Magic The Gathering

[member="Visvada Ondu"] I used to play MTG online using Cockatrice, a program run out of Germany which was popular among European MTG players. Unfortunately, Wizards didn't like us very much and decided to have it shut down.

I'll have to check out this untap.in website. If it's free, it sounds very promising.

I sure as hell am not going to play the official MTG Online. Pay real money for fake cards? No thanks.

Right? It's such a waste .-.

I'm sure there is some incentive to buy into MTGO, but I'm just old school I guess. I enjoy things that are tangible. If I'm putting money into a card game, I want to own the real cards.

Anyway, I'm actually gonna check out this website this week. I know I already said that... but it's gonna happen.

If you play casual multiplayer (which is what I play), then some of the oldest, stupidest cards ever can see play in the right deck. My playgroup has so many different decks going around, both old and new. And most of the cards are really, really cheap.

My friend has an entire deck built around Cultural Exchange which was actually rather strong for a while in our playgroup.

And my other friend grew an irrational hatred for something so obscure as Will-o'-the-Wisp, which I would use in my mono black control deck to repeatedly chump block his massive creatures.

I played up until VIth edition came out. Problem was, there was nobody to play against anymore. My fave decks were red burn/weenie and green weenie decks. I always played mono color as two or more colors really screwed me for land. It was better to have all mountains or forests, and have a need for less of them so I could open up more slots for stuff to deal damage. Well, that's what I thought.

Oh wow.. I played this as a pre-teen.

and trust me when I say ya don't wanna play for keeps against friends, it never works out when you're the one getting all the cards. :p

I liked it when I played it, since I'm in community college, it's everywhere. I stopped though since the person who nudged me to stopped going to school, along with that I hate everyone who plays it there too. We had a bad issue where my friend had a good control deck and then like two people focused him and made it not fun. I'd consider giving it a try again with a different group, though.

Foebacca

Blood Squadron Combat Air Commander
I got a pretty nice artifact deck. I got a few people here I play with at work. Got me a nice black and blue zombie deck also. Also I play Legacy only cause most of my 400 something cards are not tourney legal.

Anyone into this game? I play pretty competitively and I found a way to play online using whatever deck you want. If anyone is interested in playing some, let me know!

I run:
Modern - Infect
Modern - Mill
EDH - Full of tricks and crazy stuff
Casual - A deck that will make you hate me in five turns
I love magic!

This might make me sound like a complete blond, but wonder if they still call it mana in that card game.. assume they never changed that, and always thought it was a funny thing to call something.

But yea, loved that game.. highly doubt I would be any good at it still. :)

My fave deck at the time was the ice age they had newly released, this was in the 90's.. it was a nice deck,

But I had heard something about all the ice age decks were no longer able to be acquired as full decks.. have no clue why, but I haven't played it since I was like 12 either, so yea... it was fun when I was a kid.

and yea I know.. Imma old person. :p senior frakking citizen right here.

Ice Age cards are still widely available.

Or are you talking about a premade deck...?
