Sibi shakes her head quickly, before her wide eyes look the giant up and down "Quiglings will build ships and stations.. Sibi just needs materials for Super-Station on outer rim of Quigos system.. If Outer Rim Coalition brings materials and helps with construction.. then Sibi can align Quigos with Coalition... Sibi also need guarantee that Quigling hunter-clans not be frightened, and hunt as please."

"We can provide materials for a station like that, sure - systems, mainly. I assume you'll be using your natural durasteel reserves for the bulk of the structural elements. And by all means, we can bring in some construction folks. It'll be a great opportunity for cross-training and building connections, our folks working alongside each other, learning new ways to build stuff. Love it.

"As for the hunter-clans, we've got no interest in interfering with local culture or pressing our attention too hard. That's just not something we do except in really rare circumstances. We had this one planet join up where some of the locals hunted each other, and sentient-on-sentient violence, institutionalized and all, wasn't really something we could endorse. But yeah, I don't see any problems with giving your world plenty of breathing room and tech assistance. The Coalition Council's going to love to hear that you've got plans to build your own defense ships, too; collective defense is always a stretch at that level."

Sibi Smiles at the prospect of cooperation, and the fact that her people will be free to do as they please "Sibi think this sound very good!" She pauses, not entirely sure what to actually do though.. and so after a few seconds she asks "But.. what must Sibi do for Quigling people to join Outer Rim Coalition?"

"Oh, there'll be folks coming with paperwork and all manner of things to sign. That's just part of it, though. The more important bit is this." Jorus leaned across the low table and extended his hand, careful to make the gesture non-threatening.

"Around here we take a handshake seriously."

Sibi hasn't known 'aliens' for that long, but this tradition of 'hand shakes' she has caught onto rather quickly, although it still frightened her when individuals thrust their hands out suddenly, but thankfully he was slow about it. So, she plops her much smaller hand into his and attempts to shake it, grinning the whole time.
