OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Astronomical Location Name: Moon 687
  • Classification: Moon.
  • Location: lego, one of the planet's 1,000 moons.
  • Rotational Period: 24 hours.
  • Orbital Period: 365 days.
  • Size: Medium, Moon 687 is a relatively large astronomical object and moon, though not nearly as large as the planet that it orbits.
  • Affiliation:
    • Publicly, Moon 687 is still under the ownership of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, under the guise that the moon is so worthless that no one in their right mind would ever try to buy it. Privately, Moon 687 is under the ownership and control of Galen Tagge, having been purchased by him for a paltry 5,000 Underworld Credits, his ship The Titus and, strangely, a gift card for some sort of chain restaurant called "Pizza Hutt", though Imperial records have been unable to find any sort facility that matches the description of this so called "Pizza Hutt". Whether this gift card is in fact a key card to some sort of supply cache, an item that the Hutts of the Outer Rim would find useful or simply a psyop to trick the Imperial Remnant into thinking they obtained something of value remains unknown.
  • Population: Uninhabited, Moon 687 does not contain any sort of native life on its surface, though it is technically capable of supporting living beings on and underneath its surface. That being said, it may be to Galen Tagge's benefit to keep moon looking like it is uninhabited, to prevent anyone from wanting to explore it for any reason.
  • Demographics: If any organic species or droids reside on Moon 687, it is because they have been brought in from the outside by Galen Tagge himself. As previously stated, Moon 687 does not possess any native life, nor a single majority of sentient or droids unless otherwise brought to the moon by Galen.
  • Accessibility: Because the planet lego is rather isolated and out of the way, accessing Moon 687 can be quite challenging. Furthermore, as a part of the thousand moons orbiting the planet, actually finding the moon within the plethora of celestial bodies around lego can be quite difficult. Any restrictions on visiting the moon itself are subject to Galen Tagge himself, though Imperial authorities have permission to visit the moon completely unannounced should they wish to do so.
  • Description: Outwardly, Moon 687 is an utterly worthless astronomical object, possessing a Type IV atmosphere and no distinguishing features to speak of on its cold, lifeless surface. Scans have indicated no materials or minerals of value anywhere on or underneath Moon 687, and the moon itself possesses no soil to grow crops or medicine. Of the many moons of lego, Moon 687 is one that no person in their right mind would ever want to visit, let alone purchase. In reality, however, this is hardly the full story, because Moon 687 is actually already owned by the infamous Galen Tagge as his personal safehouse should he ever need to hide or disappear. Moon 687 actually possesses a Type I atmosphere,, adequate mineral deposits and extensive underground caverns capable of supporting large numbers of people of building. In essence, Moon 687 is the perfect place for anyone looking to hide away from the galaxy, something that the Imperial Remnant knows all too well about.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • There is not a single point of interest anywhere on the surface of Moon 687. The entire moon is completely devoid of life or interesting rock formations, being nearly completely flat and possessing no water, soil, or anything that might make it an attractive place to settle on or visit.
  • Secretly, however, Moon 687 possess extensive caverns underneath its surface, caverns large enough to house large structures or amounts of people. To dissuade anyone from looking into these caverns, the Imperial Remnant has spread the rumor that Moon 687 possesses no noteworthy minerals, materials, or metals within in, nor does it possess really anything of value. To most people, this would be enough to keep them away from the moon. But for Galen Tagge, the moon's lack of distinguishing features and abundance of underground caverns makes it the perfect place for him to establish a safehouse.
  • Particularly unusual about Moon 687 is the fact that the moon itself seems to be surrounded by a large cloud of dust and debris, almost as if something large struck the moon at some point in its existence and caused pieces of it to break off or otherwise damaged the moon itself. Despite this, Moon 687 is internally and externally structurally sound.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

When the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant completed its conquest of the lego system, it suddenly found itself in possession of over a thousand different moons, all of which orbited the rogue planet lego and were just as mysterious and diverse as lego itself. Though the Imperial Remnant found immediate use for a small number of these moons, most were judged to be too insignificant to warrant any serious attempts to develop. Instead, the Imperial Remnant decided to offer the galactic community the ability to purchase individuals moons to do with as they might see fit.

Moon 687 was one such moon, though no one ever seriously thought anyone would want to buy such a barren and lifeless astronomical object. Yet, this was exactly the kind of place that someone like Galen Tagge was looking for, who after the fall of the Second Galactic Empire, began engaging in piracy and other crimes to sustain himself and his livelihood. Having accrued numerous bounties from various planetary governments, Galen thought it wise to establish a base somewhere that he could disappear to should he need to lay low for an amount of time.

In exchange for a modest fee, including Galen's experimental interdictor, the Imperial Remnant not only sold him Moon 687 but concocted a story designed to keep people away from him, establishing such falsehoods that Moon 687 had a Type IV atmosphere and no mineral reserves when in fact neither of those things are actually true. Whether or not this will actually keep people away remains to be seen, but regardless, Moon 687 would serve anyone well as a discrete hideaway for those looking to lay low...
