Darth Vindictus

The torches burned dimly in the central chamber of the Tomb of Darth Nihl, their flickering flames casting shadows across the black and red banners beneath them. Spread out as they were around the peripheries of the chamber, they illuminated the eight entrances to the chamber, but their light barely reached the center. Sloping down away from each entrance hallway, descending down a dozen stairs in a octagonal shape around a central podium. Upon this podium, cast in pure bronze, was the sarcophagus of Darth Nihl himself, the ancient Sith Lords remains still held within. Torches were mounted in pegs at each corner of the podium, casting their flickering light over the eternally frozen face of the Sith Lord.

Kneeling before the sarcophagus, head bowed, was Darth Vindictus. The Sith Lords eyes were closed in meditation as he felt out the Living Force, touching it for only moments at a time before withdrawing his mind. The Living Force was an interesting thing, Vindictus had come to understand. In his time since finding the Tomb, he had made many journeys into it to try and find its secrets, only to be rebuffed. The Living Force was anathema to the Dark Side, and every time Vindictus tried to pierce its defenses, he was cast back in agony. His efforts had taken a toll on his mind, but the secrets he had gleaned from the agony had proven themselves to be worth it. In time, he would find a way to explore the Living Force more, and fulfill one of his personal goals to taint it at its source.

Approaching footsteps drew his mind back to his body, and the Sith Lord slowly opened his yellow cast eyes. His vision was blurred for a moment, having been lost for hours during his delving, but slowly the physical world around him began to come back into focus. A Sith Acolyte entered the central chamber, bowing his head to Vindictus before descending the stairs. He came to a halt three steps above the Sith Lord, casting his eyes around the room, but never settling for more than a moment on Vindictus himself. After a moment, his voice pierced the silence of the chamber. "My Lord, they have begun to arrive."

The smile that crept across Vindictus's face was there for but a moment before the Sith Lord rose to his feet. Black and red robes rustled as they shifted for the first time in hours, and the Sith Lord turned to face the Acolyte. "Ensure they enter the Tomb, Acolyte. Escort them here, it is time to finally begin." The young man bowed his head quickly and ascended the steps, taking one of the eight hallways out of the sarcophagus chamber and making his way towards the Tombs entrance. Left alone once again, Vindictus reached out and placed his hand on the bronze sarcophagus, feeling the still lingering aura of Darth Nihl within.

"Do not worry, honored ancestor. Today, your vision shall finally come to pass. The One Sith shall be reborn..."

Tomb of Darth Nihl

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Pacing forward with the grace of a predator, following the Acolyte who led the way from the entrance to where Darth Vindictus waited. Since they had spoken on Pochi, Rylan had spent a long time meditating, thinking on the proposition before him. He had stayed on Pochi, calling those who he knew were loyal to him, he had begun to rebuild Fortress Baarlos. He intended to make it his personal seat, even though his allegiance drew him all of the way across the galaxy to here.

"Lord Draehl, you are welcome to enter the tomb proper." The acolyte spoke, the cowl of their hood pulled low and their voice an androgynous sort that made it impossible to identify.

As was proper, Rylan passed by him without even offering a second glance. His eyes went first to the exits, then to the currently lone person in the room.

Continuing his predatory stalk, Rylan approached. His foot stepped on the point where he would be three meters away, and he gracefully slid to a single knee and he barred his throat ever so slightly.

"My Lord Vindictus."

Regel stood in the room, stock still, rifle in hand, blaster at his side. Stealth field generator even on in a shadowed corner of the room. The Polyweave he wore was a fascinating and useful material that formed according to the persons decisions, if slower than he'd like. However, his experience with his disguise implant probably moved it faster than typical for a non shapeshifter. He had formed a helmet as well out of it, also covering a rebreather.

He watched as the acolyte brought people in, one being Rylan Caedes, who he saw look for the exits. Logical. Most people he worked with, or against, did that. He greeted Darth Vindictus, Regel remained silent. Just observing for now. He was likely an unnecessary addition to this, but redundancies were security and for unanticipated variables. It was better to never fail and move slowly, than to risk great loss for less great gain.

He knew serving the One Sith would be different than his previous occupation in regards to authority. He was used to working for the government as a whole, changeable authorities at the top, even if less common than the republics. He'd just have to deal with it. Similar role, another set of orders, another role to fill.

Equipment:
Rebreather
Stealth field generator
Gambit disrupter pistol

To say lord crihl was surprised to get a message from Darth hatrom was an understatement let alone one. Asking him to help a Virgining sith order after what happened to the two other sith factions recently. Landing in his ship he knew the planet and Darth nihl well having trained his former master in the darkside of the force.

Taking a rebreather and attaching it to his head Darth crihl walked out of his sith intercepter. making his way into the tomb crihl would notice the acolyte standing their looking at him "Darth crihl lord Vindictus is waiting" the acolyte said clearly seeing this Vindictus as a true sith lord with crihls hood up she wouldn't be able see his face. Walking into nihls tomb kintik looked down at it then to lord Vindictus "I assume you're the one who contacted my apprentice" he said as he removed his hood revealing his sith pureblood race and redish yellow eyes. He didn't care about the others in the room but could react to them if need be in a moments notice.
