Strengths and Weaknesses:

(+)Powered Endoskeleton: With the combination of energized fiber bundles and armored servomotors, underlaid beneath a protective composite outer shell, the User's strength, speed, and stamina were increased by a factor of four. The basis for this result was made by determining the human average and amplifying it thereafter with the programmable settings already implemented into the armor's functionality. To reach such levels, aside from the mechanical aspect of the suit the User had to be implanted with over a dozen neural interfaces along the length of their body, with the primary socket being housed near the base of the skull. This meant that while the suit was controlled by the electrochemical responses of One's thoughts, they would benefit from the increased reaction time from the suit itself as well as being able to approach a situation in a multitude of ways, either tactically or through the proper and sudden application of brute force.

(-)Power Source: As with all suits of powered armor known to be in use throughout the Galaxy, their demand for energy was immense and had evolved from massive stationary generators to the more portable variants able to be slipped onto a soldier's person like a knapsack. To power the Lionheart, a subatomic fusion generator was fitted into the armored housing affixed to the back of the breastplate. While it would be able to feed the intense demands of the suit for lengthy periods of time, the drawbacks with such a generator were made apparent during the initial testing phases of the suit. When the power had been used up, the generator would switch to its secondary source and run unassisted for a month - if the non-vital systems were disabled and periodically charged through the retractable micro-solar panel array. Should the housing be breached, and the generator beneath critically busted - there would be little hope of saving the suit from the fractured atomic detonation that would occur thereafter. While there were cooling systems in place to halt such a hazardous reaction resulting from the rupture, they would do little more than to stall the fatal systems breakdown - allowing the user to disengage the exterior portion of their suit, and hopefully escape the subsequent explosion. (Akin to Four Thermal Detonators.)

(-)Exorbitant Expenditure: Designed to enhance and supplement a Soldier on the battlefield, the MITAA MK I Combat Frame is a powered exoskeleton that takes the most expensive and costly military technology and combines it into a single protective package. Estimated to clock in around the cost of an entire squadron of starfighters or a small corvette, it's unlikely that such suits would ever be mass-produced nor purchased by planetary militia or small private military corporations. Thus, were a government's armed forces willing to bite the bullet and buy several of these suits, they would most likely be allocated to their Special Forces division(s) and used primarily by the most elite and veteran soldiers that faction would have to offer.

Description: In the wake of the Victory achieved in Battle over Dulvoyinn, the Lionheart Program was re-established, prioritized and advanced to the forefront of the Galactic Alliance's efforts to combat whatever new threats the One Sith and their Ilk had spawned. Thus, through the concerted efforts of the Alliance and Firemane R&D divisions, the first generation of MITAA MK I Combat Frame's was born and subsequently pushed into service before the prototype had garnered the approval of the Military Triumvirate. While such a circumstance was unorthodox, the results had spoken for themselves, leading towards the events of the present. The Lionheart was the brainchild of the Hapan Captain, Astarii Saren, and is her attempt to create a powered exoskeleton capable of responding to, and enhancing the physical prowess of those encased within the multiple overlapping layers of protection. At its core, the suit is a sealed system, capable of extravehicular, and submersible activity and is designed to be fully operational in toxic environments. In addition, the Lionheart is hardened against EMP attacks and residual radiation, while also containing filters that are effective at removing the various toxins and parasitic bacteria from a myriad of planetary atmospheres.

The armor's outer shell is composed of hardened sectional plates of Duraplast, which is further enhanced by the addition of Echani Graphite Reinforcement Mesh, allowing for the full range of human motion to be retained without sacrificing the suit's offer of defense. The portions of the armor that are not covered by the Duraplast/Graphite composite are fitted with modular pieces of Flex-armour - providing a margin of modest protection from Blaster and Projectile weapons, while being fully capable of bending and flexing to the User's demanding requirements. Having learned from the failures of previous battles throughout history, the Lionheart was designed with a retractable Duraplast gorget set into place where the breastplate sat, below the helmet. This barrier would shield the user from decapitation should they engage an enemy force in close-quarters-combat and provide a suitable form of defense against enemy snipers - should they seek to strike the vital points betwixt the separated pieces. In providing the necessary protection of the vulnerable neck section, a minor sacrifice had to be made to the movements the average Human had access too. When the gorget rose into place, the Soldier would have difficulties pressing his or her chin to their chest, completely denying them the ability to stare at their toes without having to bend their torso.

Underneath the armor plating, resides the multi-layered bodysuit which comprises the entire complex network of energized carbon fiber bundles, armored servomotors, and internal neural interface links that bond with the Soldier to enhance his strength, speed, and stamina through electrochemical signals transferred between the mind and the suit itself. This relationship between the soldier and his armor allows for the enhancement of his physical capabilities by a factor of Four, utilizing the basis of a Human's average prowess in the aforementioned areas. With a surgically implanted hub near the base and rear of the Soldier's skull, the User's thoughts command the armor's movements and mounted weapons - inputting the displayed data not only across the Helmet's HUD but directly into the mind of the Soldier him/her/itself. Thus, a symbiotic bond is made between both man and machine, making the autonomous responses (Or reaction times) marginally faster than that of an average Human Combatant. Having the suit passively feed newly acquired information directly into the Brain, allows the armored Soldier to not only act rationally but far swifter due to the resolution and commitment process being bypassed by the Kinesis between Man and Machine.

Finally, the suit also possesses various features that enhance the user's spatial awareness and combat capabilities. Within the helm alone, there is a multitude of military-grade sensors, communication devices, and vision assistance software packages that would put many top of the line products to shame with its sophistication and price. From there the modularity of the exterior plates comes into play. With numerous implanted clips, belts, and magnetic hardpoints, the Lionheart is easily the most versatile suit of powered armor to be ever created, allowing the user to adorn him/her/itself with the arsenal and equipment required to surmount whatever obstacles that may lay in the path to towards Victory.
