SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Outfitted with various anti-slicing countermeasures.
  • Self-destruction mechanism in case the drone is successfully sliced.
  • Can be controlled by an advanced, intelligent droid brain or remotely via trained operator. The mechanical mind is very advanced, able to independently seek out and track down targets. Has HoloNet access.
  • Quiet engines.
  • Combat Sensor
  • Broadband Antenna and Rangefinder
  • ACS-405 Long Range Sensor Suite
  • Broad Spectrum Surveillance and Survey Suite.
  • Audio/Visual Recorder with Playback
  • Sonar Mapper
  • Rangefinder
  • Investigation and Analysis Computer.
  • Encrypted Communications Suite. Can broadcast audio, text and visual data.
  • Secret holonet transceiver used to monitor or control units.
STRENGTHS
  • Equipped with powerful communications equipment and a comprehensive sensor and scanning suite - including a laser designator - the drone can be used for surveillance, target acquisition and espionage purposes.
  • The droid brain is very advanced, being able to adapt to changing circumstances and efficiently seek out and track targets.
  • Death from above. Heavily armed, the drone is efficient at eliminating high-value targets. The Deathstrike missiles, whatever the model, are all guided. Moreover, they are resistant to various countermeasures and are serious threat to even a trained Force user because they travel extremely fast and explode on any impact. The drone is also armed with unguided rockets.
  • The drone can fly at high altitudes, though it is not a starfighter and should not be sent to space, and strike at targets from far distances.
WEAKNESSES
  • Weak defences. The drone only has fairly basic armour. This is beneficial for its speed and agility, but makes it poor in pitched combat.
  • Armaments are powerful, but geared towards combat at range. The drone is supposed to wreak havoc from a distance, and at a disadvantage at close distances.
  • Tech-reliant. It has some defensive measures to protect it against ionic and EMP detonations, but is susceptible to heavy blasts.
DESCRIPTION

Is your just and righteous government assailed by terrorist insurgents who hide amongst the civilian population you are trying to liberate from the iron grip of a despot? Do arbitrary interstellar laws prevent you from removing the threat posed by terrorists and dark cultists? Firemane has your back. The Nemesis Combat Air Drone will enable you to carry out precise strikes to eliminate terrorist nests and high-value targets that pose a threat to 'peace and stability'.

The drone combines agility, precision and intelligence. Its mechanical mind is highly adaptive, enabling it to independently track, surveil and eliminate dangerous targets. Able to access the latest in intelligence on its targets, it can adapt to changing circumstances and tailor its approach accordingly. The drone features a laser cannon, rocket launchers and multiple missile hardpoints for Deathstrike Concussion Missiles Model 2.

Moreover, it can be equipped with a single Deathstrike Concussion Missile Model 3, a weapon that is normally used by bombers to take out heavy targets such as armour and fortifications. It can therefore hit targets in civilian buildings, light vehicles and infantry, plus having a single big shot for bunkers etc. Force-Users accustomed to deflecting or diverting missiles using telekinesis, Force barriers and similar will face the problem that the Deathstrikes travels with great speed and explodes on any impact.

All this enables the drone to precisely and efficiently eliminate dangerous, high-value targets from a far distance. Its long range and high speed can allow it to withdraw before the enemy can muster a coordinated response. Moreover, using an intelligent drone instead of a bomber can save lives - both those of the organic crew and that of innocent bystanders. Compared to traditional air strikes, drones are more precise and will make decisions on the basis of data. This reduces the risk of mistakes as they are not encumbered in the same manner as purely organic operators. Moreover, it keeps down collateral damage.

Unlike organic crews, the drones do not require rest, and will not get distracted. Moreover, they can be used to put pressure on the enemy. Not only can they bombard targets, they can carry out surveillance and transmit the data at a rapid pace, thereby enabling even more precise tactical use. Targets are monitored, and operators back at headquarters use this data to collate intelligence, stack targets on lists, assign them numbers and then initiate an action to eliminate them. It is a clean, precise process.
