STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths
  • Heavy Hitter: Legator has been heavily equipped with a large assortment of powerful weaponry. The gun count on Legator reaches up to the thousands and it's power is immeasurable. Legator's arsenal ranges from turbolasers to mass drivers, to proton beam weaponry. The list of capabilities the Legator's weapon systems consist of goes on and on. Almost every form of weapon is found on the hull of the Legator.
  • Immovable Object: The defenses implemented in Legator's design make it nigh impenetrable by all but the most powerful of attacks. The hull is thick plated impervium, a metal well known for it's ability to resist all but the most powerful of laser barrages. This, combined with the advanced shielding systems, makes Legator a powerful wall against it's enemies.
  • Near Full Firing Arc: Seen as a major weakness in many Imperial starship designs, the partial firing arc design was omitted in the creation of Legator. This means that all guns built on the dorsal side of the ship are capable of firing in the normally forbidden rear arc so famously exploited. While those weapons are unable to fire beneath the ship, weapons were included upon the ventral side of the ship to remedy this weakness.
Weaknesses
  • Big Boy: The Legator is a superbly massive capital ship. Currently one of the largest ships in the Sith Armada, Legator is an impossibly hard target to miss. On top of that, the ship moves rather slow compared to other ship classes. It's pretty on par with other ships of it's size, but is outsped by almost any ship in lower classes.
  • Interdicton: The Legator comes with no protection from interdictors and gravity wells. While it takes quite a few to keep the ship from entering hyperspace, it still has no way of breaking free of these gravitic forces.
  • Blind Spot: While still capable of firing to the rear, there is still some angles the Legator is incapable of reaching while some angles are only able to be fired on by lighter weapons. Enemy ships would find very small resistance from the Legator when directly behind the engines of the Legator.
DESCRIPTION

The Legator-class Star Dreadnought is a massively powerful warship deployed by the Sith Empire and commanded by Admiral Zahori Denko of the Sith-Imperial Armada. The 10,000 meter dreadnought is yet another addition to the many star dreadnoughts under the Sith Empire. Admiral Zahori Denko, the commanding officer of this dreadnought, was the main contributor to the initial design of the dreadnought as it was her ambition to wield one of the greatest vessels of war the galaxy had ever seen.

First and foremost, the Legator is meant to be a superior warship on the field of battle. Thusly, the offensive systems of the Legator are quite impressive. The weapon emplacements number over 1,000 and are quite diverse in their types. Turbolasers, ion cannons, mass driver cannons, and several other armament emplacements are strategically placed across the hull of the star dreadnought. The dorsal side of the Legator holds many of these weapons while the ventral and aft sections hold some weapons as well, mostly anti-starfighter and anti-missile emplacements to secure the ship's defenses. To further supplement the offensive capabilities, the Legator was constructed with a decently sized hangar in the belly of the dreadnought. This hangar is capable of holding over 40 squadrons of fighters along with gunships, dropships, and other atmospheric vehicles.

While the offensive capabilities of the Legator are quite impressive, it's defenses are nothing to shrug at. The hull of the Legator consists of heavy plates of Impervium, a metal known to be quite impervious, hence it's namesake. Additionally, the impervium of the hull has been supplemented by Neutronium, a metal which has the capabilities of further reducing damage taken by metals it is impregnated into. While the hull is capable of holding it's own in a fight, shielding is always a necessary component in defensive systems of warships. The Blackgate Multicore Shielding System, an advanced shield generator from Koensayr Manufacturing, is the main shielding system for the Legator. This generator provides several layers of shields, all with their own purpose, to provide the ultimate protection. These defenses combined with the aforementioned defensive weapons make the Legator a near impenetrable fortress.
