Sakadi watched as the golden light of Commenor's single sun slowly began its retreat from the sky. She had opted to join the Silver Jedi on the Ancilla, but had ultimately decided against it. The megastructure was no place for the likes of her, and neither was the large Jedi Fortress system Matsu Ike had mentioned to her. Those who resided in those secluded places were detached of their duties as guardians of peace and justice. Being around like-minded beings made you lose sight of reality. It was a lesson she had learned over and over. And one she was in need of reviewing again.

She had neglected and dismissed what happened outside of her jurisdiction. Followed her prescience in the Force to a fault, and lost sight of reality. Focused on the fate of her former apprentice. All while the galaxy burned around them. Perhaps it was time to change, with one step at the time.

Standing with her hands clasped behind her back on the small balcony adorned with various exotic flowers, Sakadi waited.

She had sat too long on this for a while. A long with talks she had with Amani and Master Mei, she had come to conclude that this...wound, this thing in her life needed to be addressed. Piloting her oversized bus of a ship, Mi'la had docked in the station above, and taken a shuttle down to the temple, her presence in the force open, as the ripples from within her reached out to that familiar contact down below. It made her uncomfortable thinking about it as she descended.

Sakadi.

She winced, wondering again what was she going to say? What would she do? How would she react even? The Twi'lek sighed, trying to focus inward, and force the discomfort out. It worked, sort of. Until she felt the shuttle land within the hanger, then it all came rushing back to her. She felt the feelings swelling up once again, and groaned.

She wasn't a padawan anymore. She was a fething jedi knight, and she needed to act like it.

Steadying herself, she continued her walk into the temple, ignoring the glances and odd stares she gathered along the way, guided by the familiar presence of her old master, until at last, she could see her form standing upon the balcony, stoic as ever. Mi'la had always marveled at how still her master could be, almost like a statue, posed, immaculate, yet ready to spring into action at the drop of a hat. Perhaps one day she would reach that level of serenity, but not for some time.

She found herself unable to speak for a moment, but managed the words with a polite bow of her head. "Master."

It was time to heal this rift between them.

She sensed the approach long before the word was spoken.

"Master."

It had been ages since she had last heard the voice of Mi'la Undari. It was as if her presence in the realm of the untethered had simply vanished one day. Sakadi had found that enough reason to declare her as having passed away. And like all Jedi were supposed to do in light of their duties, she had moved on.

Or at least, she had tried.

It was difficult to accept the truth of the matter. As a Knight, she had always refused to take Padawans. Believing that she lacked the experience, patience, and attitude to properly mentor someone so personally. She had set that aside after ascending to the position of Jedi Master. First, she had taken Cas Tynen under her wing. A promising but hotheaded Kiffar, who had regrettably fallen to the Dark side as a Knight. The other had been her, Mi'la Undari. Dead before even reaching Knighthood. And now her final apprentice was Taliya Kassel. A girl who's mind was torn to shreds, which was arguably the reason why Sakadi had taken it upon herself to train the girl to begin with. In any way she looked at it, it had been quite a stellar track record.

But Mi'la's return gave her hope. Hope for the future of Taliya and the redemption of Cas.

Sakadi turned. "Mi'la. It has been a while." She projected stiffly.

There was a tension in the air, or at least Mi'la mistook it as such. She remained where she was as Sakadi's voice spoke to her, her face calm as that sensation was one she had forgotten. Attempting to speak, the words died in her throat, so she remained there for what seemed like hours, but in reality, it was less than a minute. She took one step, then another. Her legs felt like they had been swapped out for fuel lines, hardly able to keep her straight, yet the knight continued on, stopping a few feet from the master. "It has, Master, I...hope you have been well?" She managed, wincing at how casual it felt. Given everything, she should have said more, meant more or something.

Ugh.

"I am glad to see you still in one peace." She added, eyes falling away from the master to stare out at the distance over her shoulder. She kept her hands in front of her, gripping her hands together, nervous about what might be said; or what might be rather.
