Operation Black Guard

Feeto was steadily becoming more and more skeptical of Darren as he continued to speak. He was expected to believe that this rogue Jedi was breaking into the room of a master Jedi because he didn't remember that particular master Jedi. Further, this was somehow supposed to correlate with a pending attempt on the Chancellor's life. This had to have been some kind of joke. Maybe Darren would tell the one about the one-armed Wampa next.

Feeto narrowed his eyes when Darren claimed he could have wiped his memory. He took that as a threat. The fact that he was also basically suggesting Feeto could be a pawn for Darren's schemes didn't sit well either.

"You don't get to know my name." Feeto answered flatly. That wasn't how this worked. "Explain to me how not remembering one Jedi master out of hundreds gives you probable cause to ransack his room. Now."

Darren was wroth about the Rodan demanding to know what he was doing! the rodan couldnt see it under his helmet but Darren was fuming at him. taking a sec to breath and not to slice him open and felay him like a dinner entre he answered "I learned through out the years that there is no coincidence. I remember everybody that was at the Temple except for him. This is my job. and you have yours. now will you let me contiue or shall i have to call down the Chancellor himself from his buisness to come and tell one of his Securty guards that im okay to do what i want?" And darren as willing to do that. this rodan was insultijg him by not trusting him.

The Rodian scoffed, and he made sure Darren saw it. This man provided a simple ID card and nothing else. There was no indication at all that this man was who he said he was. If the Chancellor had failed to inform his rank-and-file security that there would be a private investigator with free reign running around the palace, that was his problem. Right now, Feeto was doing his job and he'd be damned if some renegade Jedi was going to pull the wool over his eyes.

"Must've been a small temple. Anyway, I'm sure all of what you've said is completely true." Feeto said, getting sarcastic. "I bet you've also got some kind of proof that you're the Chancellor's employee. You also have some kind of legal permission to go around breaking into people's rooms without getting a warrant, I'm sure. Go ahead, show them to me."

Frankly, if Darren wanted to pull the Chancellor out of his important affairs, it would be Darren's skin- not Feeto's. It was their own damn fault for not making anyone else aware of the situation. Perhaps that bluff would've worked on someone else, but Feeto was either far too wise or far too bold to care. He stood adamant and unmoving in his resolve.

Darren knew that the bluff wouldnt work but he did have proof. "Mia Monroe, if you dont believe me i will go talk to her with you. im wasting my time doing this. Ill even walk in front of you, Master." he was absoultly done dealing with this rodan. he put so much sarcsum in to his word if they were droll they would be spilling out of his mouth. he started to walk foward and when he was slightly past the rodan he swiftly turned around and balled his fist up and was amming at the side of the rodans neck. hitting a bundle o nerves causing him to drop like a bag of rocks.

Feeto rolled his eyes. This kid was running out of excuses, he could hear it in his voice. Even if he did hide behind a mask, Feeto was perceptive enough to know. Who the hell was Mia Monroe, anyway? No one he'd ever heard of, that's for sure. Unless it turned out she was actually the Chancellor, then there wasn't really anything that random individual could do to sway Feeto either.

"Right. I'm not going anywhere with you." Feeto responded, noting Darren's failure to remain consistent with his assertion that he was on the Chancellor's payroll. "Go ahead and talk to Mia. Maybe she'll be a better liar than your sorry-"

Before Feeto could finish his sentence, Darren had caught him off guard. Feeto hadn't expected Darren to resort to violence so quickly, and so was completely vulnerable to the well-placed punch. As one would expect, Feeto was sent sprawling backwards, twisting and collapsing on his stomach. He erupted into a flurry of hacking coughs as he caressed his now-aching neck.

Darrens lightsaber seamed to fly to his hand and it ignited to a white blade he pointed it towards the rodan just inches from his chest. "I wouldnt move if I were you." Darren growled at the rodan. he took off his helmet and looked in to the rodans eyes saying "Look into my eyes and see that i am not playing around you fool. Look at my face and see if i am amused by your idiotcy. I will not hesetate to kill you here and now."

Darren was absoutly mad at him. he replaced his helmet on to his head and then he turned off his blade and returned it to his belt. still looking at the rodan Darren said "Get into the room or you will end up with a face that is not your own" He felt darkness with in himself doing this but the Rodan was bothering him. and nothing stands in his way when he needs to acomplish a task.

Feeto's eyes widened as the lightsaber came close to his chest. This was too close, but it finally made clear Darren's intentions. This man was a lunatic, a homicidal maniac. And on top of that, he was some kind of renegade Jedi. This entire situation was beyond bad for Feeto, but he still kept his poker face on. He wasn't about to let himself be intimidated by this guy, even if he held Feeto's life in his hands. No, this Rodian had more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Feeto remained completely silent as Darren spoke, finally exhaling and relaxing a bit when the lightsaber was put away.

Feeto warily got to his feet, adjusting his helmet. He made a subtle gesture as he did so, one that was largely unnoticeable but would have considerable ramifications in the near future. He held his hands up halfway, indicating his surrender. Even now, Feeto did not stop speaking. Perhaps Feeto was truly reckless to not realize how dire his situation was. Then again, perhaps there was a reason for his defiance in a situation that clearly did not favor him.

"You're taking me hostage? Are you insane? You think you can hold a security guard hostage on the second floor of the royal palace and get away with it? You're a horrible Jedi. What the hell do you think you're even going to accomplish, keeping me in Master Ian's room? Fine, I'll head in, but you'll be sorry."

As the two walk in to the room Darren then says. "No I actualy am quite sane. i want you to give me any com links you have and you will give me your ID card." Darren then used the force to close the door with a slight hiss. locking it so the rodan couldnt escape. he walked over to the rodan to retreve the items that he requested.

Darren knew that the rodan wouldnt give him all of the coms and he was betting on it. he had a plan to slightly expose the mystierous jedi and get rid of this scum rodan who clearly did not know who had the upper hand here. it didnt matter if the rodan tried to beat Darren. with the force and his strength he could subdue him. but that was not to come..... yet.

Feeto removed the comlink from his helmet. In truth, that was the only one he had with him, but that didn't matter. It had already served its purpose. He forked over both the device and the all-access card he'd been given as temporary member of the security team at the palace without a fight. There was no way Feeto could get the jump on this guy. It was close quarters in Ian's room, so even if Feeto did manage to unholster his blaster pistol before Darren lopped an arm off, the Jedi would likely deflect any blaster bolts back his way. Still, despite his dire situation, Feeto was incredibly relieved. The Jedi had completely failed to realize what the Rodian had already done.

Feeto had no reason to try and keep his comlink. Why? Because he had already used it. One subtle gesture was all it took to turn the device on. It was already patched into the security network of the palace. When Feeto last spoke to Darren, he had alerted the entire security team guarding the palace that a Jedi was holding Feeto hostage on the second floor of the palace, inside Master Ian's room.

"Go on, Jedi. Unravel the byzantine conspiracy against the Chancellor using the oodles of evidence from this room. I'm sure the results would be fruitful."

Truly, the Rodian's sarcasm never left him.

Darren didnt want anybody listing in on thier conversation so he steped on the com link breaking it. he took the cards and place them in his utitly belt. he then saw that the rodan still had his blaster and used force grab to remove it from him. Darren didnt want to give the rodan any chances. unlocking the door again he steped out side and felt a group of peopel rusing up the stairs. The rodan had somehow signaled thme about what was happening. he went over to the odan again and wiped his mind and saying "I was never here. and you were talking to your self about some story that you have read."

Darren started to pulled out cabnets and pulling off the pictures from the wall and then proceded to yank off one of the vent covers. He was trying to make it look like the rodan did all of this. ransacking the place as if he was searching the room for some valuables. and since he didnt have any ID he would be taken away. in the prosses the masters room would have to be looked at by securty. and possably exposing something that he may need he grabed the naboo foldable.

Darren was about to leave the room when he came to the rodan again and said with as much force persuation he could "You ransacked the place looking for important documents. You will keep looking untill people arive."

Feeto folded his arms, only visibly reacting to when Darren snatched his pistol from him with the force, and even then it was merely an annoyed scowl. This guy was not only insane, but he was sloppy. There was absolutely no sign of consistency in anything he did. Had circumstances not lead them to this point, Feeto likely would have pitied the man. However, that was not the case. Instead, Feeto was fantasizing about when the renegade Jedi would either be gunned down or taken prisoner. Feeto's daydreaming broke when Darren came back up to him in an attempt to addle his mind. Feeto merely looked skeptical. Mind tricks, especially those from apprentices, were really only susceptible to the weak minded.

Feeto, being a cunning spacer with a high degree of skill in droid engineering, was not weak minded.

"What are you talking about? You're right here."

The renegade Jedi turned away from him again after that, beginning to pull apart cabinets and generally ransack the entire room. Feeto merely watched with what could be described as a bemused look for a Rodian. While the rogue Jedi was busy tearing apart the room, Feeto discretely picked up a small statuette. Though the thing was small and relatively unornate, it would definitely pack a punch if someone were to, say, smack it against the side of someone's head. Feeto held the statuette behind his back while Darren continued to ravage the room.

Eventually, as Feeto expected, Darren got right back in his face to try and mess with Feeto's head.

"You realize there's probably a hidden camera in here, right?"

Without waiting for Darren to respond, Feeto swung the statuette like a club, straight for the side of Darren's head. While the helmet would prevent Darren from losing consciousness, the rouge Jedi would definitely be daze, not to mention his helmet would certainly be damaged by the sheer force of the strike if it hit.

instantly after the rodan said something about the cameras he swung his hand around to meet his head. Being suprised that he would do that shocked him, and he was hit upside the head with some hard object.

he was dased from the blow to the head and need to fight back. he stood up as fast as he could. using a force push he used both hands to push the rodan up agenst the wall. gropping at his helmet where he was just hit he yelled "AAAARRRGG" keeping him there he switched to use force choke.

Darren was absoulty mad. his tricks did not work and was oblivously wasting his time. saying "Night Night Rodan." as he tightend his grip around the rodans neck just enought to knock him out but not enought to kill him. Darren didnt like to kill some one when he didnt have to.

Before Feeto could relish his small victory, he was thrown against the wall by a powerful blast of energy. The force of his impact knocked the wind out of him, but he managed to keep his fingers hooked around the small statuette. For a moment, the force holding him against the wall slacked, and Feeto thought he might fall. However, this was quickly replaced by a new force that tightened around his neck and continued to keep him immobilized. Feeto struggled and writhed, gasping for air. This was it, it would seem. Feeto Chivaro, strangled to death by a rouge Jedi.

No, Feeto wouldn't go that easy. He had some fight left in him, even if it was only a small amount. In a last ditch attempt to by time for the Naboo Security Force to arrive and apprehend Shaw, Feeto mustered what strength he had left and flung the statuette at Darren's helmeted face. Regardless of whether the statuette found its mark or not, Feeto would not be awake to reap the benefits, or receive the consequences if that were the case. Almost immediately after, he went limp and lost consciousness.

Darren was hit smack in the face by the statue the rodan flung at him. dropping the rodan he fellt to the floor with a thump. lookimg to see if there was anydamage done to his helm he saw that it was scrached on the righside from top to bottom. ugh darren thought to himself now thats going to annoy me. he grabed some curtains and wraped up the rodan in them and placed him in the bathroom. he went and tried to pick every thing up.

"Damn why is it i have to be so clumbsy about this stuff?" Darren muttered to himself. he picked everything up and was about to leave when he heard people rushing up the stairs. he quickly ran out locked the door and ran to the other side of the hall. he stoped at the door and joged towards the troops comming up at him.

he was going to try and make it seem like the Jedi was keeping the Rodan hostage but thougth twice about it. if he ust sent the msg about the kidnapping and the jedi is in the same room as the Chancellor it was not going to look good on his part so he ran to the room with the child and knocked on the door. the child opend the door and he said to the young one "may i come inside?" just as the guards came up the stairs towards the masters room.

While all the ruckus was going on in his room, Daxton waited for the Chancellor to introduce him to the young woman. Seeing that his mind was rather occupied, he shrugged in amusement and smiled, "Greetings young lady, May the Force be with you. I am Jedi Master Ian Moone, might I have the pleasure of knowing your name?"

“Indeed,” replied the Chancellor to Lady Vaniir, “here for the negotiations of the planet of Naboo joining the Republic.” The words left a bad taste in his mouth and his expression darkened briefly. Though he forced a smile “Fascinating people the Jedi are,” he said as Mia and Jedi Moone approached “but a little too secretive for my liking.”

He let the Jedi introduce himself, before responding for Lady Vaniir. “This is Lady Marishka Vaniir of Hapes.” He caught the look on Mia’s face and added “Excuse me a moment.” He said with a bow to the Lady Vaniir.

Stepping back he beckoned Mia. “What on earth is going on?” he asked her in a low voice, careful to ensure no one else heard.

Mia shrugged. “Darren suspects something. He believes that the Jedi is not who he says he, something to did with the fact he’s not seen him before. A very small suspicion and not much to go on if you ask me. Personally, I just don’t like him, but then I don’t really like any force users so I’m biased.” The comm in her ear exploded with chatter and she frowned. “A break in, in one of the palace apartments.” She told the Chancellor, who responded by making a noise of impatience.

“Go and tidy this mess up before it gets out of hand.”

“but-”

“Now” he growled.

Mia gave a stiff bow and left the party. The Chancellor rejoined the Jedi and Hapan, mood somewhat soured by the way the evening a panning out. “Tel me, my lady, have the Hapan’s also joined ranks with the republic, or are you, like us content to remain independent?”

Mia caught up with the guards outside the apartment, fast enough and having already met the squad leaders was greeted openly “Report?” she demanded as someone handed her a blaster. “Got a security alert from a patrol officer. Beacon leads here.”

“Who’s staying here?”

“uhhh….Jedi Master Moone.” replied another officer with a datapad in hand

Mia swore and stepped forward to hammer on the door, knowing full well who was in there. “Darren! Open this door NOW!”

[occ: darren is not in there.]
Darren had entered the room and he heard guards trying to open the door. when he heard a famiular voice say "Darren open this door NOW!" and he knew that he probably sould go forth.

Darren had exit the room and said "I am here. Mia" he steped fowared with his hands raised to show that he was not armed. the guards tried to rush him and he let them. but he was waiting for mia to tell the guards tto back off so he could explain. but if a single guard was going to take his lightsaber away from him. they were going to have to fight for their life.

[ooc: totally misread that :p my bad]

Mia looked from Darren who the guards were currently cuffing to the door of Jedi Moone's apartment, to Darren again. "Stand down." she said finally. "And get a key for this room now. I want a full report in half an hour of what's in there and two officers on each floor."

"Yes ma'am" Grabbing Darren's upper arm she marched him down the hall and out of sight of the other before slamming him against a wall and holding him there with an arm across his chest. "You better start explaining yourself quickly because I am not in good mood. If its bad enough that I have to wear a dress and play the obedient speak only when spoken to escort, I now have to explain to the Chancellor why you broke into Jedi Moone's room and don't try and tell me that you didn't because I am not stupid."

She released him and took a step back, taking deep breaths to calm herself down.

The guards released him and quicker than he thought, Mia grabed him so he and her could talk alone. he went in to explaining himself.

"Yes i was breaking in. i was stoped by a rodan who thought he could over rule me. he was going to report me in and if that happened the master would be rid of any and all suspicous acts, because i was breaking in. currently the rodan is knocked out on the bathroom floor wraped in some curtains." Pointing at his helmet. "He did this to me and so I knocked him out in self defence. while i was in the room looking for some intel i found this." Darren held up the trifold of Naboo. "Three places are marked on here. and i think thats suspision."

Darren then handed the trifold to Mia for her to keep it safe. "And if you want me to open the door again i can?" Darren said with some sarcasm.

Mia couldn't even work out why she was so angry, nor why she had taken this job in the first place and as the night was unfolding she found herself thinking more and more of what the credits were going to buy her in order to keep herself sane. Yet even as she stood with her eyes closed listening to Darren and thinking of all the good things this was going to get her she could not quell her anger.

"Of course he though he could rule over you" she snapped "You were breaking into an apartment!"

She took the trifold from him and then slapped him hard for the sarcastic comment, the sound resonated down the hall and made her feel a little better. "I'm pissed Darren. Don't push me." She looked at the trifold and then at Darren with an exasperated look. "What am I supposed to do with this!?" she said exasperatedly, gesturing at the dress and lack of ability to hide anything.

She shoved it back in his hand and the blaster she had been handed. "You look after these. Go and find a quiet corner to sit in and stay out of trouble. Don't do anything else without my say so. I will comm you when the party is over and you can present your case to the chancellor yourself because I am not taking the heat for this." She walked away leaving him there and heading back to the gathering.
