IC Heirarchy
The Imperium is an egalitarian authoritarian government. All power rests in the hands of the Lord-Imperator, currently Cedric Grayson. The Imperator has several ministries directly beneath him that run particular areas within the Imperium, such as the Minister of Truth (Propoganda) or the Minister of Intelligence. Alongside the Imperator is the House of Lords, a voting body comprised of representatives from every world within the Imperium that have been democratically chosen by the people. The House acts as a senate, and runs the Imperium's day-to-day, along with making the majority of the Imperium's decisions. The Lord-Imperator is the de jure head of the House of Lords, and reserves the right to veto any and every decision the House makes should it not be to his or her liking. This power is expected to be used rarely, generally in times of crisis, as the Imperium was founded upon values of equality and mutual understanding. It is the House's belief that so long as the Lord-Imperator is a trained Jedi Master, they will not abuse their powers.

Description
The Grayson Imperium is a conglomeration of several different factions that came together to have enough influence to make changes on the galactic stage. It has been a private ambition of House Grayson for several generations, though only now has the opportunity come to see it realized. With the fall of every Republic and democratic body in recent memory, the veterans that form the Imperium grew quite disgruntled with such a fragile form of government. The Essonians, led by Cedric, proposed an alternative. An authoritarian monarchy with a Jedi family at its head to serve as 'emergency dictators' of sorts, expected to exercise their absolute power to make sure the state does not fall against the more centralized powers of the Sith and their cohorts. Outside of such times of crisis, the Lord-Imperator is expected to take a step back and let the House of Lords convene as a genuine democratic body, appeasing the Imperium's desire for equality and representation, whilst also reaping the benefits of a wholly centralized regime in times of war. Alongside this comes a religious zeal for the Light Side of the Force that has served as the cultural centerpiece of the fledgling nation: much of the citizenry has converted to following the will of the Ashla, using its teachings to found a moral and just nation in the midst of a galaxy engaged in debauchery and madness.
The Pitch
We believe our faction fulfills a niche that has been ignored since the fall of the Fel Imperium way back in the day. We're a heavily Light-Sided faction, but we have the aesthetic and political systems of an empire. Furthermore our faction is a wholly custom creation, with all of its lore and most of its inspiration coming from the minds of its writers, and in turn, providing Chaos with more unique lore to help carve out its identity as its own slice of the Star Wars timeline. We appeal to the more zealous good guys: the Jedi Crusaders, the soldiers that kill in the name of his God, the arrogant priest that knows what is best for his ignorant flock.
Past Roleplay Threads
Subjugating the Warlords: A fragile alliance is forged between the Sons of Ession, a handful of Imperial warlords, and the remnants of the New Republic. They move to take Coruscant in a short but bloody battle. Halfway through the conflict, Chancellor Shran accepts the defeat of the Imperial Remnant, and agrees to merge its remaining resources and personnel into the fledgling Grayson Imperium. Cedric Grayson is proclaimed Lord-Imperator, and the Imperium is founded.
A New Era: A day after Coruscant is taken, House Grayson and its allies lead a massive procession through the city streets. The parade ends at the former senate hall, where Cedric proclaims the High Lords and dukes of the Imperium, abolishes the xenophobic laws that had previously oppressed the alien races of the core, and declares the House of Lords, a democratic body that will govern the burgeoning Imperium much as the senate of the Old Republic did.
Blood of Kings: The Lord-Imperator's personal council meets to discuss the next actions the Imperium should take. Claims for particular worlds are argued, and plans to colonize Tython and subjugate the warlord that controls Empress Teta are discussed.
The Soldier and the Bureaucrat: The newly appointed Minister of Propaganda is given the task of dealing with certain criminal elements beneath Coruscant's upper crust. He is joined by a small security detail, and together the group goes to meet with one of the premier crime lords of the undercity in hopes of either neutralizing him, or swaying him to the Imperium's cause.
The Debacle on Teta: Following the meeting of the Lord-Imperator's council, the Imperium's forces move to liberate the world of Teta from a cult of death-worshippers that have mutilated the planet's population. The conflict is a swift, but particularly bloody one, resulting in even the Lord-Imperator being stranded amidst a sea of foes. It is only by the skin of their teeth that the forces of the Imperium manage to force the cultists into capitulation.
Tropic Thunder: The Imperium intends to colonize Tython and reestablish the Jedi Order of old upon its soil, but the planet is restless. The Jedi of the Imperium band together to determine what has brought the planet out of balance, and come into conflict with a group of flesh raiders under the influence of a force-wielding Dashade.
The House Convenes: With the recent conquest and colonization of Empress Teta and Tython, the House of Lords convenes to consolidate the Imperium's power, establish a constitution, and decide what next direction the Imperium should take.
Journey's Rest: The armies of the Imperium return to Coruscant for much needed leave. Pay bonuses are divvied out, and much of the planet erupts into jubilation as the soldiers flood the world's entertainment districts, spending millions of credits in a single night that will go on to be known as The Day of Celebration, and quickly classified as a national holiday revolving around the ties of brotherhood that bind the Imperium together.
