Hello High Republic Members!
I know this might be out of left field for some of you, but it is time for a new round of selecting your fearless leader of the Republic! I have had a blast telling stories with you all and coordinating fun stories with other factions. But! It has been nearly 2 years on Admin Staff here and 1 year as MFO. It is time for new ideas, new story arcs, and a new head honcho as voice of the faction.
I will still be around to write and be a member of THR, i'm not heading anywhere, just stepping back from staff here. I find myself interested in personal story arcs and other projects that I may be interested in starting, so it would be a disservice to you all just to hold the position and you not have someone who is giving you 100%.
So with that being said… I have been working with THR staff to give you all a reasonable nomination from our staff team.
Verity Stuyveris
has been the one to step up and say she would like to do it and lead you all into a great year next year! She will be my official nomination to keep the faction going and prospering on the board for you all.
This, however, is not an official decision as we as a staff team have set out to make this a faction for its members. So, while my official nomination will be for Verity, you all have the opportunity to nominate yourself or another member of the faction. There is no wrong nomination, please feel like you can say whoever you would like! I will note, everyone else in the staff team has declined to be nominated, so please keep your nominations outside of that if you choose to do so.
Last time we did this, 10 faction posts in 6 months seemed to be a reasonable metric for members to be able to nominate/vote in these things. So please be mindful, if you have not met this metric, I would like to leave this choice to those who actively write here.
This nomination thread will be open until Tuesday night (USA time). Members have to accept said nomination before Tuesday night to officially be considered. If there is only one nominated person come Tuesday night, there will be no need to go on to a MFO Vote and it will be called there. Should there be more than one candidate, we will move on to a voting thread following that.
