  • Special Ammunition
    • CryoBan - Loaded with a payload of CryoBan, the CryoBan shell is designed to unleash its payload of heat-absorbing gas upon impact, dealing damage not only through raw kinetic force, but also via deep, gruesome cold injuries which may inflict lethal levels of frostbite, nerve damage, and other cold exposure effects.
STRENGTHS
  • Agile Boomstick - The Type 1 Light Rotary Shotgun is small for a longarm slugthrower, making it an agile, maneuverable weapon in close quarters. For this reason, the weapon finds frequent use in the hands of individuals from smaller species.
  • Cheap and Reliable - Lacking in frills, the Type 1 Light Rotary Shotgun is a cheap and reliable weapon, ideal for fielding by outback militias, cultist gangs, and hard-pressed rebels.
  • High Damage - Within its optimal range, the Type 1 Light Rotary Shotgun is a dangerous weapon with a high potential damage output. It is capable of challenging most forms of body armor and in some cases, light vehicles.
WEAKNESSES
  • Long Reload - Shells or slugs must be loaded individually into the rotary cylinder magazine, which is turned manually for each shell or slug. This can make for a long, inconvenient reloading process, especially for a shooter that is unfamiliar with the weapon.
  • Mechu-deru - Like any piece of technology, the Type 1 Light Rotary Shotgun is susceptible to Mechu-deru and other technology-twisting powers. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce a jam or some other mechanical failure that might compromise the weapon entirely or demand precious time to fix, leaving the shooter vulnerable.
  • Ammunition Weight - Pound for pound, energy weapons are generally more efficient than slugthrowers. The Type 1 Light Rotary Shotgun certainly is no exception to this. Slugs and shells take space and add weight to any soldier, limiting how many can be carried at a time.
DESCRIPTION
Manufactured by Sword Herald Special Purpose Enterprises, the Type 1 Light Rotary Shogun is a light shotgun which is fed by a rotary cylinder mechanism. Designed with an eye towards reliability, ruggedness, and low-cost, it is an ideal armament for outback militias, cultist gangs, and hard-pressed rebels. The Type 1 LRS is a weapon of straightforward power, but it is also capable of accepting a wide variety of 12 gauge ammunition, from slugs and buckshot, all the way to exotic CryoBan rounds. All in all, the Type 1 Light Rotary Complex is a simple addition to Sword Herald Special Purpose Enterprises’ weapon catalog and it is hoped that the product will grow into a reliable cash cow for the company.
