Description: Ooglith Noxokks were an evolutionary step between gablith masquer and ooglith masquers, though it's shape changing abilities are much more limited than ooglith masquers. Whereas ooglith masquers can change on a whim given the time necessary for the shapeshift, Ooglith Noxokks require time to change in to the alien chosen as stipulated in the Alters Appearance strength below. Ooglith Noxokks, by command of the Yuuzhan Vong Tsavong Kraal, were to be equipped with heightened survival means in the case that they were ousted and must hide behind enemy lines until extraction. This would provide an elevated success rate of infiltration missions.
Strengths:
[ + ] Environmentally Adaptive. While flexible and form-fitting, the Ooglith Noxokk is environmentally adaptive to dangerous and extreme environments, including deep water, the vacuum of space, and high temperature environments. A special gnullith was provided for breathing and it is located under the mask of the wearer.
[ + ] Alters Appearance. The Ooglith Noxokk is not a shape-changing apparatus. It can only change the appearance of the user and cannot reduce or alter the user's size. It can make the user, if alien, appear human. It can make the user appear alien if human. The selection is the user's choice during the growth process - however, it is a one shot trick. The user cannot change into any alien on command, only the alien that was chosen during the growth progress. Therefore, if Rodian was chosen during the growth process, then the suit can only shift the appearance of the user in to a Rodian. Therefore, if the user is ousted during a stealth mission, the appearance the user wields will become ousted as well.
The appearance happens as a symbiotic alteration in which only the layer of armor, the Ooglith Noxokk, changes appearance. It does not physically cause the user to change appearance, as under the armor the user still retains his normal appearance.
The Ooglith Noxokk also has a generic appearance which appears in the picture above this entry.
Weaknesses:
[ - ] Detectable By The Force. If concentrated on upon by a user of the Force, the suit can be detected as a single life form. This means that if the wearer is also detectable by the Force, the Force Wielder will detect two life forms where there should only be one, alerting the Force User that something is amiss with the user. However, this works as a strength for any Yuuzhan Vong (YV) wearers who don the suit, as the Force User will be unable to determine that the YV wearer is absent in the Force and will determine they are a normal life form.
[ - ] Detectable by Unmaskers, which are Yuuzhan Vong creations designed specifically to detect oogliths and force them to abandon their wielder.
[ - ] Requires Nutrition. The suit has several cilia embedded within that feed on microorganisms within the air or water, meaning that the suit requires constant nutrition. This requires the suit to almost constantly be in contact with an environment that provides nutrition. It can survive for short lengths of time, 2 hours maximum, in a vacuum.
[ - ] Allergic To Baffor Pollen. The suit, when exposed to live samples of bafforr pollen, will seize up and paralyze the user within until he abandons the suit. If the user remains paralyzed for too long, he will eventually suffocate and die after the suit's organics fail.
