OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Naishas-tatek
  • Designation: Semi-sentient
  • Origins: Amaltanna
  • Average Lifespan: 120 Galactic Standard Years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: Building upon the Natasizi-tatek, the Naishas-tatek is an even more fearsome creature to encounter. Larger, with even more black armor plating covering it and enhanced claws and fangs, and prominent horns that crackle with dark side energy, the new monsters are an impressive and brutal Sithspawn. Even worse, or better on how you look at it, are the massive pair of wings that have been forged into their forms that allow them far more maneuverability and the ability to hunt their prey for even longer distances.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type 1
  • Average Height of Adults: 6.5 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Black to a dark dried blood red, occasionally an ashen gray
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most distinctive physical traits of the Naishas-tatek are, of course, the prominent horns on its head and the large pair of wings that have been incorporated into their body. Their bodies also are even more heavily armored than their lesser brethren while their claws on their hands and feet and their fangs are even more malicious weapons they can use.
  • Races: No other races
  • Force Sensitivity: All
Strengths:
  • Between additional Sith alchemy introduced in their creation, and the genetic traits of the Arkanian dragon specimens that were introduced into the creatures, Naishas-tateks are incredibly resistant to conventional weaponry such as blasters, slugthrowers, melee weapons, and even lightsabers due to the enhanced scales that cover their body like armor.
  • Naishas-tateks, like their lesser cousins such as the Terentatek and the Natasizi-tatek, are resistant to a majority of Force powers, making it an even more terrifying foe for a Force user to encounter.
  • In the creation process, the Lady of Secrets and her alchemists were able to gift the species with several Force abilities along with partially uplifting them to a semi-sentient state. The powers the Naishas-tateks can access are:
    • Force Lightning (Channeled through their horns to summon bolts of lightning or through their claws in a normal manner as a dark sider)
    • Pyrokinesis (Can either create balls of fire in their hands or channel it from their mouths in a breath attack due to the Arkanian dragon heritage)
    • Force Fear
    • Force Rage
  • The claws and fangs of the Naishas-tatek carry a potent and insidious dark side created poison that slowly alters the brain chemistry and memories of the victim if they survive an encounter with the Sithspawn and don't receive treatment. Victims will start to confuse allies as enemies and lash out at them, hallucinate traumatic and rage inducing memories, and start to draw on the dark side if they are a Force user and become corrupted in a slow and hidden manner as they become paranoid of friends and offers of help from light siders.
  • While obvious, the Naishas-tatek are able to fly long distances through the use of their wings.
Weaknesses:
  • While their armor is very impressive and protects them from a wide variety of weapons and damage, heavy caliber weapons can damage their armor and potentially injure or kill them. Force-imbued weapons of the light through alkahest can also slice through and damage their armor.
  • While they are highly resistant to a majority of Force powers, there are a few that can overwhelm their resistance and damage them such as Force Light.
  • If they are within a void bubble created by a ysalamir or void stone, they cannot use any of their gifted Force powers.
  • Like Natasizi-tatek, if their horns become damaged, the dark side energies within their bodies will rage out of control and they will burn up from the inside from a mixture of fire and lightning.
  • While their armored bodies are resistant to most weapons, the membranes of their wing is much weaker. Any damage to their wings will result in them being unable to fly until the damage is healed.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivore, particularly enjoys the meat and blood of those aligned with the Light side of the Force
  • Communication: They can understand commands given to them through the Sith language or through the dark side telepathically, but they have also begun to develop their own language (only understandable among their own kind) as their sentience has increased. they can also issue roars and snarls towards lesser terentatek or Natasizi-tatek they have dominated.
  • Technology level: As they have gained some level of sentience through the process of the Lady of Secrets, Naishas-tateks are have started to use rudimentary tools suited to a more primitive species, but they still prefer the use of their powers and claws for most activities.
  • Religion/Beliefs: While not completely identifiable as a belief system yet, Naishas-tateks have been observed creating what some Order of Arcane Syn researchers say are shrines. Very crude and generally just rock they have shaped through their fire or lightning or claws into a rough figure and placed in their lairs, it still shows the continued evolution of their minds and could very well blossom into a full belief system with further experimentation and time.
  • General behavior:
    • As they are an evolution/enhancement of an apex predator, they have quickly dominated their lesser brethren and taken their spot at the top of the food chain on Amaltanna. With their new role, lesser terentateks and Natasizi-tateks have come to a servile role to the Naishas-tateks, bringing them essentially tribute to their lairs or serving them in a role similar to a bodyguard or soldiers. Besides their minions, they are solitary creatures with a fierce jealousy of others of their kind that become contests of dominance among themselves. These struggles can only be put aside when a Sith Lord or another dark sider of sufficient will has taken command of them.
    • When dealing with prey, their impulses to dominate translate into their hunting behaviors. Lesser creatures, they will handle in a dismissive fashion, almost pridefully. They will generally send their minions to kill them, but if their minions are not present, they will only use their claws and strength as they are not deserving of being dispatched through their powers. Stronger prey, such as weaker Force users or skilled commando, will be handled in different ways as they will adapt their tactics depending on what they have observed from their opponent, whether they use ambush tactics, fake injury, or outright overwhelm them. For a strong Force user, they will not hold back and will use every ounce of their power and cunning to defeat them.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

With the need for a continued evolution within the species of Sithspawn that could be unleashed by the Sith within the shadows, the Lady of Secrets and her followers began further experiments on one of their more powerful creatures: the Natasizi-tatek. The creature was already an improvement upon the base terentatek species, but the desire to push their design further, to make an even more powerful version was too tempting for Darth Arcanix. Utilizing some of her influence, the Order of Arcane Syn acquired a few specimens of Arkanian dragons for use in several different experiments being pursued by her alchemists and geneticists. For this project, however, the DNA structures of a dragon were harvested and then introduced into the birthing pod of a Natasizi-tatek.

Using Sith alchemy, the development of the species was focused down a new path. Wings began to form on the gestating monster, its scales becoming darker and stronger as the energies warped its abilities. A partial uplifting ritual was included in the Sith magics at working, and several alchemists at the direction of their mistress, began empowering rituals on the new creature to grant it access to several different Force powers that would compliment its desired role.

When the new creature was fully formed and broke free of its pod, it was dubbed the Naishas-tatek and several more of the former experiments in gestation were placed into the same process. The new monsters quickly displaced their previous forms from their role as an apex predator on Amaltanna, showcasing their increase in an intelligence and problem-solving, along with their powerful abilities and gifts, would make them a dangerous foe for any that they encountered.

Broadly, I'd say you've done well to create a powerful creature while still giving it actionable weaknesses. I'll give you the same caution I usually do when I approve beasts like this: make sure that none of the abilities are construed as an auto-hit, or this will probably be reported for balance concerns and we'll end up back here. The poison, in particular, should be carefully handled; suffering from the venom, like taking a hit, must be only by consent of the affected character. You already know all this, I'm just stating it explicitly for the judgement.

In the future I wouldn't include "can't use the force when in a Void Stone or Ysalamir bubble", since nothing can; it's a bit like saying "dies when its head is cut off", a universal weakness rather than one specific to this creature. Not worth requiring an edit, though.

Approved, please use them wisely.
