Last Hex Question

While I realize the following scenario isn't very likely to happen, I wonder:

If a Major Faction has only one hex, and is otherwise active (no recall threat or anything of the kind), can that hex be invaded? And if so, what happens if said Major Faction loses to the invaders?

Bunker-level Normal
Yeah, it's described in the Faction Rules:

1. Each faction, upon creation, will name one planet as it's "Capital". Factions may not invade the hex containing the capital planet unless you have occupied a neighboring hex.
So, yes, as long as they're bordered by the invading faction.

If they lose, one would assume the faction is no longer major, since they no longer have any tiles on the map. If they still have the activity and meet the requirements, they could probably re-submit themselves for major in another location if they wanted.

Were you? Interesting.

As for the question, yes you'd need to be an adjacent hex.

If that happened? It's not occurred before so we'd have to consider it if it ever happened. It's a very unlikely prospect though.
