SPECIAL FEATURES

  • High-Stress Descent Buffers: Advanced inertial dampeners and fall-assist gyroscopes enable rapid-deployment drops from extreme altitudes, minimizing troop injury and hull strain during high-velocity insertions.
  • Adaptive Shield Matrix (LO-Va'karis Integration): The integrated LO-Va'karis system automatically redistributes shield energy to impacted quadrants, allowing the gunship to absorb sustained fire while maintaining key system stability.
  • Reactive Armor Layering: LO-RA1 explosive reactive panels and Laminanium sub-layers dynamically harden on impact, dispersing kinetic and plasma energy across the hull.
  • Self-Regenerative Hull: Laminanium-based Fyrirdögun composites allow the ship to gradually repair micro-fractures, scorch marks, and structural fatigue when out of combat, extending operational lifespan without maintenance downtime.
  • Mid-Air Refueling Arm: Refueling probe allows continuous flight operations in extended theaters, reducing exposure during supply runs.
  • Troop Deployment Systems: Reinforced drop-hatch and grav-rappel rigging enable rapid insertion of up to 36 soldiers or two AT-AS MKII walkers in live-combat zones.
  • Integrated Point-Defense Node (LO-PDL-1A): Automated micro-turrets track and intercept incoming ordnance such as rockets or plasma bolts within a 200-meter defensive perimeter.

STRENGTHS

  1. Heavy Gunship Arsenal: Multiple modular weapon mounts enable the LAAT variant to perform both suppression and precision-support roles. Its broad coverage arcs make it capable of engaging ground armor, aerial targets, and entrenched infantry simultaneously.
  2. Battlefield Endurance: Between its self-regenerative armor, layered shields, and mid-air refueling, the transport can remain in combat far longer than standard gunships.
  3. Superior Troop Support: Able to deploy full strike teams with integrated overwatch capability, providing both transport and immediate air cover in a single platform.
  4. Reinforced Atmospheric Stability: Dual repulsorlift arrays and high-torque inertial gyros stabilize the craft in turbulent conditions, allowing operation in storms, volcanic regions, and irradiated atmospheres.
  5. High Survivability Systems: Triple-layer Fyrirdögun plating, magnetic repulsion fields, and adaptive shielding make the vessel extremely resistant to energy, kinetic, and ion-based weaponry.

WEAKNESSES

  1. Prominent Target: Its enlarged size and profile make it a conspicuous target, especially for anti-air systems and small arms fire.
  2. Heat Signature: The transport's high power requirements produce a significant heat signature, making it detectable to thermal tracking systems.
  3. Limited Cargo: While designed to transport more troops, it sacrifices dedicated cargo space.
  4. Maneuverability Limitations: The large structure and weight limit the ship's agility, impacting evasion and rapid repositioning.
  5. Beyond Repair: even with laminanium if the Ships hill takes to much damage and or doesn't have time to repair the minor damage it will lose its ability to self "heal"

DESCRIPTION

The LAHT (Low Altitude Heavy Transport) is the natural evolution of the LAET/I MKII, representing the next generation of heavy-lift atmospheric support within the Lilaste Order's aerial fleet. Designed to overcome the limitations of its predecessor while preserving its battlefield versatility, the LAHT is built from the ground up to function as both a dedicated troop transport and a mobile gunship platform in contested airspace.

Engineered with a widened, reinforced hull structure composed of Fyrirdögun alloy and armored in dense Kov'dra plating, the LAHT hosts significantly increased resistance to both energy-based and kinetic weaponry. Its triple-layered frame is augmented with explosive reactive armor and a dedicated deflector shield system, allowing it to sustain heavy fire during combat insertion. Additional protection is provided by the LO-MRS1 magnetic repulsion array, and the hull itself incorporates laminanium-infused materials capable of autonomously restoring minor surface-level damage outside of active engagement. These improvements ensure the craft can remain operational through extended sorties without requiring immediate dockyard repair.

The LAHT's enlarged interior accommodates up to thirty-six fully equipped soldiers alongside two AT-AS MKII walkers, reinforcing its role as a full-spectrum deployment vessel. Troop ingress and egress are streamlined through sealed deployment hatches and rappel systems, while high-stress descent buffers and inertial dampening gyros safeguard both crew and passengers during rapid atmospheric insertions or emergency landings in high-threat zones.
