whether there are force-related hazards, assuming that they are human/Near-Human NFUs to begin with. So that takes care of the force-related items for a whole swath of the stations. And then he began inspecting the chairs for out-of-alignment headrests, backrests, and also odd angles for the seat or backrest, knowing that out-of-alignment furniture is a hazard that can affect the occupant's posture, and also out-of-alignment equipment. However, looking at out-of-alignment work equipment or furniture was just not the end of the story. He didn't find, on the first workstation, that there was out-of-alignment equipment, but the second chair was out of alignment. The next step was to make sure that there was no neck bending beyond 20 degrees, nor wrist postures beyond 20 degrees either, and then the occupant of the station had to be seated.

Gir idly waited for Lieutenant Tems to get in contact with the Beris authorities. He began to feel more and more certain that whatever conversation Tems had with them would only result in more delays. He understood why many politicians had gatekeepers and dedicated staff for filtering through what he was certain was a deluge of calls and messages. Yet he couldn't help but wonder why whatever passed for their diplomatic corps didn't have some sort of streamlined protocol set up with their rescue or patrol group for this sort of emergency. Beckwith tiptoed to one of the bridge's holo-projectors and began to idly fiddle with the settings.

Gir initially paid her actions little heed as he began to ponder alternative courses of action. A certain part of him was tempted to discreetly jettison a few astrogation probes to scout out the border immediately around them. Yet he doubted that would do little good, as the ship's sensors had already scanned the same area. Stealth craft were another option, but like the probes, would cause a diplomatic incident if they were detected. And Gir could little afford that, especially if he wanted to keep the Directorate and its corporate forces in good standing with the Commenor Systems Alliance. I'm thinking about this all wrong. I just have to talk to the right people...maybe someone in their navy? Someone who can understand the irritation of red tape? His mind snapped to his immediate surroundings, and he noticed that Beckwith appeared to be looking at a Venator Star Destroyer. Gir had seen several before, but this one seemed oddly familiar. A baritone voice called down to him. Gir looked up to the voice and recognized him as one of Tems's enlisted comms personnel.

"Admiral Quee, incoming transmission from the Intervention."

Realization flash flooded and overwhelmed his thoughts as he stared at the holo of the star destroyer. Of course...

"Patch it through."

Gir listened to the perpetually youthful anzat and recalled his last encounter with the jedi. Or at least he had been at that point. Gir stepped forward and tapped several buttons on the holo-projector, bring both himself and Captain Beckwith on the holo-projector to talk to the president of Corellia Digital Corporation.

"It is good to see you again, Mr. Xantha," started Gir, briefly turning to motion towards the ship's captain, "this is Captain Beckwith, the Windswept's captain. Captain Beckwith, Mr. Xantha of Corellia Digital Corporation..."

He briefly considered his approach for a half-second.

"...I'll cut to the chase. Have you heard any news of the missing Berit diplomat or his vessel, the Azure Moon?"

Landing had gone smoothly and while Captain Terrac would choose to remain aboard The KingsGuard, Veiere would lead Kay along the path towards the Enclave of the Jedi Order that he had established alongside those who had come to the conclave of Yutan. This place held a great deal of memories to him, those which transcended the current inhabitance of the temple but ran all the way back to the plight of the Galactic Republic's battle against the One Sith Empire.

"Mount Meru's quite a sight isn't she" Veiere smiled to his wife as he gestured off to their right, the height of which they stood overlooked the far plains of the desert landscape, a valley of golden sand for which traversed as far as their eyes would take them. "For the longest time this world was left in ruins after the war between the Republic and the biological weapons wrought against them by the Sith and mercenary groups that had supported their attacks at the time. If you remember, you were doing a live interview, still a representative of the Republic even back then...your name still carried weight despite being forced to resign" his gaze soon took to her own and he gave an encouraging squeeze of her hand while the path closed in towards the enclave and the mountainous ridge shielded the view of the open world from them now.

"This place isn't a secret to those that took part in such battles but it holds great significance to the Jedi...-It will be interesting to see where things move with Commenor residing over here. The Order seeks to establish themselves further north now and they will likely continue to make use of this place for a good while, yet I wonder what it might do for us as well. There's still a good amount you could learn in the privacy of such a place, away from the eyes of others".

Kay nodded in agreement. The scenery was beautiful, just a bit too hot for her liking. Despite rescuing slaves on many worlds in Hutt Space that were quite hot, she had gotten used to the temperate climate of Chasin City. Commenor had it's deserts, but she didn't really visit them often.

A smirk appeared on her face as [member="Veiere Arenais"] spoke of her name carrying weight in the past. That certainly wasn't true. Hardly anyone listened to her. And when it comes to Galaxy-wide politics, the same could be said. Only in their Alliance territories did her name hold any meaning. In some ways that was a blessing. It made them less of a target.

Still, she knew that he meant well with what he said. Her eyes met his as he looked to her, the squeeze of her hand obviously meant to help relieve her of her anxiety. In some ways it helped.

He spoke of the enclave and the importance of it. Yet still it seemed to be something that should be forbidden from her. Years of hiding what she was had put her in such a state, despite Veiere's encouragement otherwise. "We'll look after this place, my dear. And yes, I have much to learn, but the time for lessons won't be for some time yet. I do believe that we'll be quite busy with our children, if we want them raised properly." Another thought struck her. One that she hadn't really thought of before, as funny as that was. "Have you given any thought to names? We'd have to settle on two of each as...well, we don't know what we're having yet." Off topic, yes, but it was a related tangent that she was going off on.

It seemed like the galaxy was Natalie's oyster at the moment, though she was lacking one thing. Property.

While controlling a major conglomerate was nice, there was one thing nicer. Obtaining multiple locations to do your very legal activities and procuring an enormous amount of wealth while doing so. Despite not having a particular reason for choosing Deneba, other than she assumed it was a backwater planet in need of development and the local government would be happy to allow somebody so sophisticated and elegant to take on bringing the people into the next age of technological advancement.

Though when Natalie arrived, she was unsure of why the travel brochure had lied to her, maybe the pictures were outdated? She sighed and continued to make her away in solitude to the planning meeting with who was probably a blue collar worker just trying to make a living. Even the place she was arranged to meet with them was modern, everything was white, chrome or glass and the reception even had free holonet access! Something she didn't enjoy the luxury of in Mygeeto.

"Miss LaForte to see... Deneba central planning and development commission."

Commission? More than one of them? Natalie nodded to the man behind the desk, before walking in with her briefcase. Prior, she had taken the heavy raincoat she had brought preparing for the worst, though it was as dry a night as ever.

"A...aa Miss Laforte. We've been expecting you." The voice came from seemingly nowhere, though what appeared to be a Sullustan peered over the desk flanked by two humans standing behind him.

"You must be... comissioner Raja? A pleasure to meet you. I'm here-.."

"I know why you're here." What looked to be a smirk crossed her lips as Natalie became increasingly worried.

"Looks like the keyboard height can't be adjusted: might be best to provide an adjustable-height keyboard tray, as well as an adjustable-height screen"

"What are the benefits of such equipment?"

"Not only it allows, for different shifts, to re-use the same workstation for a variety of different users, it allows each user to adjust the station to their liking if at all possible"

Out-of-alignment seats and furniture would be much easier to address provided the degrees of freedom are sufficient in the furniture to allow healthy adjustments. However, the big, uncomfortable question that is left unasked and, by that same logic, unanswered, is: what are those work stations used for? He had to realize that much of the adjustments needed to the furniture depended on the work being done. Certain types of work called for L-shaped stations, such as secretary, accounting, or even other positions where direct contact with people was important. While data entry or, in general, tasks with limited task variety and face-to-face interaction would be just fine with a straight-line desk. An angular configuration might be more appropriate for jobs calling upon a wider variety of tasks, or even an U-configuration, but the U-configuration takes up a lot of space and is more expensive to implement, so it is likely to be more confined to the higher-level personnel.

An elderly Jedi with graying hair would quietly walk along a path leading from the Enclave, using his cane as a walking stick. His gaze would briefly turn to gaze out at the surrounding desert as he paused to regain his composure. The heat and his age did not get along together very well, so it was necessary for him to rest from time to time on Deneba. After an adequate amount of time had passed, he would resume his walk along the path, softly humming a tune to himself, the crystal at the end of his cane that he held in his hand lightly pulsating like a beating heart.

It would not be long before he had come across two individuals who were also on the same path that he walked upon, pausing in his tracks. A brief moment would pass before his expression seemed to soften and he gave a respected bow before speaking, "I hope I am not intruding upon Your Majestys' conversation." The elderly Jedi would return to his formal posture before speaking once more, "I am Master Slane of the Jedi Order. I wish to apologize in advance on behalf of my fellow council members that will be unable to greet you in person as they are...Otherwise engaged in critical matters of the moment."

The elderly Jedi would shift off to the side of the path, one hand resting on his cane as the other gestured towards the way he came from the Enclave, making a quick inquiry to make small talk to the royal couple. "I trust everything has been well since your arrival on Deneba? I'm sure the Enclave would prove to be much better suited than remaining out in this heat for long."
