With a large amount of weapons and gear now unique to the Legion many legionnaires wanted to replace one of the last pieces of non-unique gear that they used, their utility knife. The standard issued utility knife of the Legion is the Hekler'Kok C/UK-01, a mass produced knife. It was from this knife, and the Legion's Dells Fighting Knife, that the Legion armorers used as inspiration for the organizations own utility knife.
Borrowing the basic design of the knife from the C/UK-01 it was constructed rather simply, it however also borrowed its materials from the Dells Fighting Knife, very effectively fusing the two designs. The blade and pommel were constructed out of the lightweight yet highly durable Duranium. The blade was plated in Cortosis Weave to help with the unlikely knife fight with a force-user. Bantha hide was chosen for the the hilt and sheath material both for its quality, durability and stylistic flair.
Almost all of the features of the knife were taken from the C/UK-01. A sawback edge on the reverse side of the knife allows for utility use. A heavy hammer pommel allows the user to hammer and/or smash anything they might need to do such things to. A sharpening stone is included in the knifes sheath. A textured hilt gives the user a better grip when utilizing the knife in any situation. In all the legionnaires loved their new utility knife and quickly replaced their old mass-produced knives with it.
