These birds are an increasingly rare site on the world, having been hunted to near-extinction for similarities they possess to the saud dis and how they'll anatomy can similarly be altered based on the influence of one of the planet's Nexuses.

Strengths
  • Soaring Above: The Kurnia Seren has large, powerful wings that can give out great gusts as well as keep them air-born for long periods of time.
  • Frostbitten: These magnificent animals have adapted and evolved to flourish in frigid and glacial landscapes and as such have a strong resistance to the cold.
  • Touched by the Force: By the extremely unlikely chance a certain set of conditions are met, these beasts can develop a connection to the Force through a symbiotic relationship that is allowed to exist.
Weaknesses
  • Flight: In the realm of 'fight or flight' these birds will fly and avoid any situation those possesses the potential to gravely injure them
  • Fragility: Outside of resistances they have evolved to possess toward individual environmental risks, these creatures are not exceptionally resilient, namely in the physical sense and can be fairly easily injured or killed via malicious physical contact.
  • Withering Numbers: The Kurnia Seren is on the brink of extinction due to the adverse conditions required for them to thrive as well as the result of unregulated hunting of their kind in search of symbiotic organism said to exist in 1 in 220 of the creatures. There are roughly 1200 Kurnia Seren living today.
Culture
  • Diet: Various fish and small animals
  • Communication: Typical sounds reminiscent of non-sentient avian life

Historical Information

Among the many creatures unique to Yesmireen is the Kurnia Seren, a large, avian species notably located throughout either of the world's two poles. To observe these creatures is invigorating as their majestic forms are thought to be awe inspiring. Even so, these birds have become to dwindle in numbers as unregulated hunting has driven the species to the brink of extinction for both, their meat which is often seen as a delicacy due to its natural flavor and tenderness, as well as the gems that can be found in rare specimens among the species. Where once these creatures thrives in the millions throughout the world of Yesmireen, the Kurnia Seren now see their numbers at an estimated 1200 living. Among these 1200, roughly 220 are suspected to be carrying the genetic trait, as influenced by the planet's light side Force Nexus, Serin, to develop the ultra rare gemstone now known as the Serrisht Crystal.

How these relationship comes into being is largely unknown among scientist, but is commonly lumped into a nature similar to that which causes a similar symbiotic relationship present among rare members of the Saud Dis species.

What is suspected is that rare genetic reactions occur within select members of the species while within the influence of the Nexus, Serin. This influence is said to create a certain kind of symbiote within the biological make up of the affected Kurnia Seren which allows for the formation of a strange crystalline structure inside them. Whether or not this symbiote affords the affected member of the species is still up for debate, but what evidence and observation suggests is that once this relationship is realized that the affected member achieves a minor affinity for the Force, though the levels of control are simply raw, instinctual and unrefined.

It is because of this that the Kurnia Seren were often seen as a kind of trophy when their numbers flourished on the Yesmireen. In current times, however, similarly to the Saud Dis, to kill one of these is seen as somewhat of an omen and word among the native people of the world is that one that does commit to such a heinous act of violence, will be left with a cursed life. This, however, has yet to be proven beyond mere superstition as told through the years by the indigenous of the world itself.
