Private Kyber Distractions

Deep space was rarely the most hospitable of places. While there were a great many habitable worlds in the galaxy, deep space had this oppressive feel. So far from anyone or anything that it weighed on you. Isolating, making you feel tiny and small. Thankfully unlike some freighter interceptions, they had a system to wait in, not deep space along the route. The ships of the Ash Dragons floated silently, fighters, and bombers already launched and ready. They didn't know if the freighter they were after would have any escorts, but the goal was not to break the fleet, it was to take the ship or take it's cargo as quickly as possible. With a group of six Ichthon-class SpecOps Corvettes laying in wait, their gravity well projectors active and forming an overlapping wall to catch their target, it was unlikely the cache of precious, and rare Kyber Crystals it contained would slip past them. It was the first strike the Ash Dragons had perpetuated directly against the Silver Jedi Concord, sure they'd raided traders and suppliers headed for them before, but this was the first time they'd planned to hit something owned by the SJC directly.

It was risky, given Khamesi's relative anonymity so far in the wider galaxy, and the Ash Dragons, at least where the Jedi were concerned. If things went well, all they'd know is some opportunistic pirates had hit one of their convoys, and probably increase security on later ones. Then again, Kyber crystals rarely moved in shipments, it was usually a smaller amount. Hell, by the standards of a shipment it was small, but even one Kyber Crystal was worth potentially millions to the right buyer, and the influence the crystals could buy her among her fellow Sith? Priceless. Maybe there was even a rare crystal or two buried among them, a permafrost crystal was one she'd been searching for for some time. They were difficult to find at the best of times.

Five more minutes, give or take, before the ship should be snared in their web. Khamesi moved to get her better troops ready to board the shuttle they'd use to breach the freighter, and everyone began fixing their masks and sealing their vacsuits. It was likely that this would have to be quick, no careful breaching to avoid decompression. They would if they could, but they had to be quick about this. If it had escorts they didn't want to get bogged down in a long fight waiting for reinforcements. If they didn't, there was still a good chance of more than one Jedi on board with the shipment, and even just one Master could disrupt the whole operation. To that end Khamesi made sure she had her grenades ready, and rather than the heavy blaster shotgun she usually carried, she had a scatter gun instead, with a blaster pistol on her hip and her saber hidden in her cloak. She would only ignite that if they encountered a Jedi, and if the Jedi proved troublesome, it'd be discarded in favor of her hands. She closed her eyes, reducing her presence in the force as she counted down till the supposed time the freighter would get dragged from hyperspace and into their trap. At least any Jedi wouldn't know she was there from moment one. That wouldn't last, she wasn't skilled in creating a mask, so a reduced presence hidden among the others would have to do.

Amanda stood there on the bridge she wasn't captaining the ship this was an undercover operation so no official silver jedi craft. They hired out an old aeon ranger for the job Amanda didn't like it but she wasn't in a place to argue about it. Even as a master and with the war efforts around she figured she would be better put on a battlefield but the higher ups wanted a master to help with the defending the three crates of kyber crystals on their way to kashyyk.

She wasn't expecting trouble even though two lightsabers hung from her hip she didn't expect trouble. Let alone from the sith regardless she was fully prepared for something as the ship was pulled from Hyperspace. Her force senses kicked in letting her know of the trouble ahead but not of the Sith on board. She could sense the size of the fleet as the pirate fleet came into view. "We are outgunned and out shipped those fighters and bombers are gonna make escaping almost impossible" the captain said. She thought it out and agreed completely unfortunately. "Can we atleast get out of their interdiction fields then jump randomly" she said the captain thought about it as they did defensive maneuvers to avoid their fire.

"Spread out and surround them, we don't want them jumping. If they want to jump, make them go right down the middle to escape."

Khamesi's orders were simple, only ion weapons would be opening fire, everything else was simply to pick off any attempt to escape with an escape pod or smaller craft if one was docked somewhere hidden. Khamesi wanted those crystals, one way or another. Once the first round of Ion fire from her Zafiroa Raptors opened up, her shuttle and a few others launched, intending to board the ship from multiple angles. Even if there were multiple Jedi on board, they'd have to spread out and repel each group separately. That'd at least give them the chance to snatch even a small amount of value from this, if things went wrong. Khamesi focused on keeping herself masked, but her control was slipping. She could only maintain this reduced presence till she boarded, then the rigors of combat, or simply being ready for it, would let it slip enough that anyone other than a Padawan would probably single her out. If that happened, and there were multiple Jedi, she'd use the ships as a bargaining chip to escape alive. Slay her, and the ship with it's entire crew would be reduced to scrap metal. If they weren't skilled in fighting, diplomats or healers perhaps, she'd kill or at least delay them long enough for her crew to get the job done. Strangely for a Sith, she trusted her crew to do the job she assigned, and wouldn't hold it against them if they failed because of Jedi, only incompetence not being out bested would see them punished. That said her punishments were swift and brutal, a fine line between the carrot and stick.

Amanda stood on the bridge the captain stood next to her "their gonna destroy us" the captain said looking at Amanda Amanda looked back "if they wanted that we'd be dead already they are after the kyber crystals or slaves" she said. Thinking for a second as the ships around them would mobilize around them luckily the crate of kyber crystals where hidden she looked over the battle field there was few options to use for this " use our own twin ion cannons target their gravity well generators of those four ships" she said pointing at an opening enough for the escape shuttle to fly out of with stealth tech the barrage came at the sake time her ship fired.

"Get to the stealth shuttle where the larger crate is ill use the smaller crate as a distraction I'm guessing their leader is looking for it" she said as the cew of 6 ran for it Amanda walked to the central portion of the ship set out her double bladed lightsaber and meditated waiting for the boarders to come aboard since it would take forever to get there ship started and limping plus the silver jedi enclave would send a ship out for repairs immediately if the worst happens or the crew would be compensated for the ship.

Khamesi waited patiently as the shuttles attached with magnetic clamps, her troops using plasma cutters to create openings in the hull with which they could move in, atmosphere retained thanks to the shuttle maintaining the seal. Once her feet touched down on the Jedi ship, she dropped her mask, letting the full brunt of her power, and the darkness within her, spread out through the ship. A practical beacon for whatever Jedi were on board. She would draw any and all Jedi to herself while her troops looted anything of value. She trusted her captains to hold this ship till she and her forces were free, even if that meant diving into the vacuum. They all wore breathing masks and pressure suits for a reason. Khamesi keyed onto open comms, if these people had any records of the Ash Dragons they'd at least know her words were honest, to the letter at least.

"Surrender the cargo of this ship, lay down your weapons, and as Queen of the Ash Dragons, I promise the survival and safe passage of any that follow these instructions. If you resist, I cannot promise you will see another dawn."
