OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create an NPC Gang for Marcellus.
  • Image Credit: The Black Hole Gang
  • Role: Street Gang
  • Links: N/A

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Group Name: Marc's Boys
  • Classification: Expansive Street Gang
  • Headquarters: Nar Shadaa
  • Loyalties: Marcellus Decker
  • Group Sigil: N/A
  • Description: Formed by Marcellus Decker, under the guidance and sponsorship of Drogge The Hutt, Marc's boys are a loosely bound group of thugs, mercenaries, and gangsters who have serviced the Hutt families. Most members have been in the service of the Hutt's for years, if not their entire lives. Many of the core members are childhood friends or coworkers of Marcellus. The gang is mainly comprised of Humans, Twi'leks, and Weequay, however there are several other species of aliens within the gang.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Hierarchy: The group, at it's height, has maintained a small ranking structure to help facilitate command.
  • Boss: The leader of Marc's Boys, usually held by Marcellus himself.
  • Lieutenant: The Marcellus gang usually has at least two Lieutenants at any given time, they are the leaders of the gangs operations and movements in the absence of the Boss. These men are considered Marcellus' only confidants.
  • Sergeant-at-arms: The Sergeant at arms usually takes control of small operations and groups of 3-5 gang members. They are members who have been in the gang since it's conception or earned the trust of Marcellus.
  • Full Brother/Sister: The term, "brother" is loosely thrown around, and this is the base rank of the gang.
  • Hang around: Hand arounds are not full members of the gang, but are prospects who wish to be members. They are usually given odd jobs, sometimes demeaning, until they have proven their worth.
Membership: Joining the gang is fairly simple. A man need only be introduced to the gang by a full member of the gang, explaining his wishes to join. The prospect must go through a minor background check, and if he passes he will be marked as a hang around. Hang arounds usually maintain their rank for a year before becoming a full member. In that time they are tested with difficult missions, sometimes even including murder, and examined to see if they have what it takes to be one of Marc's Boys.
Dogma/Doctrines: The gang members each hold to their own beliefs and standards, however there are some base rules that can not be violated. The biggest rule is, a brother will never betray another brother. Violation of this rule is automatic cause for excommunication from the gang, usually through execution.
Curios: The members of the gang have no set attire or curio to show their loyalty, however many of the gang members have tattooed the initials, "MB" onto their bodies as a show of loyalty.
Goals: Marc's Boys have always been notoriously loyal to Marcellus in supporting his operations, however the overall goal of the gang has and will always be to get rich.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
In reaction to Drogge The Hutt granting him his own casino in the Kessel Sector, Marcellus formed his own gang to claim territory on the planet. The gang was originally formed from members of Drogge's Army (The gang used by the Hutt to police his territory on Nal Hutta) who worked with Marcellus and came to respect the man. When talks of expansion off of Nal Hutta began, Marcellus started recruiting men to join him in the new casino. These men were often called, "Marc's boys."

The gang followed Marcellus to Kessel and worked well together under the man. Holding their faith in him, they even supported him when he split from Drogge's regime. Most of the gang was wiped out during the blowback from the secession, but many of the survivors remained loyal to Marcellus. Those who did, were eager to join him when he escaped from the Troiken spice mines to rebuild his gang and take back his territory.
