New Socks

[member="Kira Talith"]

Aela watched her mother walk into the room holding more clothes than a closet. "Oh force."

Kira had finally gotten what she wanted after all these years.

They were going to play dress up.

The eldest Talith supposed that it wasn't the worst thing, and she did need to learn how to dress as Miss Castille, but the idea, the horror of dressing like the woman was half of what concerned her so much. Aela couldn't picture herself comfortably in clothes like that, couldn't even comprehend about how the woman wasn't constantly worry about her breasts simply falling out. It was strange to Aela, so foreign and unfamiliar that she was afraid the clothes themselves would give her away.

A slow nod tucked her chin lower.

Yes, dress up was a good thing.

"Okay!" Kira would sing out with a slight huff, blonde bangs blown away from her eyes as she flashed her eldest daughter a wide grin. With a flounce, she would enthusiastically drop the mound of clothing onto the pale blue and white couch.

"Got some goodies for your to wear, Chick-e-dee!" maybe this was with a little too much glee. There was a sparkle in her eye, a bounce to her gait. Soliael would hand a glass of water to Aela, while the gloss of amusement still glimmered in his eyes. It was there in the faint twitch of his lips. Aela wouldn't know it, but it was there for more reasons than just one.

"Go ahead, honey." Kira would motion for aela towards the array where she could upload the data to a more realistic holographic size. "Get her back on out here and we'll go through her mannerisms."

She went back to gleefully go through the clothing. "... we'll need to get you the go go boots..."

Aela wandered over to the holographic array, plugging in the small datacard and instantly flicking the machine to life.

Miss Castille once again popped up, this time her image showing up more clearly with her choice of clothes even more openly on display. As she popped up, Aela couldn't help but cringe slightly. She knew that she would have to dress like that, and at the sight of two small nubs in the womans black top she felt a bit more anxious than before. The Young Marshall wasn't even sure if she had the confidence to pull something like this off, much less if she had the will.

"Okay." She said quiet as a mouse.

"This is everything." Her hand swiped at the screen in front of the display, the image of Miss Castille flickering and then changing slightly to another photo, this time of her sitting in what appeared to be a nightclub. "The investigators actually managed to dig up quite a bit, and she herself divulged a lot of information."

The blabbermouth.

Kira would glance over at the hologram, narrowing her eyes a bit as she would study the costume. "Okay... so you need shorts." the Lorrdian blonde went digging through the mound of clothing, plucking out a stretchy denim pair of short shorts that... well.. would make anyone wonder how they even left anything to the imagination!

"Take those," the pair went sailing over to Aela, much to her father's amusement. A bright red push up bra - they were the same size so that wasn't an issue - followed by a loose, boatneck beige shirt that had a little chain in between the deep vee plunge between said breasts.

"And that... the coat is right here..."

[member="Kira Talith"]

She frowned.

These clothes left nothing to the imagination, in fact, she was entirely sure that they would barely fit her. Her mother might have the same figure than her, but Aela was still quite a bit taller than her. A frown pulled at her lips as she looked at Kira, her eyes flickering over to her father. She fidgeted for a moment, not quite sure if she actually wanted to try on these clothes. Her father simply shrugged, his face a blank, though Aela could still see the amusement behind his eyes.

"Mom." Aela said quietly, looking at Kira. "Why do you ave these?"

She held a coat that would really more have counted as a boob enhancer.

The jacket didn't even actually cover her breasts, instead it cut right under her chest and slashed a small bit of fabric over her ribs just to once again disappear and show off her belly button. How was this even a jacket? This wouldn't keep someone warm, this would just make them freeze to death. Aela frowned, really not understanding why anyone would dress like this.

Much less if they had to intimidate people.

"Hmm?" Kira would give an absentminded glance over to her daughter. It took a second to register and then she quickly replied, "Oh... these old things." she made a gesture as if to say 'oh it's nothing!' and 'Don't worry your pretty little head, sweetheart'.

Soliael on the other hand had his upper lip twitch.

"Alright," she gave a wide belt made of bronze circles that would wrap around the hips. "Go on and change," she would shoo her over towards the next room. "Your dad and I'll will be right here getting more information on this Elizabeth."

Oh this was only the beginning.

She grumbled for a moment, wondering why her mother had dodged the question.

For now she chalked it up to Kira once being a Jedi Investigator like Jacen. The woman had after all done the job for years, even becoming a Jedi Shadow. It would make sense that she had outfits like this, likely having gone undercover more than a few times in her years in the Jedi Order. Yeah. That's it.

Aela convinced herself of that and moved on.

She took the armful of clothing and moved into the other room, quickly stripping down and throwing her more comfortable robes onto her bed. She frowned slightly, looking down at the clothing that she had carried with her. A loud sigh escaped her lips, her head shaking as she lifted the top and inspected it. The thing was tiny, tinier than tiny. Aela looked down at herself, then let out another sigh. Slowly she began to slip into the clothing, feeling automatically constricted.

"It's worse than armor." She mused, pulling on the tiny shorts.

As soon as Aela stepped out to change, one could see the shift within the petite Lorrdian. That smile she had on waned, and she automatically wrapped her arms around her stomach in an unconscious protective gesture of comfort.

I don't like it. Not one bit.

Soliael didn't need a ring to relay to him the moods of his wife. He shared the very same concerns as well. Mere seconds would pass before his own muscular arms would wrap around Kira, bringing her into his embrace from behind. A deep exhale flowed from the Jedi Master, and she allowed herself to sink into his warmth for a few seconds.

"I'm okay, really." she would attempt to convince herself. However, as a mother, one never could stop worrying about the well being of their children.

"Let's see what we can get from her mark..."

[member="Kira Talith"]

Soliael gently squeezed his wife.

"She'll be alright." He didn't like this anymore than Kira. He knew where his daughters strength lay, and it wasn't in acting like other people. Aela was as headstrong as they came, powerful enough to tear down a building but with less subtlety than a bantha. This would be hard for her. "If not, she can always punch her way out."

True enough.

Or he would go and get her.

That was half a joke in his mind, though only half. Soliael was more than ready to spring into action as of late. His armor had been taken out of storage, instead put onto a stand within the living room, his lightshield gauntlets had been placed with them and it seemed that the old man was now on high alert at all times. He was wary of having a repeat of Contruum. The next time it happened he would be more prepared, he would end it before it even began.

He was confident in that.

Her shoulders shook at that, the petite blonde spinning within Soliael's embrace to turn to face him. Tipping her head back, she smiled up at him. He was right, all of their children were blessed with skills and could take care of themselves. They had all been trained by Sol and she, and that wasn't even counting their aunts and uncles. That wasn't even including the rest of the Shamalain family.

They had all also trained independently, and each had come to their own.

"Okay," she would reach up on her tippy toes to give him a small kiss on the lips. "We are going to have to narrow down on her mark's mannerisms. Let's see what we can both do to help her with."

[member="Kira Talith"]

He holo-recording began to play, and Soliael carefully watched the footage.

The old man wasn't an investigator, nor had he any experience as a Jedi Shadow, but he had posed as a false god for many, many years of his life. If that wasn't enough to be considered a good actor then he wasn't sure what quite would quantify it. A small smile perked on his lips as he thought about that, whether or not Aela would actually consider him fit to give advice in this matter. Of course he could always just feed his suggestion to Kira, but that likely wouldn't be necessary.

"She's confident." Soliael said about the woman in the recording. "More confident than she should be."

His eyebrow perked slightly. "She herself can't fight, at least not properly."

It was from her walk that she could tell. She carried herself much like a princess, but her movements weren't practiced or patient, they were rushed and crammed together. She didn't look around herself nor did she try to keep a look out for anything in front of her. She had likely never had proper tutelage regarding combat.

Kira's blonde head would give a rise and fall in agreement.

"Aela will have to learn to relax her posture..." that was just one of the first clues. As a vanguard with almost two decades of training, Aela's body naturally flowed within that muscle memory in defense forms. Even her normal gait would radiate a confidence that was not along the same vein as Elizabeth.

Bare feet would pad around, frowning as she would pay more attention to detail. "She talks with her hands." the Lorrdian would note. Her kind were a more physically emotional species, but it was evident that Aela's mark was of the same manner.

"Exaggerated... she always carries her weight on her right hip and leg." that was her point of rest.

[member="Kira Talith"]

He gave Kira a light squeeze. "She was raised well."

That was an odd observation.

"Or at least in riches." He pointed to the holo-image. "You can tell by the way she regards people, definitely high-born."

That was one thing that their daughter wouldn't have to adjust to. Not that Aela was in anyway spoiled, but their daughter did have a way about her, stoic, calm, and definitely always aware of those around her but never seeming to pay any real attention to them. She didn't do it on purpose, but ti was obvious that that's what she did. To Soliael it had never really been a point of contention, mostly because he did the exact same thing. Technically speaking they were all royalty after all.

"She'll have trouble with the clothes though." Soliael mused with a smile.

"Oh yeah," there was no denying that one! One didn't even need Force enhanced hearing to listen in on the few grumbles from Aela in the other room. A grin would crack Kira's face at that.

"She's... not going to enjoy those." well at the very least Aela never had to wear a thong! A snicker at the thought of that mental image of how her daughter would react to a tiny scrap of fabric followed suit. "I can get her other sets so she starts to feel more comfortable in them."

Granted, that would put a dent on specific fun-time availability....

Moving up to the hologram, she brought forth the audio. "Is she chewing on something?" zooming in, she would rewind and play. "Yeah... she's chewing ... gum?"

Ah. Was she a snap popper?

[member="Kira Talith"]

He nodded.

The woman certainly was a character.

She reminded Soliael of many of the Crime Lords that he had meet nearly an age ago, when the Gulag Plague had still be ravaging the galaxy. They had had no fear then, had carried themselves with a confidence that made them appear untouchable. No governments would go after them, no law enforcement ever really bothered to stop them. They were dangerous back then, and they carried themselves just like this woman did. It made him think, ponder.

"Is there anything on her homeworld?" Soliael asked. "Or where she was raised?"

That was just as important as how she walked. "She reminds me of the head of the Black Sun I met a century or so ago."

It was more than a century, closer to two, but no reason to bring up his age.

“I don’t know,” Kira replied, going over to the array to search the rest of the datafiles on Elizabeth. It was about that time that her stomach gave a small gurgle. She was hungry.

A sheepish grin would flow, but it didn’t distract the Lorrdian. “Oh, here we go.” with a grab and flick, she brought up a holographic screen to bloom beside the holographic image of the young blonde woman.

“She’s from Chroma Zed.” she told her husband, giving a slight incline of her head in acknowledgement. That made sense. It was within the range of Hutt Space and former Black Sun Territory. A beautiful world, no doubt, but the ongoing crime rings and former Confederacy ties with the Sith made for a cocktail of elite affluent criminals.
“Only child. Her father was an underboss.” That explained her confidence and why she had an aura of affluence.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"What was her last name? Castille?" Soliael closed his eye for a moment, trying to remember.

Her father being an underboss made some sense, the way she carried herself meant that her family was royalty of some sort, even if it was crime royalty. The old man tried to remember back nearly two centuries. He could recall a face, but not the name of the man. It was a long time ago, and the meeting had been rather brief. The whole thing had of course ended in violence, with Soliael covered in blood and more than a few necks snapped. He frowned slightly, reaching up to scratch at his beard.

"Nah." He said more to himself than to his wife. "I can't remember."

"I thought maybe she might be related to the Crime Lord I met, that would mean her family has been at this game for a long time, but can't remember." He shrugged.

"Well could very well be." Kira would say, frowning as she would scan the rest of the datafiles. "Yeah, they've been there a while." she went sliding more screens into place, setting them in a wide panel hovering in front of them.

"There's some definite Black Sun ties." She frowned, then gave a nod. Crossing her arms under the triangles of her bikini, Kira would mull.

"Close acquaintances. Relationships." ohhhh boy. Now they were getting to the more tricky business. "Friends and lovers."

That last bit made her wince. Let's just say Aela had yet to bring anyone home. Or so any interest in anyone in that case.

[member="Kira Talith"]

Aela walked back into the room just a few seconds after her mother had commented on her lack of romantic interest, not hearing the words and instead being too focused on what she was wearing.

The clothes were almost the exact same that Miss Castille had been adorned with in the hologram, though the colors were slightly off. It wasn't the colors that bothered Aela of course, not at all. Instead it was the...well clothing itself. She felt as though everything were constricting her, as though she were about to fall out of her top, and most importantly felt as though she was about to show herself to the galaxy...in the worst way. She frowned a she stepped into the room.

"This is ridiculous." She said to her parents. "No one should dress like this."

Her eyes sank to her own stomach, fingers tracing across it. "This woman can't think people take her seriously."

Both Kira and Sol would turn to face the sound of their rather incensed daughter. Sol, well the snickering started anew. Kira gave him a quick whap with the back of her hand on his belly, giving him a slight look of 'be nice!'

Although to be frank, Kira herself could not help but feel the corner of her mouth twitch at Aela's reaction. Yup, just exactly how she figured her daughter would react.

Oh but that was a cute bra though, she mused with devilry in her blue eyes.

"There isn't anything wrong with it!" Kira would say, uncrossing her arms to walk over towards the younger blonde woman. She began to fix a strap, then smoothed over the shoulders of the fuzzy coat. Humor danced in her eyes, "I mean, they look great!!"

There was no need to elaborate what her mother mean by 'they', the hand gestures were enough.

"You're letting your anger show." Kira would remind Aela, gesturing to her body language. Yep, definitely would have to work on posture.
