#notimmunetopeerpressure

I really wanted to do this for the character, but since Rev is really my only character for right now (still getting my feet with with [member="Yurzhoc Shai"] and [member="Relit Vandal"]), I figured I would name this for writer and let anything go. And lets be honest...I'm pretty lazy.

So, have at me. Either for me as a writer/person or for Reverance as a character. But be careful, I bruise easy...

I haven't had the chance to RP with your characters as yet, but I'll say first that anyone using Le Chiffre as an alt is worthy in my book.

I jest...I jest. Mads Mikkelsen it may be, but 'Casino Royale' it's not. I have always greatly liked your character Reverence just initially from the profile we see - a great AV, signature and the general look of him, so well done for creating a man you know just what you're going to get!

And I've followed the works of [member="Matsu Xiangu"] greatly and have seen your writing style with her in many threads and I can say it's superb. It paints pictures and atmospheres, and your style of writing just draws you into the character and their motives, feelings and inner thoughts. As a Sith, you've captured what I can imagine him to be perfectly and the development you add to each thread for yourself and others is admirable. While your posts are very in-depth at times and require a great deal of attention to soak in with all the content, I look forward to seeing where you go from here as your confidence and ability is evident in all you do.

A character walks into a thread. They talk about it a little. Maybe they mention the cold weather, the curtains near the door, or a painting on a wall. They describe their clothing and the gun on their belt. Checking off all the common ticks for the Roleplay of the day. One by one, everyone nods in agreement. It's a good post. We can all move on.

Now. [member="Reverance"] walks into a thread. People notice. His formatting. It's superb. His text placement, boom. Are there paintings on the wall? No. There is atmosphere, and mood, and color, and visions of the coming dawn. He's humble too. In spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Not for us, but for a personal integrity. A line in the sand that does not waver. Not even to winds of change.

When Reverance walks into a thread. We all notice they way he is standing. It's like a Boss. And deep down inside. Yeah. We all suspect that might just be the way his writer is standing too.

Cons: Some of your posts can be intimidating. Remember, brevity is the soul of wit. Hit the mark and the kill is still guaranteed. Linger? And you risk your audience as well as your ink. :D

I haven't gotten to write with you - yet.

But I have pretty much trolled everything you have written and I love it.

The inner dialogue and character development is beautiful and well thought out.

I enjoy reading your duels and skirmishes.

Detail, emotion, energy surrounding the environment. Very uhm well placed - puts you into the scene instead of describing it.

Although sometimes your font and color combos drive me nuts :p

We haven't had much opportunity to RP, though we are doing a bit of NPC fighting in the Kashyyyk invasion thread. I've got to say that I love the way in which you come to someone with issues. In the past I've had people draw attention to a mistake I've made (Admitted I make them a bit!) and they tended to be more combative. If you have an issue with a post you come forward in a friendly matter and it is refreshing.

I also like the posts of yours I've read and they have just the right mix of humor squeezed in!

It's true...I do stand that way when I write. It's actually pretty tough, standing barrel chested while writing on a laptop...but by god, I will not let convenience affect my integrity.

Got it: Posts are too long. It's one of my toughest issues, to be honest. Thanks :)

I haven't had the pleasure of writing with you until this invasion, and I must say....I enjoy your writing a lot. It's very engaging and has humor to keep it lighthearted. I like it a lot good sir.

Thank you for the comment :). I know npcing isn't the funnest for people but I try to keep it somewhat entertaining.

I've gotta agree with Sochi on this one. Though I haven't had the chance to write with you until the Kashyyk invasion, it's real fun to read your posts. They're engaging, and that's what matters. I see a lot of writers who describe every. single. thing. And that's not a bad thing, but it can lead some readers to just skip the dialogue like a lot of us do in an MMO that we've played the same story over and over. The way you lace humor and flavor into your posts, it keeps me reading and wanting more.

You're a great writer inside and out, astounding at Roleplay. I don't talk to you too much , but I've read a lot of your OOC comments on stuff. If I could suggest anything for constructive criticism is that you sometimes seem to like to make points that can take things off topic.

From the start (when you first submitted your bio) I almost went gay for the character. The formatting and the ability to write out a story so well, yet have this aura that made you want to read even more. So I don't mind the long posts. I actually write them because they are so descriptive. Your bio is just awesome. I wish I could write my Master character's bios like that as well. Reading the Background of [member="Reverance"] just makes you want to read more. Kind of like reading an awesome book series, then the author not making another book. So you are left hanging eternally. (Pisses me off sometimes that your story doesn't end sometimes)

Oh lawd your posts? Love them. First instance I had to RP with you was when some Sith was captured on Hoth and we had to go save her. Loved your posts. I fear that mine pale in comparison to them. Even so, I want to Rp with you more often because you bring an element to the table that I haven't really seen all that often in my two years (almost three) on this site.

Keep it up brutha!

Cheers.

Very good, every post paints a visceral picture. These days a lot of people sometimes neglect to do this, in favour of using actual imagery. I started writing in the days of 56k when that wasn't an option, so I'm a massive fan of how well you do this.

Sometimes I get the impression you go back over you posts and deliberately spend time making them a bit more "flowery", sometimes it's a little too much.

There you go, brief, unhelpful advice as promised! (I've also still only read one of your characters, so it doesn't exactly give me a full picture!)
