Auction Mandal Hypernautics: Mega-Auction

A lone figure raised his hand and bid. A quiet, clipped, and formal voice emerged from the beaked mask he wore.

"For Lot A, the details on manufacturing Mortis Caligine as well as, say, one million credits in... Antiquities..." said the voice.

The Good Doctor had come to bid.

Every item I have ever made has a Market Value listed both on my Character Profile Page and on Mandal Hypernautics Marketplace Page. Bids of 4% and 0.5% Market Value on the main two lots of an Auction are, frankly, unacceptable and insulting.

Ice had been getting annoyed for a while at the sporadic nature of the bids. However, he supposed that was the nature of auctions. Actually what had annoyed him the most was a certain young woman...the pregnant woman no less, that had been knocked out by the gas grenades from earlier was back and putting in bids that completely ignored earlier bids posted by both himself and others. Ice wasn't sure on what planet it was acceptable to offer a lower credit amount, or a substantially lower credit amount than two other people. But she was apparently from it. He also found it amusing that she felt her goodwill apparently had a value. Perhaps he should get more information on her. In any event, he placed new bids to hopefully knock her out of the competition for good.

Then there was his earlier mando competition. Although he was completely mystified by the massive bid placed on some of the least expensive items in the auction, he got to thinking. No credits had been put down. What if that information, if although valuable to the Black Suns, wasn't of any value what so ever to Larraq? Deciding there was no harm in at least trying to see if cold hard credits would out do the bid, he put in enough to overcome the previous cash bid and waited to see the end results of the auction with keen interest.

Not before over bidding the only other contender to what he was after though.

That's fine and all -- but not everyone looks at your bio! But as the normal surveyor judge of the auction house, as a piece of advice should probably have linked that in your opening post so folks know and aren't guessing xD

Meanwhile, Danger would take another sip of her tea. She'd glance over at Rave, "Seen anything of particular you may nab last minute?" she asked.

Either way, it was an excellent social outing. And she caught up on gossip!

I would like to thank you all for your participation in this Auction. I would like to especially thank those who helped to make this Auction an IC event as much as an OOC event and apologize for not being more active during my own auction.

Lot D: 1x Ani'jarkiv Limo - Awarded to [member="Aditya Amadis"] for Participation

Danger would be pleased she was able to aquire the limo. Certainly would be useful whenever she would have guests that needed to be transported in style.

None the less, she would glance over the remaining lots. There she would ponder. Could she perhaps offer something under the table to purchase the items at a discounted price?

Hmm, much to think about. Either way, she was interested in getting those Harvesters. She'll have to see what she could get with a bulk order.

Sabrina sent a message to the auctioneer and asking about the limousine
Your bid for Lot C was out-bid by a bid of roughly 100x the size of your previous bid. By Danger.

Sannika squinted at the results list, wondering why her bid for the minimum exceeding price was not counted...
I debated this one. A minimum acceptable bid would have been in the 2,000,000 credit range. Considering the previous bid on the frigate was 10,000 credits, I could not see a reason why your character would ever make a bid 200 times larger than the last previous bid without you expressly stating as much.

Dyn stopped as the blond waif tripped and fell to the ground. In his haste and desire to escape without a chase being given he reached down quickly and hauled her to her feet and placed his blaster to her side as he began backing away as fast as her heels could carry her.

Tsolan got up from his seat, satisfied in his winnings. However, as he turned his golden eyes narrowed a the sight of [member="Dyn Hela"]. "Kark!" Getting up from his feet he started a quick walk towards the hunter, certainly quicker than him as he didn't need to worry about a body shield. "You will release her. She will be unharmed. If I swear to the stars of Korriban, I'll put you down right here." His right hand lifted up as he spoke, crackling with electricity while his voice placed a large pressure on Dyn's mind. He didn't know [member="Silara Vantai"] personally, but he had seen her in passing among the sith.

Lifted to her feet and dragged along by the heels of her.. heels, Silara found herself hostage by a particularly muscular man, whom she presumed was either a bounty hunter or a hired gun. While she was certainly more than capable of defending herself, she was more than aware of [member="Captain Larraq"]'s prejudice towards Sith, and if she performed any form of force lightning at this moment she was essentially signing herself up for death at the firing squad - regardless of the odds for her escape if she were to do so. "Hey, I'll make it up for you real nice if you drop me and run." She whispered with the tilt of her head, a smug grin on her face. She more than implied what could potentially happen, but the message relayed over her earpiece that the auction was over caused her to sigh out with a pained expression. "Forget it. The auction ended, do what you want." Silara said with a disappointed tone.

"Funny thing about swearing by the stars of Korriban. They don't actually give a crap."

She was late, and she was pissed, and she wasn't wearing her helmet or the armor that came with it. Bando Gora blue eyes gave Tsolan a slow blink, not even pausing on the meathead with the Sith hostage.

"Put that lightning away before the Mandalorians dogpile you, whether or not you're here legitimately, whether or not this situation's a mess. Much like your favorite stars, they don't give a crap either. All they're gonna see is a yellowbellied Sith Master shoving lightning in the general direction of someone a metric fethton weaker than him." She glanced at Dyn. "No offence."

Then she looked down at herself and looked up again at Tsolan. "Hey, whaddaya know...they're here."

Rygel Larraq was not all that happy about the Auction. A huge chunk of items were never bid on and an equally large chunk of items... had only received pocket change as bids. This auction was to help get Mandal Hypernautics' name out on the wider galactic market with the showcase item of a Mesen'Loras Bio-Corvette and a custom starship made to order... Then there was the electronic warfare capabilities that Mandal Hypernautics had put up for grabs. And yet... By and large, the auction was a total failure. The Mandalorian played nice for the crowd. He smiled and thanked individuals as they made their way to various shuttles and transports waiting to escort them from the resort.

But with one terrorist at large, his security force had a great deal to do before they made it up to their employer.

When Rygel Larraq saw that the same terrorist had not only made it back into the building, but that he was causing problems once again... Larraq was furious. "All teams. Converge on ballroom four." Was all Larraq could get out before he himself noticed the glowing hands of one of his patrons. The unmistakable crackle of Force Lightning threatening to be unleashed. "Sith presence confirmed in ballroom four, along with a man matching the descriptions of our... uninvited guest."

As Larraq's private army of Hyperion Security guards and soldiers made their way towards that particular area of the resort, Larraq drew his own weapons. His Beskar Saber found its way to his right hand and his left hand had pulled the pistol from behind the small of his back. One foot trod in front of the other and Larraq zeroed in on the cluster of troublemakers that were busily turning his auction into a further disgrace.

Vulpesen twitched as he felt the rising hostilities in those around him. Turning to [member="Captain Larraq"], he placed made sure to keep his face hidden under his mask. "I assure you, I am no threat and for now I wish to be on your side." The words were sincere. he had no wish to kill any of the mandalorians, no all he currently wanted to do was crush the man who had ruined an otherwise, good auction. "The same goes for you miss Varanin I am skilled enough to avoid any unnecessary pain. And I believe that if you're going to hit someone, you do it right."

Rygel Larraq had heard a great many lies in his time. As a businessman who made a living working with thieves and lawyers alike, he had gotten pretty good at spotting them. He had also had the pleasure of watching as a great number of people attempted to cover their rears by saying anything and everything they could think of. Throughout it all, one overarching theme remained consistent. Sith, no matter what words came from their mouths, could not be trusted. If they were foolish or egotistical enough to not know how to hide their connection to the dark side of the force... Then they were all the more dangerous.

"You speak pretty lies, Sith." Larraq said simply as he finished his approach. He brought his pistol level with the man's chest and listened the the thudding of Mandalorian boots as his men approached. He could hear them in his ear (communicator) as they reported their location and readiness level. Each squad reported in turn as they closed in on the site where the fight had broken out. Here and there, guests turned in worry as they saw Mandalorians swarm towards the center of the resort. Larraq, for his part, didn't care what the guests thought as he pulled the trigger.

A Sith was a Sith.

And this one would yield or die.
