Based on the nomination thread, there are two candidates for the role of Faction Owner. Both Amelia von Sorenn and Jonyna Si are currently on staff and very solid options to lead the faction.

Just wanted to come back to this thread since there were indeed confirmed reports of attempted voter fraud using alts.

The SWRP Staff Team did go light on the bans, this time. We are charitable towards user’s potential mistakes and misunderstandings to almost a self-defeatist degree, because we usually defer to the most sympathetic argument made in Staff deliberations.

But make no mistake, the numbers of this poll are inaccurate because we’re all too lazy to remove the violating votes manually. The perpetrators not only lose their alts votes, they lose their own votes, too. I do not care for excuses, I do not care for reasons, and I do not care for the sympathy.

To cheat is to lose, completely and entirely.

I dream of a day in which we can endure close contests without requiring an overly strict Staff team employing guard rails on our environment, because we self-regulated. It will never happen, but I am a strong dreamer. Honor and integrity are traits best found in our fiction, I fear.
