OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Space Station Name: Orbital Garrison Hub 001 [OGH-001]
  • Station Model: Grandeur-Class Space Command Center
  • Classification: Orbital Garrison
  • Location: Mon Cala
  • Affiliation: The Final Dawn
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics: Mostly comprised of Humans, O'reenians and Temerurians with a small minority of Mon Cala and Quarrens.
  • Accessibility: The Orbital Garrison Hub 001 can be found easily, given its position in low orbit of Mon Calamari proper, with anyone in possession of a starship being able to find it with relative ease. However, the Orbital Command Center is heavily guarded given the Imperial Garrison stationed onboard and the considerable naval presence around it. Access to the Command Center is extremely restricted, with only Imperial Personnel with the proper clearance allowed to set foot on the station.
  • Traffic: Moderate
  • Description: The Orbital Garrison Hub 001 is a large space station currently situated in low orbit of the aquatic world of Mon Cala, serving as the base of operations of the Final Dawn's garrison on Mon Cala. Home to tens of thousands of Imperial Soldiers and Battle Droids, it is a crucial component of the Final Dawn's presence on Mon Cala, ensuring that the planet and its vital infrastructure remain in the hands of Imperial forces and providing a counterweight against the growing influence of rebel/pro-democracy movements in the sector. Furthermore, thanks to its three Capital Ship Docking Bays, Orbital Garrison Hub 001 can house an additional security complement of Capital Ships, enabling the Final Dawn to further project its power across the area.
POINTS OF INTEREST

Command BridgeThe primary nerve center and administrative hub of the entire platform. Designed as a state-of-the-art regional headquarters, it is built to coordinate massive, multi-ship battle nets and oversee planetary sectors. The deck features advanced holographic walls and tactical displays, giving commanders direct oversight of nearby fleets and military personnel without relying on distant core command structures.
Capital Ship Docking BaysMassive external mooring structures engineered to secure and service large warships. These specialized berths allow multiple full-sized capital ships to anchor directly to the platform simultaneously, making it a critical staging area for fleet movements, supply transfers, and high-ranking naval meetings.
Central Transit SystemAn internal rail jet network that acts as the primary transit artery of the platform. Because of the vast distances between different operational sectors, this high-speed train system is vital for rapidly deploying security forces, transferring crew members, and moving heavy materials between isolated areas.
Hangar BaysThe primary staging ground for the platform's extensive aerial and space forces. These bays house a very large contingent of starfighter and support craft squadrons. The flight decks are secured by sectional blast doors and managed by specialized automated droids that handle repairs, refueling, and rapid ship deployments.
Reactor BaysThe heavily guarded power generation core of the platform. This secure area houses the main energy grids that sustain the station's heavy defensive shielding, localized life support systems, and massive weapon networks, while also feeding energy into the industrial manufacturing furnaces used for fabricating replacement parts.
Detention CenterA high-security brig designed to safely hold high-value prisoners and enemy captives. The sector is heavily fortified with advanced energy cages and specialized containment fields. For added security against breakouts, the access elevators are equipped with emergency blast charges to completely seal the prison block off from the rest of the crew.
Personnel QuartersExtensive residential blocks dedicated to housing the platform's massive permanent crew and visiting military personnel. These living spaces are built to support thousands of individuals during long-term sector deployments, providing standard quarters, mess halls, and basic living amenities to keep the workforce operational.
Recreation FacilitiesSectors dedicated to the morale, comfort, and mental well-being of the crew during extended assignments. These facilities feature localized rest areas and specialized meditation chambers, offering officers and crew members a rare, quiet sanctuary away from the high-stress environments of the command deck and hangars.
ArmoryThe central distribution and storage hub for infantry weaponry, ammunition, and combat gear. It supplies the station's organic security forces and automated droid battalions. The armoury also features onboard replication systems, allowing the platform to continuously restock small arms and spent ordnance during prolonged engagements.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Following the collapse of the Imperial Confederation, Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen ordered all Imperial military assets to begin a strategic withdrawal to the worlds of Cholganna, Mahporeem and Mon Cala to prepare for the reorganization and revitalization of the remnants of the Imperial Confederation. With both the Final Dawn and the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant quickly emerging among the remnants of the Confederation, the Supreme Commander initiated his first moves, striking against Murkhana and moving forth to strengthen the Final Dawn's presence on worlds under its influence.

Among the worlds in the Final Dawn's sphere of influence was Mon Cala, which had been placed under the stewardship of Karl von Struass, the former Exarch of the Imperial Confederation. However, the emergence of the Confederacy of Free Worlds and its growing presence on Mon Cala caused the planet to begin slipping away from Imperial Rule, especially given the difficulty of exerting control over an ocean world and its aquatic population. Following the Imperial operation on Murkhana, Sularen would turn his sights on Mon Cala, moving swiftly to strengthen the Imperial presence on the planet and combat the growing rebel presence.

To this end, a Grandeur-Class Space Command Center would be placed in orbit of Mon Cala to increase the Final Dawn's presence in the sector. Given the designation "Orbital Garrison Hub 001", the Space Command Center serves as the main base of operations for a large Imperial garrison force that could be swiftly deployed planeside to crush any Anti-Imperial activities and enforce the mandates of the Final Dawn, while also providing the Final Dawn with a means to both maintain control over the vast Mon Calamari Shipyards and defend it from future attacks by hostile factions.

For the Final Dawn, the Orbital Garrison Hub 001 is a symbol of its ever-growing power-projection capabilities and a reminder that no world is outside its reach. For the Mon Cala and Quarren, it is a representation of the looming might of Imperialism whose gaze will never turn away from their precious aquatic world, a reminder that no matter how many Empires rise and fall, the specter of Imperialism is eternal.
