Operation Black Guard

"Come now, I already apologized for that. I had to make sure everything was secure and comfortable for you," the Corellian mentioned with a grin on his face. The words on his lips... a partial truth. With what she was wearing though it was not a surprise that he would need to touch or... grope here or there. He needed to be thorough and that was what he was doing. But of course.. Tali saw right through him, Garrus was an adept liar and good at the things he did but Tali always seemed to have the talent to see right through him. Maybe that was why he enjoyed working with her.

Hearing though that he would get more than what he bargained for and that he would not like it, he could only hope to grin. "I love it when you talk dirty," he said with soft chuckle as he followed his partner into the audience chamber, his face wiped clean of all amusement and from there he looked simply like he was the guard of the beautiful Hapan Lady. As such he was of course to announce her arrival like any good guard/herald.

"Allow me to introduce Lady Marishka Vaniir, of Hapes."

As the woman escorted his prey away, she would get a brief glimpse of his eyes boring in their direction in anger and hatred. But only for the briefest instances, then the Jedi's face was a placid mask once more, all calm and serene.

Glancing at his hand, he was more than a little annoyed to have realized that he had unconsciously crushed the wine glass he was holding. Summoning a servant droid, he disposed of the broken glass and obtained a fresh towel to wipe his hands on before turning to face his remaining companion.

He purposely made the young man in armor wait, before replying. "And who might you be, young man? I would like to have the pleasure of knowing who I speak to before I decide if I will answer your question."

Moridin continued to sit on his little bench. He observed two people passing him by right outside the audience chamber. A man and a woman speaking about groping or something or other. The Dreadlord observed them for a few more minutes and then took his eyes off them as well. He stretched himself out on the bench, making a few of his joints pop and his muscles just a tiny bit more lose. Then he stood with a smirk on his face.

Quietly he followed the pair that had just entered into the audience chamber. He used a force technique to hide himself. The Dreadlord focused himself within the force, not hiding himself or making himself invisible but instead bending the force in such a way that people simply...wouldn't notice him. The Sith Would be the last thing a person saw when they looked around the room. He would still be there, just harder to actually see and engage.

The Dreadlord stepped into the audience chamber and walked around for a bit, looking at different things and peering at different people. If someone noticed him even with the force bending peoples wills around him he would still only appear to be a misguided idiot looking around the royal palace, not a serious crime.

he was alittle annoyed that the jedi ignored him but he didnt show it. he learned that every thing comes to thoes who wait and when he did he was asked what his name was. Darren thought about answering him with a fake name but if he really was a jedi or a sith he would see throught his lie. he replied "I go by the Nane of Darren Shaw." he was wanting to ask him the question again but that would make him look more nervous than he already was. so he opted out.

"Well Padawan Shaw," Daxton said in a clearly amused tone, "You had better off having completed your studies or obtained a more competent Master to guide you since clearly you are not best in the social graces. Consider this a word of advice then. A Jedi Master does not answer to his lessers. What I did at the Jedi Temple is business of the Masters. Perhaps you were in one of my classes, although I think I would have remembered you if you had been. Tell me childe, who is your master?"

"i do not have a master." he responded with ease "i do show you graces but i was hired by the chacellor to be the eyes and ears for him hear today. in lightment of that you may know that i am a freelance Jedi." after saying that it occured to him that he had not bowed to him in showing him respect. "If you would pardon me for not bowing. I am very foucused in my job at hand. and i did not have any classes with you that is why i am asking simply to know who you are."

"No master I see. That would explain a lot." Although Daxton did decline to indicate what it did explain, he left the insinuation hanging that it was not all for the good. "Still you are young, perhaps one of the masters would take the time from their busy schedule to take you as an apprentice. Have you spoken to Jedi Master Ben Watts? He is a good friend of mine. I could speak to him on your behalf if that would interest you. Although mind you he is a stickler for the rules. and can be a bit uptight. A good man, although in my opinion a bit too focused if you get my drift. As a Jedi diplomat, I do not have the time nor the inclination to obtain new apprentices. I barely have time to brush the dust from my robes and I am off again to another planet. But that is the nature of my work and I am not really complaining, am I?"
"I need to sound out the Chancellor as well as every government official on Naboo who would possibly oppose a stronger alliance with the Republic and the Jedi. The Jedi Council considers Naboo to be a very important ally. My task is to convince them or at least mitigate their concerns of an alliance so that the Queen's proclamation would not be opposed. Do you understand how important that is for the Republic and the people of Naboo?"

"The Republic will be sending a token of goodwill in a few days. It is imperative, that none of the local officials would have cause to oppose this alliance. I must speak with the Chancellor in private and assuage his fears. Am I making myself clear, young Padawan? Further more I would need to know who else among the politicians here oppose an alliance with the Republic?"

Daxton wasn't the least bit concerned that anyone would check out his story, the best splicers of Sith Imperial Intelligence had hacked the records of the Republic Logistics Command. As far as anyone was concerned the shipment, as well as over a dozen similar shipments of tanks, were all aboveboard and cleared by Republic High Command.

"So i see why you are here. and a token? must be ether valueble or just some party gift" If he was thinking right. the token maybe something already delivered or is going to be delivered in the next few days. if it was that important then it must have already been sent. not wanting the jedi to leve he said "I did have a master that was a Jedi but i dont believe thier tactcs or some of thier values. they waste time on sending apprentices out on missions and not doing anything but clame the glory for thier own gain. that is why i prefer not to have a Jedi master at the time. if they were to change thier ways i might acept them again. so i will decline on Master Ben Watts. i mean no offence when i say this but i do not agree with them."

while he said this he was looking up shipments in the last 2 days and saw some cargo here cargo there. but one seem to stand out. it was a shipment of tanks and other suplise that came with them. it was unusual for Naboo people to order weapons that they have not created or helped in the prosses of making. he decided to some how find out what exactly what was shiped and what was this for.

"Lday Vaniir," the Chancellor bowed deeply his eyes drinking in every part of this hapan beauty that he possibly could. "I am honoured. I am Chancellor Reynolds of this great planet Naboo." he stopped for a moment clearly stunned by her beauty. "you must forgive me, We do not often receive such beautiful guests as yourself."

Behind him Mia rolled her eyes. That was a poor attempt at flattery, though if the woman has any sense she would accept it gratefully nonetheless. He offered Lady Vaniir his arm. "Come, allow me introduce you to some of these...delights." Mia fell in step behind him, briefly giving the lady's guard a once over and a curt nod before her eyes moved back to the balcony, where the Jedi were is deep discussion. The chancellor led them from senator to senator though his won interest was also on the Jedi on the balcony, his eyes forever flicked back towards them.

"Miss Monroe," he said finally, unable to stop his interest no more. "Fetch Jedi Moone, I would like to introduce him to our new guest."

"Really?" she tilted her head to one side an eyebrow raised. The chancellor responded with a scowl and Mia bowed mockingly. "As you wish, your grace." Shaking her head she stalked over to the two Jedi. "Ok boys, playtimes over. The Chancellor would like to see you Jedi Moone." she gave Darren an apologetic look "I hope you have enough to work with." she told him before taking a few steps away and turning back to face Jedi Moone. "I have a job to do, that job is to ensure that his grace lives," she kept her voice low so only he could hear. "In order to do that I must follow my gut instinct. My gut instinct doesn't trust you." she smiled "place your moves carefully Jedi."

With that she led him to the chancellor.

(Correction at this time only the Queen and her inner council know that the Republic is gifting them with Tanks. There is no official announcement yet, sorry but you're jumping ahead of the story.)

"Well there just might be some hope for you yet, young padawan." Although Daxton did not elaborate further. "Some might consider the token a very valuable gift, but for now only the Queen and her inner most council are aware of what it is. Security, you understand. We do not wish for the Sith to be aware of our plans and move against us."

When Mia arrived and said her piece, he laughed delightfully, "Fair enough, as I do not completely trust either one of you. At least that is clear and in the open. Still the situation dictates we be civil with each other, yes? Now if you please. We do not wish to keep the Chancellor waiting now, do we?"

Moving through the party, Daxton rejoined the chancellor and his guests. Smiling politely as he waited for an introduction.

Moridin kept on looking around the audience chamber, he was actually genuinely interested in the architecture here. The Royal Palace of Theed was famous the galaxy over, it was beautiful, pretty, and none of it was actually new. In the Dreadlords time alone Naboo had been attacked, conquered, and destroyed several times over by the Sith and the Jedi, and once even the rebellion. He remembered those battles well, and as he walked over to one of the pillars he touched the cold stone.

He closed his eyes, and felt the past within the pillar. His Psychometry kicked in, and he was shown visions of battle, of fighting, of murder and despair. He opened his eyes as the vision ended and finally spoke, breaking the illusion around him and revealing himself to the room.

“A world filled with History.” The Dreadlord said, it was a hushed whisper and people would likely still not notice him but the Sith Lord realized that he actually no longer cared. No one within the room or even on Naboo could identify him as a Sith so why hide even further.

He appeared, still touching the pillar with a slight smirk on his face.

Darren watched as the two walked away. He had to find out what was behind that jedi. Something was up and it was going to be a possable assassination or mass murder.

Darren thought about how he could look more into this character. His room may be one of thoes places. he looked up where his room for the time being may be and it came up. he got the quordnence in his map and proceded to go there.

When he got to the door, Darren didnt want any nasty suprises to blow up in his face. Using the force he could sence that there were some people on the floor below him and some more down the halway. with out arousing suspision he went to the other people down the hall. he saw a man and a little girl.
the man instanly saw him and asked "What are you doing here Sir?" Darren looked at the little girl then back at the man and stated "You need to go inside your room. and.." Waving his hand using the force persusation "you will not hear sounds in the next room." he had to do it to the man but he wont use force agenst a child. he bent over and said to the little girl. "All I'm going to be doing is cleaning the next room. okay?" the little girl smiled and noded her head and the man and little girl entered the room and shut the door with a hiss.

Darren went back to what he was doing and checked the door again.... nothing. he tried to open the door but it was locked. using the force he felt the mechanisms in the lock and taped them into place to un lock the door. it opened with a slight hiss "Open Sesemie." he whispered to himself.

Jedi Master Moone's room was typical of the rooms available to royal guests, a bit rich for a simple Jedi's taste but appreciated none the less. However, cleverly hidden on the door frame was disguised vibropad, designed to send Daxton a silent warning if the door was ever breached while he was gone. There were vibropads on all the windows and the vents, but disguised to look like their were part of the decoration. So the apprentice was aware the minute someone opened his room.

He couldn't help but smile, they would find nothing, save for a Jedi's travelling kit, some spare clothes, a travel brochure for Naboo with three locations encircled with a silver marker: The Emperor's Retreat, Lake Country and the Caves of Eleuabad, and an old ink filled stylus made from precious gold with the markings identifying it as a Cross.

Whether they toss his room, it wouldn't matter. He was meeting his first contact the following day, so now he had nothing better to do than soak in the sights and see where this discussion with the Chancellor would lead.

"A pleasure to meet you Chancellor Reynolds."

Tali smiled pleasantly, feigning flattery beautifully as the Chancellor gushed over her. With a polite nod and a sweet smile she took his arm, allowing him to lead her from politician to politician. She greeted each of them with grace and a pleasant smile, but all the while she was fully aware of everything that was going on around her. Dark eyes fell upon her companion for a moment and as soon as she made eye contact with him, she looked away.

"A Jedi is present today, Chancellor?"

She beamed, eyes sparkling with excitement as she attempted to spot the Jedi.

Security jobs were always nice. Typically, nothing really ever happened, and they also paid fairly well. Feeto happened to be on Naboo at the time they were looking for a few freelancers to bolster security personnel for some kind of soiree. So, why not? A few extra credits would do him good. He signed on, they gave him the typical security officer's attire for the evening, and the Rodian spacer simply wandered about the palace. He didn't talk to anyone, mostly trying to avoid any prying stares and look out for trouble. That was another thing about security jobs- they were almost always boring. Safe? Usually, but dull as all hell as a result.

Feeto wasn't one to complain about an easy paycheck, however. He continued to casually saunter through the palace, occasionally picking at trays of food when he was certain no one was watching. Outside of that, he kept on his best behavior. He didn't want to waste his time playing guard because he did something stupid to disqualify him from his credits.

Turning a corner into a hallway he thought would be deserted, Feeto instead saw a suspicious looking figure fiddling with the door to one of the guest rooms. Feeto didn't exactly recall who was staying there, but he did know that it wasn't that guy. Feeto was already marching down the hallway to confront the burglar when the guy somehow got the door to slide open. Annoyed, Feeto gave a sharp whistle to attract the man's attention.

"Hey, you. What do you think you're doing? Get away from that door. Now." Feeto's voice betrayed every ounce of his annoyance, but he wasn't being paid to be friendly.

Darren was about to enter the room when he was called out to. He turned around to a rodan securty officer. the Rodan clearly did not like hm being there. he then said "This is my room. Am I not allowed to retire to my room to rest?" He knew that it may not work and if it didnt he would probably just use force persuation or just knock the angry fellow out.

Feeto's eyebrow cocked in a display of skepticism. This guy was not dressed for a formal occasion and looked completely out of place. There was no way he would be staying in this palace. Even if he was staying here, Feeto was still adamant in his belief that this wasn't his room. Though Feeto decided to humor the vagrant's claim anyway. Each room here had a specialized keycard for access, so it would make sense to inquire about that. Asking for some sort of identification would be suitable as well.

"Show me your keycard. And your ID."

Darren thought about things for a moment and then pulled out his ID. he handed it to him and said "I work here. this i snot really my room. infact im investigating some one of intrest. that is my part of the job to investagate people who mak lookk spicous on any attacks agents the Republic, the Chancellor or anybody with him."

Darren decided that if there was more than two people on his side trying to figure this out that would mean more eyes and ears on the prowl for this "Jedi" and if he was securty that would mean that he could be close to the chancellor if need be. Darren then aske the rodan "what is your name. you may help me stop someone from killing the Chancellor."

"If doing your job involves breaking and entering, you should consider a different line of work."

Feeto was well aware of his hypocrisy, but Darren wasn't. The Rodian was a security officer for the day, so he might as well get into character with it. He only half-listened to Darren's confession that this wasn't really his room and his alleged job. Was that really his excuse? It didn't seem all that believable. If there was some kind of rogue private investigator running around the palace, snooping for potential threats to the Chancellor, Feeto would've been briefed on it, wouldn't he? Feeto eventually looked up from the card, handing it back to Darren.

"Who hired you to investigate? And what do you suspect would be in this room that would help? Do you even know who's staying in this room?" Feeto asked, completely ignoring Darren's question. This guy was obviously some kind of Jedi, but that didn't make him any more believable than before. Feeto wagered he was some kind of rogue, probably here to case the palace with the help of his hokey-pokey magic. Hell, he was probably trying his mind tricks on Feeto right now. Killing the Chancellor... What a load of rubbish.

Yet, for some reason, there Feeto stood, continuing to humor the man.

Darren was suprised that the rodan didnt answer his question. He was clearly disquingished as a Jedi. hearing the question he answered. "I was hired by the Chancellor to be on his personal Guard. The room this belings to is a Jedi by the name of Master Ian. He was susposably at the same Jedi temple that i was at a few years ago. and i do not remember him being there."

Darren then thought about what the Rodan was most likely going to think. Most people didnt trust Jedi because of thier persuation. he then followed by saying. "If i really wanted to wipe your memory i could have. i chose not to because you may be a very valuable asseset to me. So again I ask what is your name?"
