STANDARD FEATURES
  • All standard features.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Landing Pillars: Rarely for ships of this size, the Ostenxa Class Carrier is capable of making planetary lands, thanks to its massive landing pillars. Because of this, these ships can serve as a plantary base for an occupying military.
  • Escape Pod Bridge: If all seems lost, the Bridge section of an Ostenxa Class Carrier is capable of functioning as an escape pod, and quietly slipping away from battle.
  • Ground Vehicle Storage: Ground vehicles such as the RK-22 Armored Landspeeder or the AT-EMAP can be stored in cargo bays separate from the starship hangars, in the event of a ground battle. However, ground vehicles are not a part of the Ostenxa Class Carrier’s standard loadout, and these cargo bays are usually left empty.
STRENGTHS
  • Overwhelming: The sheer number of spacecraft that the Ostenxa Class Carrier is capable of deploying is staggering.
  • Floating Fortress: The Ostenxa Class Carrier is capable of taking serious damage, and can easily serve as a command ship, thanks to its ejectable bridge and importance in a fleet.
  • Works Well With Others: The Ostenxa Class Carrier works very well when accompanied by a small support fleet of Prosperity Class Medium Cruisers and Cerulean Class Frigates.
WEAKNESSES
  • Vulnerable Underbelly: The Ostenxa Class Carrier’s armor is weaker in the underbelly areas between the landing pillars. However, it would take a very skilled pilot to fly between the pillars to deliver a decisive strike.
  • Easy To Board: The hangar bay doors of the Ostenxa Class Carrier open rapidly, but close very slowly. Slowly enough that an enterprising enemy pilot could sneak in and cause chaos.
DESCRIPTION
The Ostenxa Class Carrier represents the next phase in the Pyke Syndicate’s expansion. With the rapid and unexpected collapse of several Galactic governments, Grand Wsjirari Jej Ulchtar has decided that the Pyke Syndicate must take a new direction. That direction being the hostile takeover of some of these newly independent worlds. In order to do this, he commissioned 4 gargantuan carrier starships from Incom FreiTek, a reliable provider of starships for the Pyke Syndicate.

The end result were the Ostenxa Class Carriers. Each of these massive starships is named after a war god or war goddess from ancient mythologies on Oba Diah. The list includes:

  • The Ostenxa: The original prototype, and namesake of the class. Stationed in semi-permanent orbit over Oba Diah as both a defensive platform, and a warning to anyone who might try challenging the Syndicate’s authority. Its commanding officer is Captain Yepenska Wrel. Wrel is a young and clever officer who shows quite a bit of potential, but has a crippling problem with arrogance.
  • The Weleryok: The second one built, and the most experienced in combat. It has seen deployment both in quelling a slave revolt on Kessel, and the full-scale invasion of a mountainous planet named Torlonis. Both battles ended in victory for the Pykes. Its commanding officer is Captain Naxad Quand.
  • The Salvankal: The third one built. It saw use in staging an invasion of a primitive forest planet named Rikuaes. Its commanding officer is Captain Lanssk’wassak’Ractassk, notable for being the only non-Pyke to be assigned command of one of these ships.
  • The Dovacheen: The fourth and final one built. It has yet to see any actual combat, but is currently stationed on the borders of Pyke space. Its commanding officer is Captain Vydos Krendall.
Being assigned as the commanding officer of one of these behemoths is considered a badge of status in the Pyke Syndicate
