Description:
Kitsune is a pale, tall Near-Human young adult with long moonlight white hair. She is quite tall for a humanoid, and has a slender athletic build. Kitsune is innately Force sensitive, a trait of her race, Vahla, and is lighter than most regular Humans due to her biological composition: instead of dense calcified bones, the Vahla posses cartilaginous skeletons, giving them exceptional flexibility.
Kitsune never dresses casually, and instead, opts for her formal traditional attire: a flowing sapphire kimono composed of the finest threads of silk and interwoven layers of armorweave. Her nails are carefully painted a shade of crimson red, while her hair is styled with various aurodium ornaments, or kanzashi. When the need for conflict arises, Kitsune opts out for her light ceremonial armor, which has a built-in energized exoskeleton and a series of servomotors to accommodate the weight of the armor.
Biography:
Kitsune was born in the desolate plains of deepspace aboard the Mikoshi. The Vahla were a nomadic people, divided into a series of clans. Kitsune belonged to the ostracized into a forsaken clan: a clan which had rejected the beliefs of the cult, the Ember of Vahl, and embraced a unique polytheistic belief of various gods. Kitsune's clan was alienated to the extent that their name was forcibly relinquished and thus, all members of the clan had lacked a last name. Following the fringes of the nomadic fleet of the Vahla as scavengers and beggars, Kitsune's clan was at the mercy of its unsympathetic peers. Living at the complete mercy of their fellow Vahla, the clan of Kitsune were branded as demons and marked as the very dregs of society.
Yet their isolation was their redemption: during the onsets of the Age of Chaos, Kitsune's clan was spared from the onslaught of marauders, bandits and pirates. In fact, as the Age of Chaos progresses, most of the other clans were destroyed and Kitsune's clan eventually abandoned their fellow peers for the off-chance of discovering a new, and better life amid the bedlam of the perpetual and vicious cycle of the reconstruction and subversion of society.
The clan of Kitsune realized that war was inevitable during the Age of Chaos; the galaxy had evolved after the outbreak of the Gulag Plague to embrace conflict as the very essence of society. Thus, Kitsune’s clan embraced the constant turmoil, serving as diplomats, spymasters, strategists, and logistical commissaries for the countless military and paramilitary forces in the galaxy. As Kitsune’s clan became more and more involved with the pandemonium of the galaxy, it soon became the instigators and purveyors of war, earning them the moniker, the “Demons of War.” Thus, the nameless clan of Kitsune rebranded as the Yokai, the overarching word for the mythical creatures of its religion. The Yokai Clan adopted the motto, “Death is a commodity, and we are its merchant."
Despite its growing reputation in the galaxy, the Yokai Clan lingered to establish its own imperialism in the galaxy. At the beginning of this newly emerging Imperial Period of the Yokai Clan, Number 5938 was born: at birth, newly born infants of the Yokai were nameless, and their eventual given name was based on the culminating rank after years of rigorous education, training, and testing. Number 5938 was one of the many youth of her age cultivated to be apart of the pinnacle of society. After birth, Number 5938 was removed from her birth parents and placed into a sterile learning environment in which identical humanoid nursing droids were used to optimally educate and nurture the infants. Since birth, Number 5938 underwent a strict regiment focused on quickly developing intelligence necessary for independent reasoning and thinking.
After reaching the beginning of intellectual mental development, Number 5938 was reclassified from an infant to a child, and placed in an accelerated education program taught at maximum efficiency: children were taught to be less dependent on sleep by employing REM Sleep Cycles and individualized nutritional plans which maximized time efficiency and metabolic function. Here, Number 5983 was learned about the Bushido Code (the tenets of the Code of Laws of Clan Yokai), galactic history, culture and society, the languages Galactic Basic, Yokai and Vahla, basic Spaceship and Vehicle Operations, general scientific knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics, advanced mathematics, and finally, the foundations of Echani arts and other martial arts were all taught at maximum efficiency. After the completion of this entire program at the age of eight, Number 5983 took the Clan's rigorous placement test into their future role, gauging their skills, innate aptitudes, and personalities in five fields: Martial, Social, Intellect, Psyche and Perception.
Clan Yokai was a brutal meritocracy, and the societal position of each person was determined by their own skill and merit. Scoring the highest Psyche score and an exceptional high Martial and Social score, Number 5983 was given the name Kitsune, or Yokai for Fox. Kitsune was then placed into the Clan's two second-tier educational programs at the same time: not only was Kitsune extensively instructed in the art of warfare, military history, tactics and stratagem, but also the diplomacy of war, the political systems of the galaxy and the methodological process of subterfuge. After completing her arduous education, Kitsune was immediately exiled on the ISS Mikoshi from the Clan with only a single task: "Bring us an army."
