[Main - QEF] The Journey Begins

Leea stayed silent, she didn't have any tech, aside from a blaster and comlink. Didn't even have a helmet, she preferred not to where one as she thought they were quite silly looking. "Well if it affected two at the same time, do you think it could be something other than a technical glitch?"

"All channels are affected..." Dak said, switching quickly through the available channels, before shutting them down. "Looks like we've just gotta shout at eachother."

"Well if it affected two at the same time, do you think it could be something other than a technical glitch?" Leea asked.

"Some jack-off up in Maintenance probably goofed around with the transmitters. Happens all the time. As for the sensors... I dunno. they're not the most reliable thing in the galaxy. Either way, there's not much we can do. Keep your blaster primed, check your corners, and be ready for anything." He concluded.

Kiyron nodded and set the helmet down on the seat next to him. "That's what I think as well. Need to send someone to deal with the issue." He looked over at [member="Leea Pandac"]. "You seem a little lost. New member?" It was important that everyone be a team here, especially since this was the first incident of the deployment. It'd be bad to get it off to a bad start.

Les Hander quickly removed his helmet, suddenly he was both mute and deaf. He could see the lips of others moving but couldn't hear a thing. He reached into his helmet with his hands, twisting a nozzle and the loud burst of static reduced drastically. It was dizzying to see everyone talking but for no sound to come. He grunted a animalistic noise, it didn't sound human. And in that moment that his lips had parted, it was seen that he didn't have a tongue. He slid the helmet back over his head, sound once more returning. "Pilot, take us away" he ordered in the robotic tone. He looked to Dak, he would have given him a look of concern for himself if not for the helmet that masked his face. He said to him "If my helmet stops working, you take the lead. I'll be out." Dak would know exactly what he meant. Without the onboard systems activated in his helmet, Les was effectively mute and deaf. He couldn't make a sound but for a strangle-like gurgle, nor would he be able to hear a single thing.

Leea replied to Kiyron, "Completely. Never been in a real fight." Her face still did no show any anxiety she felt inside. Then when she saw Les without a helmet, and more importantly without a tongue, she felt lightheaded. She felt like she was going to fall over from revulsion, not from the Les but from the missing tongue. She had never realized she was squeamish to this degree before. She decided she would have to work on it.

Kiyron nodded slowly, giving [member="Leea Pandac"] an encouraging smile. "Ah. First mission, then. I remember that one. It turned out to be an ugly hellhole that we barely managed to win. We survived though. This shouldn't be anywhere as bad. Just stick with me and do as I say, all right? And be sure to do as the Sergeant and Lieutenant Henders order. We'll do our best to make sure you get back in one piece. But, first lesson of military life, we need you to try and make sure we come back." He tilted his head towards the derelict. "This one should not be too bad of a job, so worry as much as you feel necessary. It never goes away."

"Thanks, I think. Hope we make it all back alive, that's for certain. What do think is on the ship?" She asked, steadying herself a little more with the questions keeping her mind off of all the grisly wounds that one could receive on the battlefield.

Kiyron nodded. "You're welcome, and I don't know for certain. Droids, perhaps. Or ancient bodies. Maybe both. Or an abandoned ship." There were numerous possibilities, and he wasn't going to settle on one. It was better to stay open-minded about it so that he could be prepared for any situation. He needed to recognize all information that he absorbed to best formulate a response.

"If my helmet stops working, you take the lead. I'll be out."

"Don't get my hopes up, Ell Tee." Dak scoffed.

Dak turned to the others, and chimed in.

"I'm not expecting to find anything but Dust, Bones, and Dusty Bones." He said. "At best, we might find a functional Astromech or Protocol Droid."

Dak glanced down at his T-21, suddenly remembering an important tidbit of information he forgot to mention, although Les knew it all too well.

"Oh, uhm... Just a head's up, I'll be taking point. And you should probably stay up-range of me." Dak said, his helmet hiding the shameful expression on his face. "They, uh... don't call me 'Hazard' for nothing."

Kiyron nodded at [member="Dak Va'shaden"]'s assessment, "That is the most probable situation." Hopefully anyways. Nothing was worse than stumbling into a nightmare vessel that had some weird cargo that turned the ship into a kill-house. They had spent extensive time creating protocols for those situations with the Wildcards, but as far as he knew, they had never left the division. So if that happened, well, their best bet was probably to torch the vessel. He frowned slightly at Dak's next comment, and raised an eyebrow, but gave a nod anyways. "Understood."

Leea smiled a little as she listened to [member="Dak Va'shaden"] and @Kiyron. She wasn't concerned with anything that could be dangerous in the ship. She was more concerned with getting there and back, with everyone in one piece. She didn't want to have to witness someone being killed or mutilated, or have it done to her. She wasn't sure as to the likelihood of that happening so she was worried about it.

ABOARD THE KANDOSII-TYPE DREADNOUGHT "CONCORD DAWN"

[member="sabrina"]

Ordo blinked.

The urge to simply destroy the ship that openly declared its ties to a sith group was almost too much to resist but resist he did as he opened the comm channel. The light of the ships bridge reflected in the iconic 'T' of his buy'ces visor.

"This is Field Marshal Ordo Ar'klim of the 'Concord Dawn' you may dock in the port hanger and I will meet you there."

Ordo stood and waved 4 of his men to come with him as he made his way to the hanger. What would come of this he didn't know, but knowing the sith and their constant schemes he was sure it was more than it seemed.

Sabrina acknowledged the transmission, Sabrina to, Field Marshal Ordo Ar'klim of the 'Concord Dawn'. She then set her course to port hanger, she was on her own, and she was nervous. Mandalorians did not always get on with sith, but she was going to try and build up some trust. So they could make, formal talks with her masters, on good footing.
Her ship docked, and the ramp lowered it self, and walked out into the hanger bay. She saw five mandalorians, armed and armoured, one she recognized, from her mission for stygium crystals. He probably recognize her, from the cave, she still wore same basic armour weave. She approached them, and gave them a respectful nod, she was not here to make enemies, but to make allies. Even if it was only temporary, as her masters, hated the republic, with a vengeance.

Ordo looked at the young woman from behind his visor.

"This way girl." Ordo said waving the Commandos with him forward, "we'll speak in my quarters."

Ordo turned and waited for her to draw along side him. With her in tow and flanked by the 4 troops he walked to the ships captains quarters. Once inside the troops stopped outside.

"Sit down." Ordo said as he pulled off his buy'ce and set it on his desk before sitting in his simple chair. "You have 10 minutes to save your life."

Sabrina followed the mandalorians, down a maze of corridors, they eventually arrived at his office. Their she was offered a seat, she smiled and sat down. Then her smile turned, into a grimace under her vail, as he told her. She only had ten minutes, to explain herself, or he was going to kill her. It was not quite the response, she was hoping for, it quite rude actually.
She decide she better answer him, though she did her best to answer, in broken mandalorian, as sign of respect. Ner aka is bah din'kartay, the mando, in val akaanir with the demagolka, bid a burc'ya. Which roughly translated meant, my mission is to help, the mandolarion people, in their fight with the republic, as a friend. She was unsure, how this would go down with him.

The LAAT had departed with due haste. The bowels of the aircraft becoming a black pit, bodies squeezed tight, shoulder-to-shoulder with one another. He listened to the others talk, offering little input into their conversation. His mind was on other more important matters - at least important to him. He was deeply concerned about the sudden communication malfunction, and silently prayed it would not occur to his helmet. For he would be a sitting duck, so to speak. Unable to communicate with his squad mates, nor would he be able to hear them. He'd be audibly inept. The ship suddenly jostled, and they were inside the derelict cruiser. A red light burst to life above their heads, and then it flashed green. The bay doors flung open and they were standing in an old hanger. It was dust ridden, with scraps sitting here and there. There was currently no light in the hanger bay. Les turned his flashlight on his blaster on, and motioned for Dak to lead with the signal of his hand.

Ordo looked at her with a surprised expression. His brows rose and he leaned back in his chair.

"And is this offer a personal one or are you a spokesman for someone?" Ordo asked his deep voice calm and cool.

He would wait for her response and see what wpuld happen next.

One thing that they would be able to notice in the darkened hangar, although most likely after a closer analysis, was that there were foot-prints in the dust that covered the floor, fresh from the looks of it.
And they had claws.

The trail of prints led towards one of the nearby corridors, but it wouldn't be long before they lost track of them, the trail would curve left towards one of the walls and disappear there. Claw marks and lines of punctures in the wall suggest that whatever left the prints also had the ability to climb the walls and ceilings.

It was HK who left the trail, of course, during his arrival on the ship, using his metal claws and talons to move about the ship, they were retractable, however, as to not give out that it was him who left the prints for when he finally comes in contact with the party of adventurers.

Meanwhile, deep in the ship,

HK silently moved out of a ventilation shaft, he would cling to the ceiling as he watched RC move about the area, searching for something.
Moving above him, HK clung to the metal ceiling with one of his foot, letting go with his hands he would dangle down and reach out to touch RC's shoulder softly.
"Do not be alarmed, it is me again."
He spoke calmly,
"The Republic has arrived on the ship, they are in the hangar. I can point you in the correct direction but I cannot guide you the whole way. You will be safe with them, they will give you something to do. Do not stop or turn around for whatever you will hear, it is all an illusion, nothing will harm you."
HK explained, seeing if RC found whatever he was looking for and was ready to go

Sabrina closed her eyes, so she was not distracted, and replied to the man again, in mandalorian. My darjatii aliit, ashnar sent me, as a token be jate mav, which roughly meant, My sith family, has sent me, as a token of good will. She then handed over to, the man a holo receiver, and then added. Ibic is for mandalore, teh ner darjatii alor, bid val liser jorhaa'ir sha'kajir, which roughly meant, This is for mandalore, from my sith masters, so they can negotiate terms , in our mutual struggle. She was unsure, if she got all the words right, it was hard language to learn from scratch.

His hand just found something when something else touched his shoulder. He flinched a little but it was a reasonable reaction for an unexpected voice from the dark. It was familiar, the same being who helped him before. It said that the Republic was here and though it can point him in the right direction, it can't guide him to them. "But...I can't see," he said.

His eyesight was getting better, he can see dark and light blobs now, he was still in no condition to navigate the ship solo. At this point he held what he found in both hands, one feeling the contours of his prize. It was instantly familiar to him.
