I will be undertaking a mission to Rafa IV. It is the world which is known to grow life crystals. I would like to procure some for the Hall of Healers.

Would anyone like to accompany me?

Umm.. Not one to burst a bubble, I love joint group missions.. but Life Crystals are bad for everyone. They drain sentients of their intelligence. The reason why people "feel" better, is because they are too well.. dumb to realize the difference.

I don't want the intelligence of our Circle of Healers to get zapped >.>

Not to mention, kinda destroyed.

Life crystals, found in the system of Rafa, were a mysterious type of crystal that many claimed were good for the body when kept in close proximity. The crystals were harvested from trees that only grew in "Life Gardens" which could only be harvested by manual labor which was reserved for the local less intelligent humanoids and criminals from out of system. In actuality, the trees were a device used to sap the intelligence of the general population, a safety precaution to prevent the conquest of the Sharu civilization.

This effect drained the intelligence of the mythical Sharu, turning them into the Toka. When Lando Calrissian and Vuffi Raa discovered the Mindharp of Sharu, the intelligence of the Toka was restored, turning them back into the Sharu. This action also destroyed the Life Gardens, effectively putting an end to the production of life-crystals.

Now if I can offer an alternative for the Healers... How about a mission to...

*grabbing more info*

1.Barenth healing plant was a endangered, natural, healing plant from Barenth.

2. Or perhaps, go on a quest to find Healing Crystals of Fire, since the crystals were lost during the Great Jedi Purge. Maybe even find the cave that they were produced? It would be great to have these in the Healer's circle again.

3. Mother-rock - The mother-rock was a red colored stone found on the planet Dagobah. Jedi Master Yoda believed that the stone possessed healing powers

Yes, but when Merr activated the mindshard, it destroyed all the life groves along with destroying a bulk of the Rafa system and much of the Toka civilization since the Sharu originally put in the life crystal devices to protect themselves from being conquered by the Celestials. ( by making themselves too dumb so as to not provide a temptation from any one )

There are no life crystals per se to be collected from life groves, because they haven't been in production since the entire groves were destroyed.

Arguably, what you -can- do is claim that there are a few crystals floating around in the blackmarket, as per canon, after the fall of the republic, they were sold at ridiculous prices. But to collect them directly from the system? Unfortunately no, because they were created by a civilization that had their history wiped.

It's just that searching for Healing Crystals of Fire whereabouts or their original cave makes more sense, because the stones were used to help heal serious wounds. They are named for the eternal flames that burned inside each crystal, and per canon, the crystals were said and confirmed to be able to bring an individual back from the brink of death.

This is bad and can be viewed as a Dark Side option. Healing should bring the person back to how they were not make them so stupid they don't know their in pain. @[member="Rianna Organa"] I would go with one of Kira's options instead to be on the safe side.

There is no death there is only the Force.

I've introduced four when I began restructuring the Hall of Healers, since the original Hall of Healers was destroyed and the Hearts stolen, or destroyed. I've used them in some of the rps, I've been in.

However, the assumption was that there would be somewhere up to 8 or 12 to provide this realm of protection within the Hall of Healers for the injured, and near dead. And under great protection, only one may removed from the vault at a time for use on long distance missions.

The other story had other benefits for Rianna the character, that I'm not sure how to work out right now.

If enough people want to continue on the other note, that's ok with me. I just have to have time to rethink what I intended to do.
