Based on design of the OS-124 Tactical Ballistic Vest, the OS-125 Tactical Ballistic Vest is also a torso-covering vest. Instead of an armorweave fabric, this model is made with cortosis-weave fabric. As well, the carbon-durasteel plates used in the previous model have been replaced with plates made from Phrik alloy. Due to these upgrades, this model provides excellent protection against energy and kinetic attacks, as well as from lightsabers while still being lightweight and concealable enough to be worn under clothing for extended periods of time. The trade-off is that the wearer is only armored on their torso, leaving them open to head and limb injuries. In addition, the materials are so rare that each vest costs a small fortune and only a very few have every been made. As well, the vest provides no protection against sonic weapons or ION/EMP weapons.
