- Weaponized Tractor Beam: The Prosperity class is equipped with a tractor beam which is capable of twisting and warping objects caught in its grip. A ship with a good shielding system can hold this weapon off, but only for so long. Just how long depends on how much power is being concentrated towards powering the beam, and how much damage the shields have already sustained.
- Smuggling Compartments: Because the Prosperity class is often used to smuggle illegal items, these ships are outfitted with hidden storage areas not shown on the ship blueprints for hiding these items.
- Communication Scrambler: The Prosperity class is equipped with communication scramblers which make intercepting transmissions from these ships incredibly difficult.
- Weaponized Tractor Beam: This weapon can be used for all sorts of situations, and many captains of Prosperity class ships rely heavily on it.
- Perfect For Smuggling: The Prosperity class is very useful for smuggling, due to its communication scrambler, hidden compartments, and high speed.
- Weapons Cover All Angles: The Prosperity class has a very well designed weapon arrangement, with its quad turbolaser cannons on the top, missile launchers on the sides, and the weaponized tractor beam on the bottom.
- Can Be Tricked: Due to a design oversight, the Prosperity class’ weaponized tractor beam can be tricked into destroying itself when used on an organic object. Something about the way it registers the element carbon causes it to reverse its own polarity and short circuit.
- One At A Time Missiles: The Prosperity class’ missile launchers can only be fired one at a time, which could potentially cause problems if an enemy needs to be destroyed very quickly.
The Prosperity class Medium Cruiser was commissioned by the Pyke Syndicate as the ultimate attack cruiser/smuggling cruiser hybrid for their exclusive use. These ships have both cutting edge weapon systems and the cargo capacity to hold enough Coaxium to power a small fleet of starships for a long time. Nowadays, these ships are becoming more and more prominent and common in the shadier parts of the Galaxy.
The best feature of the Prosperity class would almost certainly be the weaponized tractor beam. The beam is capable of utterly massacring unprepared starfighter squadrons with ease, and more than makes up for the Prosperity class’ lack of much hangar space. Ace pilots can usually manage to maneuver around it, but even so, they still need to deal with the missile launchers and quad turbolaser cannons.
