Description

The Low Altitude Assault Transport/Durge, affectionately referred to as "Latty" by the armed personnel of the Confederacy's military is an exceptional vehicle poised to become the faction's standard gunship. Named in honor of the famous, Gen'Dai Bounty Hunter who served the original incarnation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the LAAT/D was designed by Rothana Heavy Engineering in order to fulfill the role of Aerial Assault; but it is also equipped to serve as an invaluable asset for boarding operations as well. While the entirety of its armaments can be manned by individual personnel, the most striking feature about the gunship is the fact that it can be also effectively employed with a single pilot. This is due to the fact that its armaments can be switched into an automated firing mode which relies upon the gunship's scanners entirely. Through this, in a pinch, the gunners of the vessel can be dropped into an area in order to assist with pushing forward troop efforts on the ground.
