DESCRIPTION
With the Legion beginning to grow further and further there were talks of creating an armored vehicle unit for them to provide mobile, heavy firepower to the typical Legion light infantry units. When the concept of these units were brought up a few problems cropped up as well, one of these problems was given to the Legion's armorers to solve: the development of a weapon able to easily able to be stored inside of an armored vehicle that still allowed the crew to fight as infantry in the case of the vehicle being disabled.

The main thought of the armorers was to take something from Hekler'Kok's normal weapon line up and redesign it, the same thing they had done with many of the Legion's weaponry but instead they decided to take one of the Legion's existing weapons and modify it. The choice of weapon was obvious: the standard infantry rifle the LCAR Mk I.

The main problem the armorers ran into however was just how unsuited the LCAR was to storage in a crew armored vehicle cabin and they set out to solve this problem. While typical shortening a weapon is a simple matter of shortening the barrel it wasn't so with the LCAR as its gas piston system ran along the length of the barrel was well. In order to make the weapon function reliably with the shorter gas system the armorers had to tweak it in several ways, the biggest being increasing the amount of gas pressure that is put on the bolt.

With this problem solved they were able to tackle the rest of the problems with relative ease. The barrel was basically cut in half and the collapsing stock was replaced with a completely folding stock, both of these modifications made the weapon extremely easy to store in tight spaces. With these changes to the original design made the armorers began work on figuring out what materials the weapon would be made out of.

For the materials they stuck with the same ones that the LCAR had been made out of. The receiver and internal mechanisms were made from Hekler'Kok's trademark Titanium-Alusteel alloy due to both its light weight and durability. The barrel was made out of heavier Quadanium Steel to give the rifle more accuracy and make it less prone to overheating. The stock, grip and handguard were made from Plastoid for weight cutting while not sacrificing durability. The barrel was plated in Chromium to reduce damage and finally the entire weapon was coated in CeramiCoat for the same reason.
