The Magnus Self-Propelled Howitzer is a development of the result of the Imperial Downfall. A well rounded and well built self-propelled artillery piece based on a strong chassis and classical tracks instead of repulsorlift technology.
There is only one variant produced, due to both the complexity of its interior systems as well as its simple capability but it is licensed and sold to all imperial remnant factions for the Vandemarian Techwrights to make them more competitive as well as bring them into the public eye of a tough and competitive arms industry.
Its strong main weapon combined with extensive shell options and good speed make it an ideal mobile artillery piece for mobile warfare but also for pitched battles or even sieges. Complemented by a good protection, it is the backbone of heavy firepower on the battlefield. However it is an artillery system and not a battle tank and therefore it lacks heavily when facing the enemy directly, face to face due to exposed gun crews and sluggish single shell reload.
With its special reloading system, it can shoot right shells in a very quick succession and the possibility for them to hit their targets all at the same time if they are all in a small area. Making it an overwhelming one-hit weapon which then can then redeploy before counter-battery fire can hit it.
