Mieke Balefire is a career Ryk Naval Commissioned Officer by trade Mieke is a fighter pilot and physicist who was promoted out of flying practice and assumed an executive officer role aboard a Ryk carrier-class warship, where she served for decades before assuming a command. Eventually, Mieke would succeed the previous Lord of Admirals in 890 ABY after a distinguished career that ranged from being a hot-shot starfighter pilot, carrier-frigate commander and, finally, a staff officer. Mieke is a woman with an appreciation for learning, and during her time as an operational warship commander learned how to read aurebesh and speak Galactic Basic Standard.
