The Planet of Mancharakorkon is the only planet in the system itself and orbits a white dwarf star that is far away from the planet. The Orbital Period of the Planet is 4.41 years; The Rotational Period is 27 Hours,30 Minutes & 12 Seconds.

  • Climate: Average Temperature is 35 Degrees Celsius (95 Degrees Fahrenheit). Swamp Biome for the entire planet except for the few marshlands that are dotted among the swamp itself.
  • Primary Terrain: The Entire Planet is primarily Swamp land with variation to how dense it is in some areas. There are also a few marshlands mixed in with the primary swamp dotted across the landscape.

LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Great Bog of Manchar
  • Planetary Features: The Planet of Mancharakorkon is primarily a massive swamp with a few marshlands mixed into the terrain. Most of the swamp is untamed and wild animals & plants grow unhindered by industrial development. There are many ruins on the planet; that are connected to the Ancient Hutt Empire who established a presence on the planet for the untapped native species that could be used as a workforce; although many of the ruins have begun to sink into the dense swamp water. The Populace of the Planet usually live in villages built into the swamp or the large trees on the planet that they have made into cities. The Planet itself is primarily wild. The only difference between the capital city and the regular cities is the distinct Grand Chieftain Abode; which is made of fresher materials and is larger than the rest of the housing and sits at the highest advantage point of the city itself.

  • The Great Bog of Manchar is the capital city of the Planet of Mancharakorkon and where most of the Northern Tribe Mancharunk Live; it is of a slightly higher level in terms of standard of living compared to the other villages that inhabit the world due in part to the Grand Chieftain having more resources to expand his settlement with fleshier materials. Even then it is a shoddy construction of wood supported by strong outer frame
    • The Grand Chieftain Abode: The Grand Chieftain's Palace occupies the highest level of the Capital City. Allowing them to see out into the surrounding swamp to gaze at the areas that they control; although small to any observation from outside the city itself. The Highest Level is a large platform that is meant to hold the Chieftain's Residence and various other tribal buildings that are significant.

  • The Outsider Settlement is the only settlement permitted to allow the rare foreigners that visit the world a place to stay; the Mancharunk Species reused an Ancient Hutt Empire settlement and fixed up the place using more well crafted materials to make sure that the outsiders stay away from their villages to prevent them corrupting the local traditions that the tribes have. The buildings of the settlement are grander than anywhere else on the planet; even the Capital City is nothing compared to it. The Settlement itself covers a large area and was built onto a lake. It is covered with ornate golden and blue symbolism; as a tribute to the sky slugs that owned the settlement previously.
    • One Eye Cantina: The One Eye Cantina is the largest building in the Outsider Settlement; and suits the needs of the foreigners that visit the world with various items that they may need during their stay. As such the cantina itself is made to resemble a temple like building with a hotel inside to impress outsiders so that they don't leave the settlement grounds; built of the best local materials and materials smuggled in by foreigners to spruce up the place. The One Eye Cantina is named such; due to the One Eye Mancharunk who resides inside and is the owner of the establishment.

  • Paranoda's Cavern is named after the Hutt Lorda of the Mancheron Kajidic; Paranoda the Hutt. It is an underground refinery that has been turned into a lavish palace to house the mancheron kajidic away from their primary base on Darvannis. Its entrance is extremely hidden and even the local mancharunk tribes have no way of telling anyone where it is; as they themselves haven't found it and Paranoda would like to keep it that way.
    • Paranoda's Refinery Palace is located deep in an underground cavern; a lavish palace has been built out of the ruins of the once mighty refinery that operated during the Ancient Hutt Empire's Rule over the Planet in the Distant Past. With a single entrance that is hidden among the dense marshes and swamps; only the guardsman of the complex are aware of its location and rarely interact with the natives save for trade relations or policing the Outsider Settlement.
  • SWAMP
  • Lake of the Purple Crystals is a sacred center for the Mancharunk Species; gathering there for ceremonies and rites conducted by the populace. With large trees with purple crystals jetting out of them make for a rare and natural occurrence where the crystal light will shine into the water to make it glow and sparkle. There is also an unknown skeleton of a large beast in that area; to which the natives believe is the last known large predator on the planet who died in the waters.

  • Order of the Swamp Grove Temple is the location of the monastery for the Sages of the Mancharunk Species; built deep in the swamp and covered with ornate wood statues and carvings that line its white and gold walls. This provides a secondary scared place as they believed that the spirits of Mar Nuna and Mar Kulo (The Dark Side and Light Side) reside in the temple and can communicate with the sages inside. This also serves as the main religious place for the species; as they gather here for special ceremonies and the coronation of the New Grand Chieftain and Spirit Sage; when the previous dies from either battle or natural causes. The Monastery is the most advanced building on the planet; due to having been used by the Ancient Hutt Empire as a meeting place.

  • The Ancient Vessel is a large ship of the Ancient Jed'aii Order that has crashed in the dense swamps of Mancharakorkon. Inside the vessel is advanced weaponry such as blasters; cannons and other advance technology that was onboard such as lightsabers. Most of the ship has fallen apart and sank into the deep swamp water; where it is almost impossible to refind due to the murky conditions of the water itself. The Natives guard this vessel because they believe it came from the Sky Slugs; Otherwise known as Hutts who came during the Ancient Hutt Empire to the world; the only people permitted in the area is the Eastern Tribe; as they are the inventors and traders of the species who can sell this stuff to the Outsiders for food and other items.
POPULATION
  • Native Species: The Mancharunk Species
  • Immigrated Species: This world is unattractive to move to due to the dense swamps and marshlands that occupy the planet; so there are few immigrations happening at this moment in time.
  • Population: Moderate. The Populace is generally spread out enough as there aren't huge amounts of numbers of the species; the capital city itself is the only settlement on the world with more than 100 individuals due to it being a major tribal center and the residence of the Grand Chieftain. The rest of the settlements and villages only have around 50 people each spread out amongst the swamps and marshlands that occupy the planet.
  • Demographics: The population is mostly made up of the Mancharunk Species; who occupy the entire planet except for the Outsider Settlement as that is for the few visitors that come to the world. There are mancharunk in the settlement to keep order and all; but generally speaking their is a small percentage living with the off-worlder inhabitants. They are not generally known to be overly racist or xenophobic; but will regard any traveler with suspicion unless they are a hutt; who they venerate above all else due to stories past down from generation to generation. They are also more welcoming to species with fish like qualities; as they see them as blood relations even if they don't have the same blood at all.
  • Primary Languages: The Primary Language is Manchri; spoken by a majority of the population and all of the species can understand it. The Second Primary Language is a crude version of the Galactic Standard Basic; which they use to communicate with outsiders in the outsider settlement as it is the most common language in the galaxy spoken by the rare visitors that came to the world.
  • Culture:
The Mancharunk Species is generally solitary and like to avoid contact with outsiders wherever possible. This doesn't mean that they will not communicate with them if they happen upon them or are stationed inside the Outsider Settlement. They value honor and strength among all else; and a person with a large amount of strength will impress them more than anyone else. Fortunately for the tribes that occupy the world; they have had no major conflict with each other as they all are evolved from the same species and see no reason to start a war over the same resources that they have access to. With the Power of the Grand Chieftain keeping the tribal system together; if the chieftain dies from combat or natural causes a new leader will be selected from among the 4 tribes that occupy the planet almost instantly after the previous chieftains last breath as they see that as the most effective way to keep them together as one species.
The only goal of the species is to go about their daily lives and survive; they care not for intergalactic war or conquest of other planets as they see that as the outsiders folly; although this isn't to say that the Mancharunk are a peaceful species in the slightest; as they are quite capable in combat and can form armies if needed to defend their homeworld. The Typical Life of a Mancharunk is that the females attend to their communities and raise their young in groups; mentored by the community females as a single unit to better promote cooperation; while the males of the species are the warriors and hunters that do all the regular work; such as tool making and construction of cities. The arts of the Mancharunk are specially crafted totems that have different items on them; sometimes one of the sages of the species will imbue the totem with the force to act as a passive boost to the one that wears it around their neck.

They lack any sports; as they find that a waste of productive time and would rather spend that time; with their families or gathering materials for the community to survive the years to come. The religion on Mancharakorkon is focused on two main spirits; Mar Nuna (The Light Side of the Force) and Mar Kulo (The Dark Side of the Force) that they believe watch over them and protect them from invaders and other would be conquerors of their world; under the direction of the Order of the Swamp Grove the main spirit is Mar Kulo; as they use the power to conjure natural elements to help them in battle such as earth; fire; water and air. While Mar Nuna spirit has its own sect within the Order to regulate the users of Mar Kulo; and to make sure that they don't use their powers for destructive purposes that would harm the communities and if necessary; kill the offender before any harm is done although killing another Mancharunk is usually frowned upon due to not having a large population.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Absolute Theocracy
  • Affiliation: Mancheron Association of Food & Beverages | The Mancharunk Species | Paranoda Mancheron Boggurobb
  • Wealth:Poor. The Level of Wealth is Poor because the wealth from imports & exports through the Outsider Settlement is kept by the Order of the Swamp Grove; who are the government of Mancharakorkon and have the power to do what they wish. Generally the average mancharunk throw away currency due to it being worthless as a material in their eyes; leaving their personal reserves dry of functional currency. The Order of the Swamp Grove and the Grand Chieftain himself have significantly more wealth due to keeping the credits from the imports & exports to keep their buildings in better quality shape and overall using it for bartering with outsiders and religious ceremonies that are conducted by the order.
  • Stability: High.
The Stability Level is High because the Grand Chieftain is the overall head of the Mancharunk Species and they look to them for guidance and leadership in times of crisis. With the power of the grand chieftain keeping the tribes as separate but equal under his judgement; this has prevented any resentment or wars from springing up amongst the 4 tribes that split from the main species in evolution.

Generally travellers are only safe if they are within the Outsider Settlement; as many Mancharunk see the areas outside of that their own territory and will defend it with great vigor to sometimes fatal results. The Order of the Swamp Grove is the overall main government of Mancharakorkon and their decrees are more powerful than the local village chieftains that rule over their city-states; with the Grand Chieftain also serving as the Spirit Sage; the Head of the Order and in this dual capacity allows him or her total control over the planet and its inhabitants as a means to rally them in times of war if necessary. The government isn't overreaching or anything; and will only step in if the entire species is at stake; local disputes and other local matters can be handled by the local village chieftains and their councils.

  • Freedom & Oppression:
The Planet of Mancharakorkon is typically free as the villages and settlements can do anything that they desire; as long as it doesn't go against the government decrees that are put into place to unite the species; and guide them forward into the future. The Outsider Settlement is heavily oppressed with numerous cases being reported of inhabitants being arrested for simply stepping even an inch outside the marked zone; as this violates the law that outsiders aren't allowed in their territory which goes right up to the settlement itself.
The Order of the Swamp Grove is typically feared as the ruling body; as their decisions are final and as they are the speakers of the spirits; they generally have the majority of the species by their side and will not argue against their decisions. With the Absolute Power of the Grand Chieftain; granted to them through their dual roles as Spirit Sage and Grand Chieftain of Mancharkorkon the Order is free to do anything it likes without consequences; although the Mar Nuna Sect of the Order will keep watch for any major abuses of power among the more less ideal followers of the Mar Kulo Sect. While the Order of the Swamp Grove hold massive amount of power over the world.

The Mancheron Kajidic still has the final say in operations and can deny anything that the order does, as they are the Overall Boss of the Planet; acting through the Grand Chieftain to maintain control for Paranoda Mancheron Boggurobb. Blasters are illegal on the planet; and the Mancharunk Species will enforce this in the outsider settlement with the backing of Paranoda's Own Forces that are stationed on the planet to act as a secondary security force; for situations that the Native Species can't handle or would be overwhelmed by; such as invasion by outside forces.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military:
Due to not having fought wars with each other and vary rarely being visited by outsiders. The Military Capabilities of the planet are hindered due to this; as many of the weaponry that the Mancharunk Possess are made of crude metal and wood that have been crafted into clothing, weapons and armor; although the Mancharunk do have a standing army of 10,000 Individuals mostly from the Warrior Southern Tribe Mancharunk.

The lower numbers of their army is a huge disadvantage when faced with a superior technological force; but the advantage of having their dense swamp and marshlands to plan calculated ambushes make them more than a match for any force thrown their way; as they are used to the terrain and how it operates that they can fight with extreme effectiveness even with significantly lower numbers. With the addition of the Mancheron Security Forces on the world as an extra defensive boost; the Military can be compared to an average sector defense force that is equipped enough to handle a majority of threats.

Due to having a dense asteroid field surrounding the planet; the need for a space navy as been diminished but hasn't been completely taken out of the question as the field makes any approach difficult for a large navy to accomplish and even smaller starfighters would have a rough time penetrating the field due to the sheer number of rocks in it. Although the Mancharunk have access to more advanced technology than their current level; the Mancheron Kajidic has monopolized it and has prevented them from using it for their civilization as a whole due in part to the Order of the Swamp Grove wanting to preserve their traditions; thus leaving them in a more technological less society as a majority of the species still follow the traditions that have been used for generations

  • Technology: Due to the Mancheron Kajidic's Monopolization of the Technology on the Planet through the actions of the Order of the Swamp Grove; the technology is behind the galaxy significantly with still being in the slightly advanced primitive age; with slugthrowers and blunt weaponry still being common among the people of the planet. They still use flint tools and other naturally made items that are locally sourced from the dense swamps and marshlands on the planet itself as they lack proper industrial capacity but do have a few scattered forges that are used to make weapons. In terms of armor level; they have figured out how to make scale & plate armor from hunting the armored predators on the planet but only a few have been made due to it mostly being invented by Eastern Tribe Mancharunk; who are the traders and merchants that sell their wears in the Outsider Settlement in exchange for rare off-world items that they can experiment with. Although the Grand Chieftain is looking to raise the technological level by making agreements with Paranoda to exchange weaponry and armor despite what the Order of the Swamp Grove thinks about it.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Planet of Mancharakorkon was discovered during the Ancient Pre-Republic Era by the Ancient Hutt Empire; during the war with the Tionese Empire of Xim the Despot. Expanding onto the planet in order to feed the growing warmachine of the hutts; as due to invasions by Xim and his Empire, they were beginning to lose ground and needed a boost in weaponry and other items. Finding that the Local Species; the Mancharunk would suit them well for being a vassal species among the other vassal species already in the Hutts Growing Army; they would begin a contract with the First Grand Chieftain for control over the planet and to put the planet in the Sphere of the Hutt Empire; establishing a refinery in an underground cavern, they would mine the previously untapped resources to fuel their growing power and shipped a large number of Mancharunks to warzones across the galaxy until the War with Xim came to an end with the Hutt Victory over the Tionese Despot.

The Ancient Hutt Empire would also build other settlements across the planet during this time; which have now become ruins that have sunk deep into the dense swamp biome of the planet. The Empire of the Hutts having no more use for the contract with the species after the conflict was over; unusually freed them from it and hutt dominance of the planet begin to fade with the closing of the refinery and the sealing of the hidden entrance to prevent the locals; along with the abandonment of the settlements so that those populations brought in could be returned to Hutt Space. The Native Species would begin to lay tools and rock totems at the entrance of the refinery as a tribute to the sky slugs as they called them; and it became another point of interest for them; holy enough to prevent all access to outsiders to that area of the swamp without heavy resistance.

Eventually the planet was left alone for a few decades and the species saw little contact with the galaxy because overall their world was unattractive to anyone and had little in the way of natural resources. The Force was eventually discovered on the world by a few sages of the Western Tribe Mancharunk; who established an Order of the Swamp Grove and named the two spirits that gave them this power "Mar Nuna and Mar Kulo" each representing the dark side and light respectfully; during an experiment by one of the sages; they found that they could naturally connect with the 4 main elements; fire; water; ice and earth with a strong connection to water and earth as they lived in a swamp biome; the one sage who had accomplished this experiment was unnatural in the way that he possess all 4 colorations of skin; Blue;Green;Red; and Purple with the natural tan underbelly of the Mancharunk Species. This Sage Eventually became the Second Grand Chieftain and the Spirit Sage of his species; ruling over them for many decades using the force to increase his lifespan unknowingly.

During this rule the Ancient Jed'aii Order sent a vessel to scout worlds to establish their presence on; while doing a check around the system. The vessel crashed into the swamp planet that was the home of the species and the crew was killed; the Mancharunk eventually discovered the wrecked vessel during a hunting party and believe it came from the sky slugs; so they buried the bodies in a local grove and unknowingly kept the lightsabers as sacred relics. In the Old Republic Era; the planet was in the sphere of influence of the Hutt Cartel; and particularly the Mancheron Kajidic who built into the mucky terrain a palace for them to reside in away from Kor Mancheron in the Garden of the Hutts. When the Hutt Warlord and Sith Alchemist; Monkrave the Despoiler otherwise known as Monkrave Mancheron Boggurobb fled the sith empire after kaggathing his sith master and established his regional capital on the planet in the same underground refinery that was used previously by the Ancient Hutt Empire; using the power of the Ornament of Monkrave to convince the natives to assist him in defending it from the Cartel; Republic and Sith Empire who had grown tired of Monkrave's Invasions into their territories. Although the army of Mancharunks were brave against the onslaught of advanced weaponry brought by the enemy; they ultimately lost and their population was heavily reduced.

With the Body of Monkrave being taken back to Kor Mancheron for burial along with his now depowered artifact; the world was soon forgotten again as the galactic powers saw no use to build anything on the planet and waste resources on defending it. Onto the clone wars; the planet was shifted out of hutt space due to galactic lines being redrawn to better fit the conflict between clones and droids. Few outsiders would go to the planet unless they wanted to hide in the dense swamps and marshlands; the Mancharunk Species of the planet were less thrilled about them invading their territory; so they built a small settlement for the outsiders to trade in and rest their bones before leaving for their next destination in the galaxy out of the remnants of an Ancient Hutt Empire Settlement. This settlement is where the only spaceport is; and all outsiders will be required to remain there as the species don't like foreigners in their grounds and regard them with suspicion.

During the remaining years; the world was rarely visited and even the Galactic Empire and Rebellion didn't establish a presence on the world. To the current events; the planet was absorbed into the sphere of Influence of the Mancheron Kajidic; with Paranoda Mancheron Boggurobb moving there to establish a palace in the old refinery that was used by his Ancestor and Ancient Hutt Empire; so that he could live in seclusion in the dense swamp; while still being able to leave the planet if he wished to attend events in hutt space and manage his company in the galaxy. The Mancharunk Species permit his exit from the outsider settlement due to him being a sky slug; a ancient legend passed down from generation to generation of the species and they venerate him as a member of that ancient race that conquered them long ago.

Although Paranoda is the overall ruler of the planet and its assets; the government rule is maintained by the 8th Grand Chieftain and Spirit Sage who possess the same unnatural coloration of the Second Grand Chieftain; The Chieftain keeps his people in the primitive age as per their traditionalism policy but is looking forward to testing technology if it becomes available through trade; unknown to all is that he has managed to construct a lightsaber from the ancient exploration vessel that crashed here from the Ancient Jed'aii Order and using the Lightsabers that were kept by the species as sacred relics as his starting point; but the chieftain has kept it hidden in his fortress; only to be used for emergencies or to lead his people to war if necessary. As the Spirit Sage; he is unnaturally gifted with the 4 elements and is the 4th known of the species to be recorded on wooden tablets using them all; making him an important figure as a Master Sage on his homeworld and earning respect from the other sages who can only use one.

I love the level of detail in this submission! It's a bit like a Hutta away from Hutta, but with a unique native species and some Mesoamerican architectural flair. The images you picked are great, and helped me picture the planet quite well; you also linked them well and thoroughly, so nice job there. Your history is incredibly thorough, and very much grounded in an expansive knowledge of Legends history. Color me impressed! I have only a couple of minor suggestions before I put my stamp on this.

  • In the Wealth and Stability sections, under Government and Economy, please put the ratings (Poor and High, respectively) as the very first word in the description, just like you did for "Population: Medium". This makes it easier for readers to see the rating at a glance, before they delve into the reasons why those ratings are appropriate.

  • You list Grand Chieftain Wazdamundi under Affiliation. It looks like that character account has been deleted, though the bio link still works. Do you want to keep the character under Affiliation even though the account is gone? Just checking.

  • Lastly, you did an amazing and thorough job of writing all the details here, but with no paragraph breaks it is difficult to read it all. I need some paragraph breaks in the Culture and Historical Information sections, and I would like to have some in the Stability, Freedom and Oppression, and Military sections as well if possible. I just want people to really read all the beautiful detail you've put into this planet, rather than have their eyes glaze over when they see a solid wall of text.

  • Minor note: Paranoda's Cavern / Refinery Palace would be a great thing to flesh out further in a Location sub.
