Major Faction Diplomatic Exchanges Implemented

The following has been added to the rules for major factions. This allows major factions to transfer worlds in their influence clouds to each other without the tedious need for a non-invasion.

DIPLOMACY
At any point, a Major Faction may engage in diplomacy with another Faction to negotiate the exchange of territory.

Label your faction's name and the opposing faction (if there is one) in the topic title. Acquisitions will not be awarded in the future if this is not adhered to.

If agreement is reached by both Factions then up to 4 worlds may be exchanged. (For example one Faction gives up four worlds or factions trade two worlds each).

Planets exchanged further than two grids away from a Major Faction's borders will not increase a Major Faction's Influence Cloud.

DIPLOMACY DECLARATION

1. The thread must have a minimum total of 50 posts between both factions.

2. Both Faction Owners must post to the map update thread to confirm the agreement and list the planets exchange.

I see two cases where this would frequently happen:

• Two Major Factions planning to merge their Spheres of Influence.
• Peace Treaties between two Major Factions that were invading each other. Either as a concession or the Factions basically trade border planets as "hostages" to ensure peace.
