New Imperial Faction?

Oh there's a vision: Service and loyalty to the Emperor and the Empire. The wildness of the One Sith won't last, as the ISB's Inquisitors would put a stop to it. The purpose of those of both sides is to forcibly balance each other out.

Personally, i love the idea for the original Imperial Knights. They are Jedi, but they don't have the same moral constraints. The Imperial Knights in canon will do what needs to be done, regardless of consequence, to keep the Empire and Emperor Strong. They have a certain moral steadfastness that keeps them from falling to the darkside of the force, which allows them to do a bit more loose than the Jedi Order.

My old character Diana for instant wasn't necessarily viewed as the best Jedi due to constantly being in battle and wanting to rid the galaxy of Sith, never seeking peace but rather the imprisonment and or redemption of every single Sith in the galaxy. Granted she never killed anyone, but if she had it would've been frowned upon even more. In the Imperial Knights that attitude wouldn't have been an issue at all even the step further of murdering Sith, would've been nothing.

And it still is. When you're a new faction, though, being exclusive hurts you. Besides, the Emperor is ultimately in control of the Knights, and if he sees anything he doesn't like he'll put a stop to it. There are still standards.

Which reminds me I need to write those...

As it stands the Imperial Knights are only two members, Lanax and Serco. Serco is neutral, but leans more to the light side, but he is loyal. Lanax is a sith like the ones of the Old Republic (hence why he looks like Darth Malgus) Imagine if Aries was a sith, but had enough self control to follow someone like the Emperor and you'd have Lanax. I personally would like to see the Inquisitors as a part of the Imperial Knights, but who knows. From my understanding of the Imperial Knights to what they serve in this fraction is they serve two roles. One is they are the Emperor's personal guards. They are also like his sword. They are his personal army that he commands. Lanax serves the Emperor because the Emperor promised him war. Lanax is far more dark side then the Imperial knights who are in canon, but it is all about balance.

Back in the day, when the Fel Imperium was in existence, Veino was with the Imperial Knights that were very close to canon as [member="Darth Mierin"] described, and we didn't have a problem with exclusivity hurting the new faction. It was the actually that specific idea and vision for a Force order that drew me there. So, as my two cents, exclusivity and focus doesn't necessarily hurt a faction.
