  • Duranium exterior plating reinforced by impervium coating and ablative inertial damper.
STRENGTHS
  • Mobile Resupply: The MRV-7 can resupply individuals with munitions, equipment, and whatever else they might need from starships in low-atmosphere and orbit. The orbital insertion pods launched by an MRV-7 system are able to track and resupply an individual on the go through its innovative hands-free resupply system.
  • High Survivability: The orbital insertion pods of the system are fast, maneuverable, and small, making them hard to hit targets. Not being weapons, they are also unsuspecting and point defenses may neglect to destroy them entirely since they would not be deemed a threat. On top of that, defensive armoring of the drop pods further insures the resupply.
WEAKNESSES
  • Preconfiguration: The MRV-7 is manufactured without a standard supply manifest and must be calibrated for the type of munitions that it can resupply. This makes individuals unable to access or severely limits their use of systems that have not been calibrated to their own loadout.
  • Armor Integration: To properly use the hands-free resupply system, an MRV-7 system must be calibrated and integrated with an individual's armor or equipment.
  • Infantry Only: The MRV-7 is not intended to carry heavy loads and can only roughly supply several individuals at maximum capacity per orbital insertion unit. It does not have the ability to transport large ordnance for use by vehicles or large weapon emplacements.
  • Dependent: The system must be installed in some sort of larger construct -- starship, vehicle, station -- that can be the subject of attack or sabotage.
DESCRIPTION
Many wars have not been won by decisive battles, but by attrition. Many warriors have fell not due to their lack of martial prowess, but because of their lack of ammunition or medical supplies to sustain them. The MRV-7 Ta'niyr Orbital Infantry Resupply System is the Enclave's solution, in part, to that issue; a system that can resupply individuals on the go, wherever they might be, from orbit.

The MRV-7 can resupply individuals on the go with munitions, equipment, and whatever else they might need. The base operating system is installed in some sort of larger mobile construct -- it may be a starship, large vehicle, or orbital station -- from which orbital insertion pods are launched that serve as the vehicles that perform a resupply. The MRV-7 features an innovative hands-free resupply design, possible through integration with an individual's armor systems; smaller modules can detach from the main vehicle that will attach themselves to various hardpoints on an individual's armor to reload various systems. This integration also allows for automatic resupply when an armor system indicates that its reserves are low, although this automatic resupply can be manually overridden. However, the high level of integration required by the system for full operation means that each MRV-7 system is highly customized to the individual it services, making 'sharing' of the resupply system extremely difficult if not outright impossible.

The system is extremely well-protected, designed to prevent interference in the resupply as much as possible. The orbital insertion pods are small, fast, and maneuverable, able to evade hostile weaponry just as well as they can maneuver to resupply users on the go. The vehicles are well armored as well, able to take punishment with little consequence. The nature of the orbital insertion pods adds another layer of protection, as they are not technically 'armed' automatic defensive systems may not target them, and their unconventional nature makes them unsuspecting to enemies. Simply put, most do not expect a flying pod to automatically resupply their Mandalorian pods. The system operates on a closed, protected two-way network between the system itself and users integrated with it. This protects it reasonably from hacking and sabotage. However, elements outside of the system's control can interfere with its functions, such as the starship it is installed in not being able to safely operate in the orbit or atmosphere of a planet.

Altogether, the Ta'niyr is an innovative and unconventional method that addresses a common problem faced by many Mandalorians and can be a critical lifesaver in times of great need.
