Operation Icebreaker (SO vs. SJO)

Objective: Landing on Midvinter
Location: Landing on Midvinter
Allies: Sith
Enemies: Jedi and whatever
Gear: In Bio

The Ships broke through the planets atmosphere, not yet shoot down by whatever defenses the Midvinter had set up for invaders. If it was because of traveling under a false flag or simply by chance he couldn't say, but it didn't mattered anyway. There was still the way down to the surface, so enough time to risk being killed before they could even make a move. But if fate hadn't stopped them yet, it would probably don't stop them now, or at least that was what Abyss liked to believe. After all operations like this always were high risk - high reward situations in the end.

As the autopilot locked on the landing zone, a rather wide area composed of several openings in a forest roughly 10 minutes from the capital, the rest of Abyss men began to clear the ships, leaving only a handful of soldiers, still shrouded in their Scared Lotus costumes, out in the open, behind them the rest of the fake medication that wasn't picked up the saboteurs. They would be the first to step out once the ships would land, while Abyss and the others would hide in every possible corner of the ships. Hopefully someone would be foolish enough to check the ship for possible intruders, weapons or anything else that would give them away as sith, instead of a group that came to help the innocents on Midvinter, giving them the perfect opportunity to quickly slay them in close quarters while staying in the shadows.

On his comm Abyss looked at the countdown. 30 Seconds until they would reach the ground, 30 seconds until they would learn how exactly the enemy would react. The sith lord was kept his focus, forcing the shadows around him to keep him hidden away from sight. His men were effective, but he was still the key to all his own operations. No shadow operative he had found, trained or brought had yet been able to live up to his level of skill, and in the end it always feel to him to make sure that his plans succeeded.

While Abyss and his men got ready for the assault, the saboteurs did so as well. Their task would be to wait out the ambush and then use the chaos to somehow cross behind enemy lines, where they could spread their deadly load of drugs through either the planets population or through the defending forces if they would be exceptionally lucky today. For most this would count as a pretty crazy plan, but in all honesty, Abyss had done far crazier things and succeeded.

Willa continued as she was looking at it the Midvinter fleet was set there as they continued to shoot out. The interdictors were there with the other ships to protect them and move in as she had set up a small field area. She was coordinating it as the jericho class wall was set up, interlocked and the ships prepared to give them everything here. She wasn't looking to risk it as the squadrons in the hanger of the ship were heading out. There were the transports and everything they had being set up as they brought in the prefab walls to make barricades at the chokepoints. The valkyri were in their city with their forces and Willa looked at them as she spoke into the com channel. "High King [member="Thyrian Hearthfire"], we have the mobile defenses set up a kilometer outside the city. Major chokepoints and space while we are moving more forces in. Planetary shield carrier is above the city and we have fighter and ship coverage to defend it." She was looking at more of the city itself where they had set up. She knew that [member="Arisa Yune"] was setting up as well where the builk of their armored transports were making a barricade at the largest of the chokepoints to funnel forces coming at them.

"Commander Isard there are ships approaching with the sith forces, they are claiming to be medical relief and there is a second one as well." Willa was looking at it as the lens flare from her helmet looked out for a moment. This was a planet about to be attacked... one foreign medical group showing up and offering preemptive aid is suspicious, two groups that was just down right.... idiotic. The attack hadn't even started and already they were barreling to the planet, with enemy forces. "Commander..." The one ranger said while Willa held her hand up. "Shhh shhh shhh." She was waiting for a moment there while she stood. "My common senses.... they are tingling." Willa was looking at it and brought up the screen while she was going over and setting up the tactical map for all of the area inside of the wall they had set up. The jericho ships would have the elevation for long range attacking and they could send bomber wings out to handle the approaching forces. With the shield up and the dymo ships there running defensive line they had layer of protection to the shield from within and from outside of it to cover everything.

"For these doctors and healers.... do not let them behind the lines here. They can stay with their ships and if the triage class and its medical ships, our medical stations run out of doctors, healers, medics and our ranger units of combat medics, healers, doctors get suddenly injured.... We might let them out but if they step too close or try to bypass anything you use the beamers on them. Those beams are made to drop wookiee's and I am tired of the constant idiocy where someone shows up and then betrays us. Unless they are cleared and in Rebirths databanks they do not set foot into my perimeter understood." She said it and was looking at the ranger's as they moved working with the others and reporting it. Leaving the message to the other ships and ones who would be interacted with by [member="Darth Abyss"] and [member="Vixley CM-01"]. Willa stayed there before she looked off seeing some of their speeders coming over the ridge. The purple of the scout speeders to go out. "Have all of your work set out and contact Arisa Yune or someone. find out what the frell an Order of the Sacred Lotus is cause we got nothing here." There were nods from the others going off and she continued to let them set up the defenses.

Her eyes were checking out more of the things around them before her fingers touched the hood of her armors cloak before she was going. Speaking to her assembled men and women with the ranger's main division. "You know me, I am not one for speeches or for much of this. I prefer to just shoot the things coming at us but I was told that talking can be inspiring. So I will just make this sweet or whatever. We don't know how many forces they are bringing but we have seen this tactic before. We have seen how the sith fight and created more then enough counter measures. Remember your equipment, watch each others backs and you have far better equipment then most mandalroians, the technical work that has gone into your equipment gives you the edge in combat and your training, your support and your allies are what gives you strength. We are no longer one person out for themselves or one other person, we are family and family fights but we also know how to fight those who threaten us. Things have changed and that is what matters most." She got some looks from the blank expressions of the helmets that they had. The ranger's though were prepared and confirmation clicks came up like a lightshow in her helmet.

"We know the normal waves, graug... undead, a few lords sneaking around and in general former members of the order who decided to turn against us. From Ossus, to Voss several times, what we saw helping out the jedi order. We have seen it all, few changes aside from just the new ranks they are claiming, new apprentices just as delusional as their masters and we also know the paces that will happen. Our soldiers and the jedi will be tempted, told how serving the sith and the darkside will make them strong enough to wipe out the weak jedi. A strong argument until you think about it. Remind the jedi that if they would have that power by giving up everything and serving this lord, this knight, this darksider then why haven't they proven their strength." She got nods while motioning with a hand. "Pair up, small teams and join each jedi here on the ground. Stay in constant contact and take a biot ranger with your. Their internal communications are much harder to hack and shut down when the problems start." She got nods from the others with a look before the small squad were there in the light blue armor where they were sitting in one of the armored transport. "Redemption Squad form up and be prepared for a fight."

Come And Get Them

When the Dark Lord approached [member="Asharad Graush"] and [member="Braith Achlys"] his helmet was held under his arm the mans luminous sulfuric yellow eyes blazing down at those around them. While a Beezlebub-Class Assault Ship would carry the legion sized force, a portion of the vast corps that was the Blackblade Guard, around the Sith were groups of S90 MAAT Gunships now loaded to the brim with more of these elite legionnaires. While the assault ship would land outside the walls of Thainbroek disgorging the forces of the guard to assault the walls, Darth Prazutis and his task force were on a far different mission against the vaklyri of Midvinter.

The valkyri were a people who possessed technology far below galactic standard their city was still protected by tall stone walls holding ballista rather than anti air turrets. The guards held bows instead of blasters, but still they endured. These were a strong, stubborn people. Until reinforcements from the Silver Jedi Order could arrive they were vastly outgunned by the technologically superior Sith. "The snow capped mountains will burn in our wake, Lord Vyrassu." Prazutis said gesturing to the gunship. Darth Vyrassu was a wolf building a powerbase within the First Order independent of the zealous Knights of Ren. While the main force would begin to land outside the walls they would mover overtop the walls, a ploy to draw Thurion Heavenshield from hiding.

For this assault in truth Braxus was glad to have Braith at his side for what was to come. What they were had changed greatly in recent times. Five short years ago the woman was his target, marked for death. Over the course of their time imprisoned together they had become close friends. Recently since her prophetic return when she arrived on Thule that day, everything changed. Through the time they spent together they had become so much more than friends, they were lovers. To have her at his side here was empowering. He stepped closer to her then speaking softly "While the legion assaults the walls. We'll be dropped directly into the city, Were going to draw Heavenshield and his family out of hiding." He said, kissing her. "We'll destroy them all, together." The pair made their way onto the dropship last.

Tháinbroek, Midvinter

As battle raged around the beleaguered city a series of S90 MAAT Gunships descended over the many assault ships disgorging graug, flew over the landed assauilt ship that disgorged the Destroyer's elite legionnaires. These gunships opened fire their cannons blazing as they targeted the walls of the city with cannons and blaster fire alike, setting ballista toting towers alight with bright clouds of explosive energy. These ships scythed over the walls cutting deeper into the city past the warriors who defended against the sieging invaders.

It was deeper in the city among crowds of scrambling civilians, those who didn't count themselves among defenders of the wall that these gunships stopped their smoking barrels silenced, as arrows deflected off their light shielding. The side door slid open on this lead ship revealing the Destroyer himself in all his splendor, a pair of sulfuric yellow eyes blazed down through his spiked helmet to the people below. The Destroyer stood like a god of war. The dark harbinger gripped Daesumnor in his hand as he glared down at the gathered crowds of people who had stopped to gaze up at these ships. A simple signal was sent over the battlenet.

Then came his angels.

The doors of the many gunships accompanying him slid open and descending from the sky like angels came a force unlike any other: Blackblade Guard. The elite legion known in myth and legend as infamous jedi and mandalorian killers across the galaxy, the troopers spoken of in hushed whispers for the heinous acts committed in the name of their masters. Populations were extinguished, civilizations snuffed out under the marching boots of these monsters. A burning hatred like the intensity of a bright supernova emanated from the great Dark Lord down at the lesser peoples. Prazutis simply raised his blade forward through the air his voice ringing out both through the battlenet and to those below. "Kill them! Kill them all! LET THERE BE WAR!"

Immediately the Dark Lord jumped from the dropship crashing to the earth below, the very ground cracked and broke upon his fall. What followed next could only be described as a storm. It was as if the very heavens themselves cracked open and the wrath of vengeful gods came down in a storm of fire. Every weapon held on these gunships opened fire at the valkyri warriors and innocents alike, as well as the buildings. A storm of blaster fire surged with each trooper whose feet touched the surface, if it moved it met its end by the sound of roaring blasters. They would go block by block, house by house. Tháinbroek would be a slaughterhouse before the end.

The deaths of the innocents, his people would draw [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] from wherever he was hiding, and that would lead to his downfall. The Dark Lord stretched out his hand as a radiant blast of pure dark side energy swept down through the street in a crimson wave, those unfortunate enough to be caught in its path found themselves utterly destroyed, the flesh stripped from their bones by the dark side.

They'd fianlly come.

His eyes snapped open, coming to rest on the menacing visage of the Sith Stalker helmet. He kept it as a reminder if nothing else, to help him keep in mind where he'd come from, how far he'd risen, and how far he refused to ever fall again. The Jedi Master had grown stronger over the years, his temper ebbed away and was replaced by a strong serenity. Perhaps Marek had finally found peace thanks to Rasu and his own trials.

Regardless of whatever peace he had found internally, what was taking place externally, was anything but. Despite the time it had been since his last war, the donning of the armor was still routine, the black magnus metal fit perfectly over his body, providing excellent protection at the sacrifice of some mobility. With the locking of each clasp his mind became clearer on the task at hand. He had to stop the Sith from burning the world to the ground, well obviously not just him, but still.

With his armor adorned he opened up a line of communication to an old friend, [member="Syn"]. "Hey pal, where do I need to be to be the most help?" Syn would know his voice, sense his presence, and likely knew exactly where the Jedi Master would best fit in the stand against the Sith.

EAST OF THAINBROEK
MIDVINTER

Just like on the day he and his master - [member="Tai Fa"] - had fought the primitive hordes of savages, here as well Vitor had to prove his worth. To his master, to himself and to the Sith. He had to climb the ladder of power even if it meant engaging in warfare. For last couple of months he been overwhelmed with information about combat, along with often training. He had deemed that necessary after almost being devoured by the horde of savage in unknown space. Lord Fa had suggested as much.

Lieutenant Stirok, [member="Malok"]'s trusty right-hand ape, was often found working with Vitor in numerous operations. It was he who had been Vitor's drill sergeant in the last six months. Stirok had warned him that if Vitor accepts to go through this 'boot camp' of his, then Avendahl should not expect to be treated as a superior by the lieutenant. Contracts and pay were all tossed out of the window. The businessman had agreed. It would cost him swallowing his hate of feeling a servant once, as it had cost him when he had bowed his head before his master Lord Fa.

Now, after six months of boot camp, the fresh blood Vitor Avendahl rode the silent speeder through the cold and frigid terrain of Midvinter on his way to a rendezvous point with Drexyl I and apparently someone else. They were one of the few elements who would group into small cells that would operate separate of the bulk of armies and use the front lines as a distraction to be successful in what they were to do.

Put into a salvaged, thus lighter and with less protection, armor that the fearsome Blackblade Guard of House Zambrano donned, Vitor was not complaining of the weight as the suit preserved his body from the freezing cold that was outside. The rifle magnetically sealed on his back was the same rifle that Stirok gave him as a service rifle. The same rifle that he had maintained and taken care of every single day of the past six months. On his hip was clipped the lightsaber hilt of the same dead padawan that [member="Thengil Ri'Shajirr"] had slain on Yutan.

:: Drexyl I, this is Anooba I. I have arrived at rendezvous point. Repeat. Arrived at rendezvous point. How copy ? :: Vitor spoke through the integrated comlink in his helmet. Still terrible at military-type of communication, he tried his best.

The acolyte finally hit the brakes of his speeder and slowly decelerated at a short ridge where the Sith were to meet.

Animals had an instinct to be wary around things bigger than themselves. Despite her inability to empathize with most around her, Matsu was still an animal, and when her apprentice strode up behind her in half the time it had taken her to cross the bridge the hair on the back of her neck stood up. His touch on her face was cool and dry and as he lowered to lock his bottomless black eyes with her glowing return, she was prepared to make him a bloodstreak on the bridge of her ship. Touch was difficult. She hadn’t allowed it before Reverance, and for no one besides him and Vrag since.

And yet Korog, in his audacity…

And yet she smiled as he breathed in, tilting her head as if - like some kaleidoscopic observation - she might puzzle him without dissecting his brain to ruin. She had had her fair share of apprentices. But none quite so very interesting.

She would enjoy hurting him when the time came for his ascension.

“Let us see,” she murmured back, though this close he would see she was pleased.

Within moments they were down on the planet’s surface, the snow crunching under her boots as she stepped from the ship and slipped her helmet over her head. No fanfare, no showmanship - just there to move inwards from the edges of her web towards the city at its center. Thainbroek glowed just near enough to seem a prize though they'd landed some distance from it and as quiet as they’d appeared to land she hoped to do lasting damage - perhaps poison the well? Silence had many options.

Winding through tree cover and down the embankment towards the city below, she heard the roar of an army egged on by some fearless leader carried over snow. She felt in the web of thousands of minds presented like a topographical map of her mentalism a thousand things - defiance, bravery, confusion, a dogged determination. Her experience with the Silver Jedi made her wise. She did not take them for fools - to do so would make her the fool. They were brave and willing to defend themselves. But still, in that web of emotion, she found the thread of fear she would tug until it all unraveled.

She didn't say anything as he monologued to himself or when he warned the forces here to not be over-confident about the natives. In her opinion, that went without saying considering this place seemed likely to breed hard men and women, ready for battle. She merely tossed the ball into the air and caught it again, her aura in the Force giving nothing away. She had learned the game from a master of it.

"Lead on, it's your party," she said, indicating with her hand to go along with her words. "I'm merely here to make sure you don't go and get killed or captured."

Once he began moving she would follow him, and all the while that ball would keep going up and down into the palm of her hand.

As she brought her vessel closer to the earth, the snow covered treetops shook as Lyra thundered towards the blinking indicator on her holo-view of the terrain. As she weaved around an errant peak a high pitched chime sounded in the cockpit. A return message? That was unexpected. Oh. Oh that was the person on the other end asking if she got the message. Quickly she manipulated the communications gear, flipping a few switches and keying up on the same channel. From a few old manuals she'd read something about radio procedure, but she doubted any of that really mattered here, though she gave it her best shot.

::Anooba I, almost to you...::
Instead of continuing the transmission, Lyra's grasp was let loose as she fumbled for the controls, a loud roar of engines as she slammed the power control forward. In her lackadaisical monitoring of her readouts, she'd actually already come up on the coordinates and regrettable - overtaken them. So much for subtle. Cutting her engines to half, she spun the vessel around, eyes searching for a place to land - an eye roll as she realized she'd probably be mocked for her lack of piloting skills - oh well. A quick survey of the nearby terrain revealed a small copse just large enough to drop the ship down into, from the sky it would likely even meld into the terrain - something that could be useful should any enemy ships happened to fly over, though that seemed unlikely. They yet had a distance to travel to the city.

::...woops, sorry. ::

In a sweeping maneuver, she brought the vessel to a hover, slowly and clumsily bringing the ship down into the small clearing, managing to keep from knocking any trees over. Cutting the engines and deactivating the ship's running systems she unclipped the straps and rose, ducking into the rear portion of the vessel quickly to retrieve her gear. No doubt Anooba I would be at her location within the minute, and while she was almost sure that it was one of the other Sith, she still didn't want to be caught off guard - it was her first experience meeting another of the Sith aside from Tirdarius. Retrieving a small pack and a utility belt, she grabbed her equipment and quickly entered the numeric code that opened the small bulkhead door panel. With a short hiss it opened and the girl nimbly hopped out, landing softly with a quiet crunch of snow beneath her boots.

Cold. Already she could feel and hear the wind whistling through the trees, with no more than a single shiver she pulled her robes around her tightly, the thickened fabric keeping out most of the wind but still she thought of Oricon - such a vast difference between it and Midvinter. Taking a quick look around her, she turned back to the hull of her vessel, opening a small cargo compartment to retrieve just a few more pieces of equipment before she left - she paid close attention, listening for the hum of the speeder and huddled figure she'd buzzed by mistake..

With a spin, Jorryn draped the cape over her shoulders. The materials of this outfit were heavier than her usual combat armour, but it would keep the cold out well enough if she used her Tapas skills properly. It was the first time she had been off Ruusan in a long time, leaving her former master's compound when she couldn't tolerate his pacifistic views any more. Even then the few planets that she had travelled to were more controlled climates, often on the more mild temperature side. Needless to say the amount of snow coming down was a bit disconcerting for her, causing her to wonder why the Jedi order that called this place home didn't bother settling a planet with a more comfortable climate. Oh well, She thought to herself as she hooked her lightsaber to her belt, Let the fools freeze.

The intercom lit up, taking her mind off of the weather. "We will be reaching the target area soon, Ma'am. The other two acolytes have already landed."

Jorryn let out a small disappointed sigh as she pulled on her boots, she preferred the company of Lords to that of acolytes. So often they were lowly upstarts, beggars with a hint of being gifted with the force believing that this small amount of talent would allow them to climb the ranks of the Sith. To be sure there were other acolytes that deserved their place in the order like Jorryn did, but those were few and far between.

She made her way towards the bay door of her shuttle as they pulled down near a small clearing where another vessel had landed, using the natural camouflage of the surroundings to hide their vehicles. A quick peek out of the view port to her side told Jorryn that the battle had just began to start and she hadn't missed much of the action, though the visibility was limited because of the snowfall. The keep of Tháinbroek loomed in the distance, the only thing clearly visible through the limited figures that Jorryn could make out.

The shuttle hovered near where the other ship had landed, blowing snow up from under the vehicles outwards. Jorryn shielded her face from the blizzard as the bay door lowered, allowing the snow to fly towards her. Sharpening her eyes, Jorryn made out the two figures of the other acolytes that had arrived before her as she dropped from the bay door landing with a satisfying crunch of snow beneath her boots. Jorryn turned and gave a nod to her pilot, signalling him to turn and take the shuttle back to the flag ship until it was needed by her again, before she continued towards the figure on the speeder. Unfortunately Jorryn has underestimated the coldness of Midvinter, even with her heavy cloth and Tapas skills the cold air still managed to seep through and raise goosebumps on her back. Doing her best to ignore the intense wind and cold Jorryn made her way through the snow, eventually making the figures out as a man and a girl about her height.

It was hard to remember he wasn’t in charge anymore. He wasn’t leading forces in battle, or giving orders. He was literally at the bottom of a vicious and unforgiving and relentless food-chain, made worse by [member="Coci Heavenshield"] throwing him back down the ladder in the ways of the Force.

But he was here, now, with that burning ember inside ready to be unleashed as best he could. He would prove to nobody but himself that he was destined to one day lead dark forces into battle. For now, he walked with purpose down the green and white plain towards the city where the sounds of battle were starting to erupt.

Figures could be see within the walls and beyond them, with ships starting to move through the atmosphere.

Holding his cloak down with one hand, he kept the other on the lightsaber Abyss had given him, and Eldahh by his side.

"You just watch my back and I’ll watch yours. Don’t give them an inch," he said without looking to her, but knowing she would gladly do just that.

After a few steps, he broke into a gentle run, keeping low and heading to the far edge of the outer wall on the opposite side to where the ships were.

"Do as much damage as you can, and break as many spirits as possible."

Jadis twirled her Force Pike like a baton as she walked along with her convoy of tanks and biot infantry to go cover one of the chokepoints established by General Isard. More than a few had asked the Padawan why she carried a pike in place of a lightsaber, which were as plentiful as pieces of candy. She would only tell them that it felt more comfortable to wield. She liked the small heft that came from the counterweight of the pike, she said.

Comfortable, and efficient. In the time it took the average lightsaber wielder to swing their blade, she could already have her opponents' armor punctured, flesh gashed open, limbs reduced to stumps of gristle. All it took were a few precise flicks. This was not an elegant weapon, but in such an uncivilised age, it was the best tool for the job.

Such candidness would have probably drawn suspicion from her peers as their ranks were plagued by corruption. After all, she was supposed to be Jadis Branco, an (bored) ethnic Jedi from theocratic Nibelugen. A paragon of all that it meant to be a chaste servant of the Light.

Closer to the wall of interlocked Jericho, she would pass under the long shadows of the titanic warships. They almost filled her view with their vastness. Another large shadow was cast over Tháinbroek by a warship directly overhead, projecting a planetary grade shield that could tank through barrages of entire fleets. In short order, the Silver Jedi had erected a mighty fortress that would deter all but the most confident, or the most reckless. Which one of those were the Sith today?

Perhaps the latter, she considered as she felt the faint vibrations of impact through her power armor from the constant bombardment of Sith forces on the ground by capital ships in orbit, fighters and gunships in the sky, and artillery on the ground. What of their legions of drones and sycophants would survive such onslaught as they finally reached the walls?

Hopefully enough to keep her entertained. She would always remain a friend to the Silver Jedi for their boundless kindness and hospitality when she had hit rock bottom, but she hadn't joined the Silver Order under an alias for any high-minded ideals. Such reverence for virtue and order had died with the Republic. Reverting back to her old self, she was just here to have a good time and see all the new toys and tricks the Sith had trotted out for the next act of their sick love affair with the Silver Jedi. She would ensure the snowy plains would be stained with the blood of Sith, but only for her pleasure.

"It will be alright." She said it to the one who had arrived and brought them so many nice walkers, as the walls of the ships around the city continued with the large shield over it and the Dymo classes taking defensive positions to protect the shield carriers. The squadrons were flying in a protective formation over head when she remained there. The interior between the jericho wall and the walls of the city where the massive millipede walkers could patrol. Designed to go around, it was like a hulking great beast they would be able to use for protection as a third or even fourth line. "Commander we are reading indications on the sensors. Positive contacts" She remained there looking out from the command post while the prefab wall modules were being done still, set into place for cover against the ship and basically to give more direct fire lines. The scanners were showing others starting to arrive and the scout snipers and ranger's that had been sent out and on the ridgelines were marking the locations to show targets for them. "We have sensor information and data coming in, small groups on proximity that were going through the mountain and the snow. No major reports of movement yet, prep work has begun on stage two defenses." She had a few ideas of what would come from stage two and there was a chance stage three might be ready and prepared.

Willa grinning under her mask as the secondary set up was being done, something to add to it, a kilometer inside the exterior walls with choke points and walkers was the city with its walls and defenses. Plenty of space and pill boxes were being set up. The early alert system and all of the stations to see and monitor in a net work had given them time. Now a kilometer from the exterior walls that was being set and reinforced now connecting with the mountains and where they had been setting up defenses was a second wall of Jericho classes coming down. Making a lot of snow and kicking it up to obscure the area as the ships continued to move around and into position. Sensor readings from people traveling around in the snow where they were setting it all down. "What are they looking like?" The ranger's with her as they moved on the small gunboat traveling over the snow to one of the walls with gunners set up so that they would be able to have clear lines of sight and their own shields set up. "All valkyri forces, beorni scouts and teams are reporting in and staying clear of approaching. Anything left is suspected as a hostile force as they are not using chevron encoding or teams." Willa nodded her own agreement switching it out and going to coms.

"Scout teams report." Staying there while she listened. "Alpha team, spotted two coming from the mountains [member="Matsu Xiangu"] & [member="Korog Zordaal"] near secondary exterior wall. Sensor tracking has them coming from embankment." She set about using the tactical map for the ones here with her. "Bravo team reporting three [member="Jorryn Fordyce"], [member="Lyra Naerys"] and [member="Vitor Avendahl"] east of the city near exterior walls. Jericho classes are set up and secure in place." She acknowledged it with the beep while more of the ranger's were preparing when it came on the coms. "Charlie reporting, two [member="Eldaah Aderyn"] & [member="Connor Harrison"] in the mountains near exterior wall." The flood of other reports came in. "Delta has sight on ships being brought down by the sith forces." It was in the distance and the ships and stations that were here would still be targeting and handling it. Even then once they had landfall and were coming, there was enough going into the area. More accurate target painting that they would be able to do from the ships when the squadrons flew overhead collecting sensor data and information. "Epsilon setting up and observing mountain passes. Jericho class ships continuing to set up and form small secondary blocks."

There was also that, aside from the walls of the ships that were interlocking and getting vehicle, trooper and walker support they were also setting up in the mountains the ships to block entry to further protect and funnel. Just approaching an area with a large selection of death and destruction as the option when you try and get close enough to get through thick alusteel was not going to be an entirely fun process so more sniper teams and more divisions on the ridgelines where she could see them. She hadn't heard from whatever was the medical groups and nothing from the records they had that would indicate they were legit yet. Willa continued to prepare herself though standing there waiting when the running lights along the side of the ship came into view in the distance making and matching the now middle layer of wall. "Start setting up and preparing, I want trenches and emplacement turrets set up for us here with armor support." She was indicating it with her hand while securing the sniper rifle for a moment. Allowing the force to guide her and prepare for the shots when going out and searching quickly. Just like on Felucia and Rhen Var or Toola they knew how to work fast and efficiently to prepare quick forward outposts as the high gravity traps were being prepared around mines.

"The grav traps pull force in and the mines create maximum damage ensuring we can get several at a time." Willa gave a nod and spoke. "Yes we used it to protect the interior zone between the first and second walls on Felucia and the outpost we created on Hast." There was a small glint in her eyes though preparing for more of it and they would get a small chance to push off while preparing more. "Commander the fleet it reporting less movement, proceed with standard operating procedures per Admiral Sala'dine?" She had to think about it and in a manner it was a plan that only a few liked but it also worked to stagger and set up. "proceed, ensure all forces know and that we have patrol ships ready. I want them ready to move." She could see parts of it and the massive carrier that had brought the battalions to the surface was empty now. returning to a deep orbit where they would need it possibly. Other plans with what they were doing coming in as she approved it for continuation in the field. "Lieutenant prepare a small team, I want the area beyond the exterior wall mined and trapped before we proceed and continue to bring in a second shield carrier while a small grouping of the carracks set up and run coverage scans overhead. I want as many information sources as possible."

She was getting clicks of confirmation as more reports were coming in. "Commander this is theta squad we are in the city and living modules have been set up per disaster protocols. Food production, water recycling and cleaning as well as clean up is online. The locals might not like it but they understand the dangers and know the tactics that can be employed during sieges. Barricades within the city itself are being set up and reinforcements on the city walls and doors. We have begun secondary protocols for it with the locals to protect the children. The high king has his plans and we are doing everything we can to support it while protecting him. Any reinforcements and information that can be given for outposts has been deemed important and need to know. We'll encrypt it and allow Grandmaster Thurion and master Coci to give out on encrypted channels." She could see that, this world had a great deal of work and places on it that the two of them had discovered, it gave the jedi an advantage here on the planet and the for lack of a better term chance to break the ice her with the locals. Willa only needed to know if there were going to be dangerous problems as the construction efforts continued for them with everything that they were doing here. She had a plan to try and protect them or help them at least.

Willa rolled her shoulders and her neck in the armor before looking out with the range finder where she wanted to see out there and the ranger teams in the armored transports were going out to set up and start preparing the prefab walls and chokepoints. Cannons able to be concentrated on the area's while the cover that they would have on the surface of the ships itself. The sleek alusteel that was there and the guns revving up to start going after any of the people that approached and attacked. Without the indicators from the wrist pads that were made to be used by them and tracked by the computer it shut down a lot of the more dangerous parts. She could see some of the shuttles landing from the ships when fighters, bombers and interceptors soured over head making smaller runs to force what they could out into the main area in front of the wall itself. Where there was a large open area of cannon fire. "Commander reports are coming in from a number of sources. She could see where they were starting to set it up, the cradles of the Jericho that were double setting it up. A place so the main exterior wall was two layered jericho classes providing the ranger's with a high area of coverage and line of sight. Willa knew they were working on it and getting parts of it set up so the interlocking ships had coverage from the dymo classes and connected to the shield carrier for protection.

They were getting as many thing here set up as they could with the people on the sensors that could be a risk but getting through the ships wouldn't be a horrible thing as one of the captains spoke. "Commander we are in position." She just clicked to confirm it by pressing her chin to her sternum before looking over tot he side. She knew sensing or trying to find it wouldn't work. the jelly was important to it, securing it from others so that it wouldn't be able to be seen. Willa wanted to see out into the snow fall before she spoke over the comlink tot he others. "We have a lot of work to do but I want phase three of the defenses to be ready to go as soon as possible, defensive towers and anti infantry turrets going in. Flame units ready on the small points." She was getting some looks as interlocking the cradles secured them a lot more, making less space unless they wanted it to be an open area where people might be able to get through. Eliminated and made parts of it possibly more appealing as the interlocking areas on the exterior wall except where they wanted the entrance ways could be filled with defenses to funnel and continue to make a larger force into something smaller and more manageable. They were making a corridor of defense turrets and the auto turrets here could be set up more to cover a wider area.

Willa moved around the command post as she was joined by one of the large Beorni, some fo the jedi that were with them. Clad in the silver jedi robes, a green robed matukai who was here to join some fo the others. They all had a vested interest in working with the valkyri who was here providing information tot hema nd getting parts out. He would report the the high king and others what was going on out here while he looked around at the massive walls they had done and could see the secondary exterior walls that would be set up, prepared and twice the size. with more defenses that they would be able to use. She could see some wonder in their eyes but also the interest that came from being here in the eye of the storm and there was so much more that was going to make this place calm and focused. Big interest, the walkers for defense, the gnat runners that were literally able to move from here, to the city and exterior walls quickly and fairly effortlessly thanks to their speed and attack the more dangerous things if they were needed. it was nice to have fast mobile tanks that were working in conjunctions with the speeders and the transports to cover the two zones of defense. Where everything was going to be coming through and filling up the fields. "These are the reports for the Grandmaster and high king."

"The man was looking at him and gave a nod fo his head. "I shall see that they get it personally commander Isard." he was tall, his voice was deep and they were moving off. "I'll want the sentinels ready to move in if we need to engage them in melee combat. These areas where there as small open areas and blindspots we can set up gnats and walkers but not get the turrets to touch exactly. These will be where you want to focus your attention and work on, the Beorni will be assisting and I have something special for them. We have aerial units in the form of our fighters that can provide targeting runs when you mark a target area. The generators and missiles are strong enough to tear them apart but aren't going to be large enough to cause permanent damage." She got some looks but there was understanding as all of them set out scattering. "Report, any more movement?" There was small thing, some here and there but nothing was getting a chance to approach the city that easily now. Generally small groups would want to evade but their snipers had the range to track with their rifles from across the mountains and there was the biots that didn't tire able to keep tracking them. She was getting whatever status updates and reports there might be while speaking. "I want some of the jedi to do something else as well you know those glaives."

A plan was forming in her mind where she wanted to be able to set up all of it but the glaives, the work that they would be able to do with them would set itself up as more of an improved area. If they could get them near the walls and have small teams of jedi who were being joined by the small teams of rangers. It was going a long way and the jedi if they had the glaive could set traps for the sith, leaving the ranger's to handle the situation and protect them. "We'll work on them, setting all of them up until coordinated. We might not even need it but the defenses here should easily be able to hold them back with the thick hull and turrets. The squadrons were flying overhead when they continued to report in, the pilots were coming up for the walkers that Honoko had brought with her to reinforce them. They had more information from the different teams coming in as well as second command that were coming in from the carrier marching under cover. The ranger's eyes squinted here before looking out at everything. With a few more ideas in her mind for what would be phase three of the plans when the shield carrier was moving and positioning itself above the other to multi layer what they were doing here. Setting up with the dymo classes between them to better protect where it would have its squadrons flying off.

"Commander reports from engineers, phase two is nearly completion and prep work has begun for phase three with stuttering and construction efforts. staging frigates are working while flower support from ships have been deployed. Registering one hundred and eighty to provide information to us as well as setting up advanced aerial staging. it will be in a small clearing to the south and able to refuel, rearm and repair minor damage as needed for the squadrons. We have tems expanding and being joined by secondary teams and jedi guardians for full combat capabilities." She nodded in confirmation. "Very good lieutenant, keep it going and see that as soon as it can be phase three is begun. engage any hostile forces that are encountered and I want those constructs ready as we need them. See about more speeders and walkers with the armor divisions as well as more auto turrets. Send some of the military class ones up to the mountain passes where they can do the most damage." She got clicks of confirmation before the first sounds of of something were there. She didn't see something bad with it, she could see something else there as one fo the larger beorni came about standing next to her and while dwarfing her she couldn't be certain about the battle ahead.

"You have done something quickly that many might not have thought was possible, impressive work commander." He said it with a purr to his voice and there was the thickness to his voice. It was something you could expect from him while he gripped a massive war hammer and was wearing some of the individual pieces of armor that Sasori produced. A way for her vanguards who could smash and tackle the largest and strongest things that might be coming after them. His warhammer was just a beast of a weight when she spoke letting her voice come out fo the helmet. "It is what the ranger's and the silver order have prepared for, the supplies that go to work on many of the things. for this. rapid deployment, set up and make it so that we can take it away when the operation is done. It might not be perfect but I like to make sure my soldiers know what they are doing." She stuck around though also seeing some of the more dangerous prospects of this as it would be something they'd have to discuss with the high king later. if midvinter was going to become after a time a target for many things or people, if this was going to open up and make it more known to others then they might need to upgrade in terms of protection for the planet itself when she prepared for the next phase of the plan.

News of an attack took some time to reach Beorni, and it was news he did not want to hear. Immediately after he heard he had made his way to the planet of Midvinter, though he came too late to help against the initial invasion. Aboard a cramped freighter he had convinced a pilot to take him in he sat, his eyes shut and his head down, trying to hear through the Force. All he was met with was a cloud of the Dark side obscuring his ability to sense what might be going on. Calder could only sigh as he hoped his people would be fine.

Soon enough his ship dropped out of hyperspace just outside of the fleets waging their war. Thankfully, the small ship was able to navigate it's way through and down to the planet below, though not without any damage. Calder's ship would crash land farther away from the city by where a trio of Sith were meeting, throwing the bear from his seat and to the floor.

"Ragin, are you alright?" Calder had finally found his legs after the initial throw forward, standing up in the cramped ships as different systems began to short out and spark. "Yeah, I'm alright. The ship ain't though. You go do what you gotta do, I'll try and get this in working order in case we have to get."

"Very well." The Beorni didn't know enough about ships or technology to be of much help after all. With a massive fur covered hand he grabbed the Icehammer, and stepped out into the cold. A happy sigh escaped his lips as he stepped out of the cramped wreckage and into such familiar territory. It was home again, and the joyous sound of snow crunching under his feet made him smile.

As he looked to the horizon however, that smile faded. To the east stood the capital of Midvinter, and the echos of war and death were easily felt. Without anymore delay the bear man took off in a run, hoping to make it in time to assist the Valkyri.

Silas did not share his companions' joy.

Not yet, anyway.

When Onley asked him to join this battle he agreed to it immediately. To shed some blood, to let the fires of their resolve burn across this city of Jedi, to prove themselves worthy in battle... there wasn't much better than that.

But right before a battle Silas grew strangely introspect. Maybe it was prior experiences or maybe it was simply a form of respect for death, that would eventually come to them all. Either way, as he sat on one of the chairs, silently sharpening the edge of his axe, he mumbled to himself.

Incantations in Ysannan, twisted High Sith words that would strengthen their resolve, keep their blades sharp and their instincts sharper in the next few hours.

"Do not let yourself get separated." The man cautioned quietly, to temper their enthusiasm. "They have the numbers, we have the surprise."

At the back of his throat he could feel the hunger clawing. Onley would be able to feel it radiating from his friend- that barely restrained desire to start cutting, ripping and tearing, until there was only blood and pain.

But Silas kept himself under control for now.

There would be enough time to lose himself in battle once they were there.

Moving to the location she got into position for when the Sith came. along with her several squads of local troops joined to prevent access by enemy forces. ---

There was Death on the wind.

Imperia could feel it in her soul, just the same as Onley's...eccentric brother could. And much like him, her urge to crush, to kill, and to dominate was tempered, contained. Not by caution or by wariness, however.

No, she restrained herself for reasons of style.

It would be so utterly boring if the squad simply dropped in. No, no. Such an important occasion called for a bit of panache. A dash of theatrics, a touch of flair.

Imperia, still standing on the bridge, reached out with the Force to commune with the Darkness of this planet. It was weak, true, and that was a pity; but the Dark Side could never be killed, and it could never truly be contained. After today, it would shroud the planet in its morbid, twilit splendor.

And the perfect place to start was...?

Ah.

A huddled mass of people, hidden in the forest. Likely a refugee camp, taking shelter in the hopes that the approaching Sith would either spare them, or simply not notice them. Imperia would've found it endearing, if it wasn't utterly stupid. Had the cowards had anything resembling a brain, they would've realized that submission was key to their survival. Oh, well. One couldn't expect too much of the common animal.

The poor dears. At least their deaths would serve a purpose.

Imperia barked a command to her pilot, who navigated the ship was cold efficiency, guided by his Mistress's instruction. A few short moments later, and the impromptu camp the Knight had detected grew dark, its meager light eclipsed by the form of the Jen'Midwan above it.

"It seems, my friends, that a few of our opposition thought it wise to hide in the forest," began Imperia, the eagerness apparent in her voice. Calling one of her lightsabers to her right hand, she activated and twirled the crimson blade with a flick of the cybernetic wrist. A gesture from her left hand, and the ship's ramp lowered itself. Heeled boots clacked against the metal, and cold, bitter wind whipped against her armored form. Crimson arcs of light danced across her left hand as she turned her back on the open air.

"I think we should drop by and correct that foolish assumption."

One single step backwards, and Imperia quite literally dropped into the camp, her fall broken by a combination of the Force and the man she landed upon. A flick of the wrist, and the woman nearest Imperia was suddenly a head shorter, cranium dislodged from the skull courtesy of a blood red plasma beam.

This was already so much better than sitting around on Rhelg.

RENDEZVOUS POINT
EAST OF THAINBROEK

Vitor had been first to arrive with his speeder bike at the meeting point. He had been scanning the area from the vantage point that this location offered using the integrated macrobinoculars in his helmet. The battle seemed to be going at full force where the bulk of the attackers and defenders were. Good. It meant less attention to cells such as this one that could operate freely when the defenders were focused on repelling the ferocity of the invading Sith.

The low altitude flying ship that landed inadequately close by signaled the first of the two other Sith that were to arrive here. It was almost momentarily after that when a shuttle landed close to the first ship before taking off again that carried apparently the second Sith. The young businessman had turned his attention away from zooming into the horizon to the two female figures that approached him.

:: One would think you'd check the weather of a planet which you planned to invade. :: Vitor raised his eyebrow beneath his helmet as he spoke through the com. He did not pause and directly went to the point loyal to his personality and lack of great social skills. :: The name's Vitor. A ship just crashed less than a click away from here. No Sith IFF tags. It happens to be on our way to Thainbroek. ::

"If we don't hurry, we'd end up being pinned here and away from any relevant location where we could actually do something meaningful for the war efforts." Vitor finally spoke through the helmet's annunciator as they were close enough to hear. He had realized how much he had picked up from Lieutenant Stirok after this six months of boot camp.
