  • Unit Name: Security Technician
  • Affiliation: Nakaioma Security Services
  • Classification: Technician
  • Description: The principle support personnel offered by Nakaioma Security to its clientele, and utilized by the wider conglomerate itself. Security Technicians fulfil a two-in-one role, functioning as both security officers, as well as highly skilled technicians, with their fields of expertise widely ranging from security systems to droid maintenance, although this is generally exclusive to individual technicians, as for obvious reasons it would be too impractical to train every technician in every field, though their NeuroProcessors greatly assist in this regard. Clients can nevertheless detail which skill sets they require when placing an order for a protection plan. Less numerous than Officers, and even Enforcers to some extent, technicians are best suited to technological/facility maintenance, repairs, and the upkeep of installed Nakaioma security systems/devices. Visually differing from Officers with their darker uniforms, and full sleeved shirts, technicians are typically recruited either from Nakaioma training schools, or military and civilian occupations that facilitate the skill sets required in a technician.

  • Combat Function: Technicians are by their very definition support personnel. Not intended to fight on the frontlines, or to take on intruders to a property by themselves. They work in conjunction with Nakaioma Security Officers and Enforcers to best manifest joint-role functions. Highly trained and knowledgeable in their respective fields of work, they can maintain site infrastructure, such as security systems (Sensors, turrets, cameras, deflector shields), perform vehicle maintenance, and even upkeep smaller starships if need-be, and can maintain the gear and equipment that other Nakaioma Security personnel need to function. Considerably agile, they are hired to a large degree based on their ability to adopt to new forms of tech, and demonstrate in most cases an impressive ability to work with systems they have never seen before, if a client so desires them to do so. In a combat scenario, they are armed with pistols, are instructed to fall back to the closest Officer or Enforcer, and to adopt a defensive posture.

  • Wide Skillset: With the assistance of the Nakaioma NeuroProcessor, and the Kioku-1 CoProcessor, Nakaioma Security Technicians are capable of learning any form of technology or skill base required of them, either by the corporation or their clientele. Highly specialized in one specific realm of expertise via years of study and experience, they can nevertheless adopt anything via a simple download of an instruction manual into their CoProcessor unit. Provided to them by the corporation until enlistment.
  • Equipped: Torso protected by a Kita Kabe Security Vest, utilizing the same materials found in the Kabe Heavy Security Uniform, technicians are guaranteed a high degree of safety from shots to this vital portion of their body. While in their toolkits they carry a variety of state-of-the-art equipment, allowing them to conduct any number of activities in the field, or in stationary facilities. Their equipment is secured by an ElectroMag Defense Unit, and their communications are subject to biohexacryption.
  • One Man Barrier: When supplied with the right amount of defensive equipment, technicians can really show their value to clientele. It only requires a single, two or three technicians to operate a small base's worth of turrets, shields, cameras, sensors and scanners. Unlike automated systems, they cannot be spliced into, and unlike civilian staff, they are still capable of defending themselves to a notable degree.

  • Vulnerable Limbs: Though their torso and vital organs are protected by thick armored plates taken from the design of the Kabe Heavy Security Uniform. NSTs lack any real protection for their arms and legs, simply donning basic uniform fabrics.

The Nakaioma Security Technician is the primary support unit employed by Nakaioma Security Services, recruited from a combination of specialist Nakaioma academies, and from the existing population of technical experts, these personnel are lightly armed, but highly capable in their multitude of functions. Cybernetically enhanced with Nakaioma NeuroProcessors, they are renowned for their ability to rapidly adapt to any number of technologies and skillsets, required of them by either their client or their parent corporation. The successor to the former class of technicians, who were far less rigidly trained or reliable than the NSTs, the current incarnation of the corporation's security technicians came about shortly following Saro Nakaioma's ascension to power as the parent corporation's Chief Executive Officer. Ordering an overhaul of Nakaioma Security Services, and the introduction of a more regulated, and trained body of technical professionals, who could also serve a combat role if necessary.

Equipped with a variety of state-of-the-art tools, Technicians can use most forms of technology given to them by prospective clients, granting them great flexibility in their usefulness, no matter what region of the galaxy, what planet, or what client they are assigned to. Protected by a Kita-Kabe Security Vest, comprised of the same materials as the Kabe Heavy Security Uniform, their vital organs are nigh-guaranteed to be shielded from many forms of attacks, though their limbs remain largely vulnerable, many Technicians frequently adopt Fukashi-brand cybernetics, either by corporation order, or personal desire. As such it is not uncommon to find Technicians packing subdermal armor, enhancing their level of protection. In the midst of an active combat scenario, they will often remain behind Security Officers and Enforcers, and harass the enemy with drones, turrets and any other number of offensive and defensive weaponry at their disposal. Like other classifications of NSS personnel, Technicians are paid the big credits to guarantee clients an extra level of discretion and loyalty.

This is a really good submission. There are a couple of things I need to clarify.

Image Credit | The image you are using is from Cyberpunk... which is fine,, however I notice your company name is edited on the laptop. If that is an edit can please indicate that you edited the image since linking to the game site does not produce the image you are using. With that said, if you can provide a better image credit source that would also be optimal.

Weaknesses | The codex does not generally check for balance, however the template does suggest a minimum of 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses. Since you have only one weakness listed I think it would be beneficial to come up with at least one additional weakness.

Tag me once you have those quick edits done, and I will take another look.
